Yup! 1--No project is as easy as it looks. 2--It will always take you a lot longer than you think. 3--It will always cost you more than you think. I always make these mistakes with things like painting a room. I always think it will take a few hours (because I always forget about multiple coats of paint and dry time) and I always think I'm prepared, but always end up running to the store for materials I forgot or need more of. The other day, my mother said "You can move out in one day! What is taking so long?" LOL NO! Moving out can take a month or more depending on how you do it and how many people are helping.

Love it. I’ve been wanting to do my sink for some time. I’d love to hear how the cement is holding up. Also, I’d have to do inside my sink. I wonder how durable it’ll be up against water, teeth brushing, so on and so forth.
Yes! A bunch of people have mentioned that their sinks would need to be covered too… I have heard others describe this product as waterproof, and now that the sealant is on and dried, it seems VERY durable. The kids brush their teeth in here, so we’ve gotten toothpaste and water and everything on it, but that’s obviously not as intense as it would be if we actually had the cement in a sink. The can says “water resistant” which makes me wonder if maybe it wouldn’t work? But if you call the company directly, they have so many products, I bet they could tell you what to use to make it work. Since people have done entire showers in this stuff, I’d think it could handle most uses!
The bathroom looks beautiful. That countertop looks very tricky to do. When I saw you had a video up I was like woohoo! Love your DIY’s and makeovers. You rock girl! Keep ‘em coming 👍💕

Gutsy move with the concrete but it came out ok. Ya might wanna get a 2 qrt/ gallon whatever & do some practice before you do the next one. As they say, practice makes perfect. Not a fan of the checkered tile though.
