- The Montecristo No. 5 is one of the five traditional cigars, that Montecristo released in the beginning. In this case we are smoking this little but powerful cigar that was boxed in 2013. So it's coming from a time, where cuban cigars rarely had quality issues.

Paired this with a Dr Pepper soda. Beautiful. The cigar becomes creamy and the finish lasts longer.
Nice. Unfortunately I‘m not really into Dr. Pepper but I pair a lot of my smokes with different kind of sodas.
I dont drink it either....too medicinic in taste. But i pair it specifically for cigars

I have one of those #5 in my humidor that a friend gave me for my birthday a few years back that I haven't smoked yet. I will pair anything with my cigar I think its about what ever you like or have a taste for at the moment.
Friend of mine pairs it with ice cream. Why not 😂 As you said, as long as you like it, give it a try 👍🏻

@@smokersspot I will love to try that, pair a cigar with ice cream. Thats a whole new world right there. I can imagine a dark chocolate, vanilla, caramel, coffee, and I had a bourbon ice cream one time. Some of those flavors and more I imagine to pair nicely. I will have try that!

@@smokersspot I have a while back when I lived in New Jersey up near N ew York, I had a friend of mine who used to get them before the US had dropped the ban on Cuban Cigars. I had the Cuban Montecristo No. 5 in 2013, but not recently.

What is the minimum you would age the #5?
Look at the boxdate if possible and then add another six months before trying the first one. If you only have a single and don’t know the boxdate I would leave it in my humidor for at least 3 months.
