Just as an alternative, not sure if it still works with the PS5 but I used it with the PS4. But if you want to play directly on the PS5 rather than the PC, but still want to record, you should be able to link up your Remote Play using Account A, then play on the PS5 with Account B. Since they are different accounts, as long as you don't log out of Account A you should be fine to run it.

So what you have to connect a controller to the computer? And then an ethernet cable to the computer? What about the PS5? What network does that get connected to for internet?
Yep you connect the controller to the computer. Everything can be on Wifi but for better quality, ethernet is best. It doesn't matter which network, just as long as you have internet on both devices (PC and PS5).
@@DatSamurai surely that creates some level of lag for competitive online gaming. The quality difference was significant, it looks like it would have reduced it to less than 1080.
@HarlinTutoriales you can minimize delay by using Ethernet for both your PC and PS5. Or you can get better wifi speeds from your provider. The delay will always be there though, just not as much with better connections.
Saw some comments on this about connecting using the "connect audio beta" version on the display capture in OBS. Personally i had issues with going this route. Quick question mate, like streaming on ps5 would it be the same as playing on pc, because its smaller screen but could u still be able to play while seeing, like for example Fortnite, if so thanks man!
I made the audio output source and I have a Bluetooth headset with my ps5 it’s a usb I plug into the ps5 and then I can hear the game but on the source I don’t see my headphones
thank you! question though...I have a wired headset and before all this i connect my headset to the ps5 controller and using a yeti for mic connected to ps5. but with this set up, do i plug in the headset and the mic to the pc? How i do talk to my teammates in game though?
Hey man, thanks for this video! Got a question about the controller connection. Ive been seeing on other videos that theres major input latency issues when streaming ps5 through pc. Is this something thats corrected simply by connectiing through pc and not the console? Didnt look like there was that issue in your video.
Hey glad to help! In my experience, I experience the same lag as you normally would playing natively on console (12ms). I think it comes down to your internet connect. In my testing, my PC and console are both on ethernet in the same room. Also I have gigabit speeds with Verizon and only 1 other person using the wifi at a time. So my conditions are perfect. If you're experiencing lag, you can try the dummy controller method by connecting a controller from a different profile to your console and that won't end the remote play session. But I'm not sure how it works exactly but others suggest this. Hope this helps!
Argh, not going to work for me, I'm trying to remote play with a T150 wheel for GT7 so it obviously has to be connected to the PS5. Why can't Sony just allow us to have a "Remote View" feature specifically for helping streamers?
Looks like you’re only using one monitor. Here’s how to set it up with one monitor (from the free PDF guide in the description ✌🏾): In the source section to the right of “scenes”, click the plus button to add a new source. We are going to add a “Window Capture”. Name it something like “Game Capture” and click OK. You should see a new window pop up with some settings. For “Window” select [Remote Play.exe]: PS Remote Play. NOTE: You might see a black screen in the preview when you select this. Change “Capture Method” from “Automatic” to “Windows 10 (1903 and up)”. Mines say Windows 10 but it might say 11 if you are running Windows 11. This should make the capture pop up.
Hmm if I’m understanding then question correctly your streaming from the PS5 directly which means that’s the broadcasting device. You won’t be able to connect OBS to it like that. You should just use the PS5 camera if streaming straight from the PS5
Sure can! Just follow the steps for adding VTuber Studio to OBS. If I remember correctly, it’s just a browser source with the alpha channel effect for green screen.
Yo! So I just tried this myself yesterday. Basically you won’t be able to use your headset with your controller. The controller can only be used as a mic for your party chat. Unfortunately there’s no way around this from what I understand.
@@DatSamurai but if I buy a capture card or usb or whatever, will I be able to speak through my controle then? If not, I guess I’ll have to get a mic or something!
@MauriceAssaf With a capture card, you can use your headset with an audio splitter like the Elgato Chatlink Pro. Sony does this stupid thing where if you plug headphones into the controller, it routes all audio to the controller and not through HDMI. They don’t have a setting to let you keep the HDMI audio while using a headset. So you have to split the audio with an audio splitter like the chat link. Hope this helps 🙏🏾

@krissydiggs awesome! Doing it this way might leave you playing the game inside of OBS which isn’t ideal. You can get an HDMI splitter to you can still play it on your TV/Monitor. But at that point you’re close to spending $30-$40. Might as well get a Mirabox for better quality for the same price. But up to you! Here’s links for your convenience HDMI splitter: amzn.to/3Sa6UCO Mirabox: amzn.to/3WFTLC2 Elgato HD60 X (Just in case): amzn.to/3hEW0XO
@@DatSamurai question to follow-up, is there a way to make this look less blurry? it doesn't look as vibrant as directly on the ps5, like is there a resolution fix? I play on 1440p monitor so idk if this is just maxed at 1080p?
the video was supper helpful but when i went and checked my stream during the quality as so bad ): i checked in the ps remote play app and it goes max 720 without the hdr but i dont know how to set up the hdr and dont know if i can , any tips?

