Still seems like a good idea to add supports on the opposite side, right? That half of the roof could potentially collapse and fall and probably end up bending the posts if the ones on the side of the door are supported by the door frame
For coleman and Fleetwood this can’t happen. The arms are staged and stainless steel. In this instance they jam and stop the roof. You can find examples on our lift cable replacement video. Thanks for watching and writing!

I've seen where a couple of people have took the larger (slide out) Coleman campers and had a wider door made (well one had a door made, the other used a screen....I'm going to do the door). Thinking of buying one and doing to same to accommodate a ramp and wheelchair (I realize I will have to do some remodeling inside as well). Really wish Coleman made more of their Evergreen models (they are unicorns). In the event, I do what I'm wanting to do, what type of supports could I use for the sides?
