What a beautiful song 🎵 The words, the orchestra.... don't freak out, but I've never been IN love... but the idea is beautiful. Great song choice, Chris ❤ Your eyes lit up Hap, wonderful reaction ✌️ ☮️ 🎶 🥷

    The poem is essential. Period.

I personally feel that the full length version has to be experienced at least oncce, but for regular listen I prefer either the radio edit or live version. For regular listening the poem can start to feel a little overblown, self indulgent and pretentious, the very thing punk was trying to stand up against.

You said it HAP, that's a WOW 💥. What a great live performance with such an epic ending. That ending was the icing on the cake. To see how these instruments play together and how these voices and especially Justin Hayward's voice harmonize is just something special. Many thanks to HAP for this enthusiastic reaction and to Chris for this excellent choice🤩🙋🏻‍♀️.

I was at this show so it's good to see it again. Sad to see Graeme Edge (drums) and Ray Thomas (Einstein's cousin 😊) as they have both passed since this concert. Thanks for your reaction, Hap. 💕

One of my favorites of all time. This a beautiful song which becomes more meaningful as one matures and goes through life's love emotional experiences. In the end the what if's are and were not meant to be and I agree with you it's not the ones who got away, it's is their loss. This situation happened because there is someone very special that will come into one's life to move forward with and the past will be just that. The past!. Excellent reaction Hap, love it!!💜🎵 awesome song selection, Chris 👍

Totally right, it's how it affects ME now, more than it did back in the day when it first came out. Except I LOST the one who I was with for a very very long time, and it's so hard to get over it, even though it is NOT recent. Was the love of my life.

HAP, I am SOOOOO glad you finally reacted to this LIVE version of "Nights in White Satin," I LOVE it, even more than the recorded one, which I have had on vinyl and bought when it was first released back then when I was a university student. I was lucky enough to see the Moody Blues in concert around the same time they performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London, here in Ohio. It was fantastic. I LOVE The Moody Blues.

My husband has seen them three times in the Chicago area. The first time they were stripped down (no orchestra) and he said while it was good it wasn't great> The next two times he saw them twenty years later in the 90s, they had the local orchestra accompanying and both times were EPIC! Great band, large catalog! Glad you enjoyed it!

I loved your reaction. I have listened to this song since it first came out, and the entire album ( I was in college at the time). And you said it perfectly: someone like myself going through grief right now can be deeply moved. My husband passed 2 years ago and it still seems like yesterday. The 2nd verse really hits home (“ just what I’m going through they can’t understand). Your insight was spot on!
PS: I love all of your reaction videos!

Thanks for the memories Chris! This song was the theme for my sister's high school prom (she is a year older than I am) HA! I don't remember what mine was. Such a pretty song but I don't remember it being so much orchestra. Has it always been?

Your reaction was perfect. I listened to this album Day of Future Past when I was in college many years ago. Now, as my life has evolved, listening to this brings on a whole new meaning with the passing of my husband 2 years ago. It evokes so many more emotions now than when I was young. This performance is breathtaking, perfect, emotional and awe inspiring.

I loved this song when it was released in 1967 but I was so young I thought the song was Knights in White Satin, lol. After I grew up a little more I bought the album & it was quite a revelation. The spoken word poem, Late Lament, inserted at the end lifts the song to a whole ‘nother level. Give it a listen & see what you think (even if you don’t record/react to it): ruclips.net/video/7JFQl_OPofU/видео.htmlsi=DMAuAy79-EAqrXZ6
