I think MLB should threaten all the HR leaders to play the derby or be fined ($500K or 1M ). Have the position starters play no less than 7 or 8 innings then have the reserves play the last one or two innings and the SP pitcher go no less than 5 or 6 innings if the game is already low-scoring then the relievers can come in. Bring it back to where the players just wear the uniform of the team they represent, I’ve always preferred that to some of those poor attempts at all star uniforms.
I’ve been a baseball fan since 06 and I’ve always liked that MLB had the only All Star Game that really meant something. Hated that they went away with it and hope they bring it back.

Making at all star game meaningful is stupid. The all star game is an exhibition game with alot of star players playing together..that’s the appeal

These guys are making way too big of a deal over a exhibition All Star Game and the freakin home run derby. Just take it for what it is, enjoy it
