Adele is truly a living legend.
The thing I love about Beyonce's response is that interview was in 2008, 5 years ago, just after adele's first album, Beyonce was singing her praises from the start, ahead of most other celebs. Just good to know that she takes the time to find good music and doesn't just wait until its popular. Then again I suppose it doesn't matter when you discover Adele, so long as you do.

She doesn't care about what others think of her body or clothes or taking her shoes off the stage or talking about pissing & shitting or swearing (all stuff she said on stage) she doesn't try to follow the herd or get approved by anyone, she represent who she is and that's why she is loved by all. People are sick of factory-made stars.
I'm not sure its her attitude as much as it is her singing. We live in an age where every artist is run through an autotune first. Every album we hear they only sing the chorus once, then its recorded and inserted into the song, which is literally constructed. Adele is old school, so when we listen to her songs she will sing the chorus slightly differently throughout the song. Add those imperfections to her amazing voice and I think thats one of the reasons she stands out among the current crop of singers. Its no secret that when she launched her new album last year everybody from Rhianna to Taylor Swift all put back their own album launch dates they were that intimidated.

I have always thought she was gorgeous.
I think when pop stars mention her looks it's mostly because the music industry will put a damn teenager who's under 135 on a diet to sell records because so much is based on sex appeal and wearing leotards with heels lol.
When your voice is straight gold , you write, plus play an instrument or two you don't need costumes, lights, "looks" or choreography .
Don't get me wrong I listen to artists that do that stuff too... sometimes , but I prefer an artist who doesn't require it. That would be Adele.
