Ihad stiff sore muscle after taking bay leaves tea I'm relief from pains at the age of 69 thanks for the video South Africa
Thank you so much for watching and sharing your experience with me!
In the area of Northern California where I lived as a child, Bay trees grew abundantly. My dad a miner at the time would harvest the leaves for a fellow miner who was stricken with rheumatoid arthritis. The fellow would make a strong tea which he claimed relived the pain allowing him to continue working. At that time you worked or starved, no government program to fall back on. ...Sometime in the 80’s a blight killed the trees. The correct name for these trees is California Laurel.
Laurel, thanks! What a story. Wow.
You can also hang a small bunch of Bay Leaves in your wardrobes or put a leaf in your drawers, cupboards or pantry etc It repel moths from your clothing
Edwina, thanks for this great suggestion! You are very correct.
Thank you for your video and sharing.
I recently learnt burning bay leaves and closing the door to the room helps purify the air. A bay leaf deters insects, place rhem Ina pantry, cupboard, behind fridges, and cockroaches will leave, although it doesn't kill them they will leave.
I make bay leaf & thyme tea for mucus . For me it helps to breathe better. And from what I understand that bay leaf can help you to lose weight.
Yes, I've heard this too!
Thank you. Just came across your channel , so glad I did.

Another great video, thank you! I harvested a huge portion of lemongrass this year which I've been making into tea, hot or cold. But you've just inspired me to buy a bay leaf (also called Laurel) plant this spring. I cook with it a lot and never thought to make tea with it! I'll give this a try, for sure.

No problem Margo!
Dear Ashley,
Thank you for sharing your knowledge of the uses for Bay leaves. I never knew it had good health benefits! My mother has a lung problem so I will share this with her. I just bought some and will start using it for tea for now on. Do you happen to know if the commercially sold is sprayed? I know it repels certain insects, but wondering if it should be rinsed with vinegar and water first?
Thank you for this vedio wish God's blessings

Have a good Thanksgiving.
You too Paul! Where do you live?

That is wonderful! Thank you for sharing our culture and I hope you are having a wonderful time 😍
You’re Lebanese? My dad was, too. I still miss my Sittu’s cooking and regret never having had her teach me her recipes.
Yes, and Armenian! Well, I've got TONS of recipes for you to catch up on!!
I came by your video in my search for interest in Bay leaf tea. Happy 💕 that I did, thank you for sharing this information. I have a quick question. What do you do with bay leaves, cloves and cinnamon when you have strained them?
Glad it was helpful! After they're strained, they're typically trashed because the nutrients have been absorbed into the tea or water. I personally put them in a compost for my worms in the yard.
@@BecomeInspired Thank you for replying so quickly. 😊 I have a compost bin. 💕
@@SuperShassa You're so welcome! I reply as soon as I can because I love hearing from my viewers. Thanks for sharing with me. Keep using that compost bin!!

Do you know if it helps people who have had a stroke? cerebral infarction?please i need to now
Interested in bay leaf tea as it is supposed to get rid of bunions - but it takes months.
I've heard it does help with this!
I really enjoyed your video, and for sure, today, I'll be making some Bay Leaf tea:).
I'm guessing, but if I use fresh leaves, would I need more than 6-8?
Thank you, and have an amazing day!
Fresh leaves, you'll do fine with 6-10, that wouldn't be a problem at all.
@@BecomeInspired Thank you for your response.
I wonder if you've eaten Fig tree leaves? I've a tree that I'm still trying to get fruit out of, learning this year, on Vancouver Island, I'll have to settle for the Breva Crop....
The leaves looked so wonderful, I dried some to make tea. It's delicious but I've still not found much about the leaves nutritionally. Since I'm playing with ferments, I'm a thinkin' to play with them in this way. Any feedback for me, and thanks ahead.
Too much cloves can dry up blood. Research before using clives. Thanks for the tea recipe.
Wow! How did you find that out? Thanks for sharing.
I am in East Texas, north of Houston, and have hundreds of bay trees. I wanted to be able to provide to others online, but when I Hang branches to dry the leaves, they are not as attractive as from the store. Trying to learn to dry to retain the pretty leaf.
That's really cool! Great weather there for bay leaves. How is that working out?
Hi, first time discover your channel. I live in northern California. want to know where to buy Bay leaf tree so I could grow? your answer will be appreciated.

HOW DO YU GROW BAYLEAVS
Hi Joe, they're not hard to grow! Someday I'll do a video of that for you all.
🍵🤍
Yay!
Where do you leave? Can you sell to me?
I live in Southern California!
Thank you but it tastes terrible .
Sorry to hear that
@janettedavis6627 - I remove the leaves from the pot before serving. They add great flavor similar to thyme and oregano but you can’t eat bay leaves. They are bitter. Only used to infuse flavor.
It’s not a secret
You're right, too many people have now watched this video...

I am, thanks Tim, I'll take that compliment!
Thank you. Grow Moringa and sweet Potato for the leaves.
Thanks for the tip!
