Mission accomplished. Super sweep and super squad threw down performance of the year. If the Bowerman Award could be awarded to relay team, this one would be a no-brainer. The NCAA 400 Women Final had times worthy of the Olympic Final (all top 4 could medal in any order). The winning time for the 4x400 women relay is likely to be in the top 2 of the Olympic Final in Paris. We may not witness performances like this for a very long time unless Arkansas has more magic up their sleeves. I hope so.
I'm thinking that razorback team would have taken home silver at this yrs Olympics. And I wouldn't be surprised in the least to see either effiong or the true freshman make the 4 x 400 Olympic team.
But how? How were they so far behind Britton last year and then make massive improvements and also coached the freshmen to tie Brittons time, the former collegiate record. Just starting to feel too good to be true. I hope they can prove me wrong. Edit: I'll half walk it back in that I'm not claiming it's doping, I'm just perplexed. Maybe it's the next evolution of supershoes or some sort of grueling training that works well for a while. I just don't understand how one program can dominate so much, the whole squad beat the entire outdoor list other than Paulino the world champion.
@Sough They are just a recruiting machine. The same way Alabama dominated college football. Arkansas track and field has been dominant for years so stop with the doping rumors .
@sough in all fairness when Amber Anning transferred from LSU and they got the commitment from Jackson I think this was something that was expected. The only real surprise from this was the season the freshman Brown had. What's even crazier is Wilson still had eligibility left
@@Sough They know how to build em. They did a special training to bring Britton to 49 low last year and also make her tougher. I recall the 400m "repeats" in practice with an 800m runner. 5 sets of 400m run at 60 seconds each with 4 minutes of rest. They ran the last one in 58 seconds.

If you watched Olympic qualification relay event in Bahamas recently USA team run 3:21.70s to win the title..but today Arkansas did 4 second faster than USA team. If Arkansas team can be in Paris they will easily get the gold medal.
Well, easily top 2, maybe first. The US team at relays was led by Alexis Holmes, who is a fine runner but might not even make the squad at the Olympics ( Sydney, Brown herself, Mu, Gabby or Abby, Wilson if healthy).
This might be an unbreakable record . The chances that a future team will have 4 sub 50 runners on the same team is really low. This might be the most unbreakable record in all of college track and field.
