May be considered elegant, but, IMHO, incredibly DRAB!!!! Add some color and spice it up, put some life into this home. A slight bit of red, in the one room only, but otherwise, very depressing!!! I like homes that have LIFE to them, and this one leaves me totally COLD!!!!
Most homes decorated like this belong to Americans. French people don't have the habit of being too preoccupied with the appearance and decoration of their homes. So to call this "French" is not correct.
This home is stunning to look at. It’s perfection, however, it just looks like a showcase and not livable. I want to live in my home and not be afraid to put my feet up or spill anything. Can you imagine having children or animals in that house? It’s way to perfect to to live in (for me) and is strictly eye candy. But, to each his own. With that said, it’s decorated beautifully and the furniture is gorgeous. Pure perfection.

It's beautiful. Usually this French Provincial style does not appeal to me. I usually prefer Modern or a blend of Parisian Traditional meets Modern. But this really feels tasteful and unfussy.
