Halo 4 also works, but it works as the end of their journey together, and Cortana's story itself. Everything after that, and some of the other material which helped set the stage for Halo 4 (also, not sure about the Spartan Ops lore for Halo 4, just talking about the Campaign here) is... It starts at 'questionable' and gets worse.
@@SkyHawk2137Halo 4 doesn't work. Cortana is wasted for an emotional shock/payoff that is unearned by the game. The Forerunner not being human is a delusion of Frank Connor. Going completely against everything in the trilogy.
A tad niche, but... what about a 40k song, focused on Erasmus Haarlock, enigmatic Rogue Trader and heretic, who tried to save his long dead wife and daughter, after they were killed by an assassin, and in revenge, he wiped out his own Dynasty, before delving into dark secrets to learn time manipulation to get his wife and daughter back... and may have become something dark and inhuman in the process. While not the best Dark Heresy 1e trilogy, he is a compelling and interesting character.