So you want at least double the bitrate you're streaming at in upload speeds. For example: if you're bitrate is 6000kpbs (Full HD) you want to have at least 12mbps upload speeds. That's your basic 100mbps internet plan here in the US. I personal have Gigabit speeds so I can do 4K streaming 👍🏾

You lost me at adding "Sources" > "Display Capture". Im trying to set up from a Mac laptop with OBS to my PS5. The remote play was set up successfully and shows on my laptop screen but the display capture source aint capturing my display, lol. SOS
Lol no worries! You’re gonna wanna check out the Mac version of this video here: ruclips.net/video/Bd6-dY3KPkg/видео.htmlsi=AZc-eHU2HcGZ1BWK
On Mac you’re gonna use the MacOS Screen Capture source, change the Method to Window and find your Remote Play window in the drop down box. Add that and fit to screen. Check out the video and the free PDF Guide if you get stuck 🙏🏾
Why does it think my computer is another controller and it won’t let me play ?
Awesome video! Thank you
Bro you are amazing! Best video walk through for sure.
You just saved my whole life kind sir
thank you! question though...I have a wired headset and before all this i connect my headset to the ps5 controller and using a yeti for mic connected to ps5. but with this set up, do i plug in the headset and the mic to the pc?
Is this with a dual monitor?
Yes, but you don't need two monitors. It makes everything way easier though.
Very helpful video. Coming from an Aunty assisting her Nephew.
this is great thank you
Argh, not going to work for me, I'm trying to remote play with a T150 wheel for GT7 so it obviously has to be connected to the PS5. Why can't Sony just allow us to have a "Remote View" feature specifically for helping streamers?
Dang! I definitely feel ya on that one. Hopefully you can’t find a workaround for the wheel connection 🙏🏾
@@DatSamurai Fixed it with a second controller, turns out you dont have to use a controller connected to your PC at all
Thanks for this
GREAT VIDEO. saved me
At 3:20 I don’t see the remote play only monitor capture
You saved my life. Thank You!!
Happy to help 🙏🏾
I'm getting stuck at 3:08 when selecting my display I am only given one option and that's the (primary monitor) and not the ps5 remote
Looks like you’re only using one monitor. Here’s how to set it up with one monitor (from the free PDF guide in the description ✌🏾):
In the source section to the right of “scenes”, click the plus button to add a new source.

What’s the lag like?
I was watching another video on this and was wondering why my controller kept disconnecting. Thank you dude.
Great video brother
Is it possible to have the voice audio from ur headset streamed with the gameplay?
Only for your party Audio but not game chat. Just change the party from headset to HDMI.
Thank you. I couldn't use it as I don't like the lag due to my setup, but I appreciate the detailed explanation.
It’s all good! Definitely grab a capture card when you can 👍🏾
Thank you so much!
Glad it helped!
Quick Question.. how do i transfer the audio to my headphones
Thank you so much!!
Glad I could help 🙏🏾
Might be a daft question but is it not possible to stream from console (ps5) while using your OBS for the selfie cam?
Hmm if I’m understanding then question correctly your streaming from the PS5 directly which means that’s the broadcasting device. You won’t be able to connect OBS to it like that. You should just use the PS5 camera if streaming straight from the PS5
Yo, everything is working amazing but My friends can't hear me at PlayStation parties?
Your mic will be your controller with this method. Make sure your controller mic isn’t muted 👍🏾
Can I but a pngtuber on the obs app
Sure can! Just follow the steps for adding VTuber Studio to OBS. If I remember correctly, it’s just a browser source with the alpha channel effect for green screen.
Is there a way to have a mic for chat and a mic for game while streaming from ps5 to obs?
Amazing, thank you! Yes we want to see how you punlt the Overlay! Please and thank you again?!
Im new to this and im trying to learn how to do everything! But how do i make my headset work with the game? as if i was using the controller.
@@DatSamurai man, you are the best RUclipsr out there. It’s the first one someone actually takes the time to explain something and literally it’s like a guide for dummies (I say this as a compliment)
You gained a new subscriber 🙌🏽 all the way from Ecuador. Much love man!
😂 I appreciate your comment! I’m a real person trying to help real people with streaming. This stuff can be hella complicated. Glad I could help and let me know what you’d like a video on next ✌🏾.
What about making the stream hear your PS-groupchat? I have problms with that. Good video! Everything else works just fine
Thank you so much sir! this helped me tremendously.
So, could I still be in a party and have my microphone connected for PlayStation and it would work?
Thank you!
Can you somehow use this method without having 2 displays available? Can the ps remote app act as a kind of virtual display to output in OBS?
Check out the PDF guide. I show how to do it with one monitor. bit.ly/PS5-OBS-PDF
Will do, thanks a lot @@DatSamurai
How about in game mic audio.. say for eg, in Rocket league we have in game chat.. its not coming when I connect it to my ps remote play in PC.. should I need to change anything else??
Even with it wire connected, I still have issues with the signal just flat out dropping. :/
Is my internet just shit?
It’s not a perfect solution to stream like this, but it’s a good way to try it if you don’t know if you like streaming. Miles will vary. In your case, I’d just get a capture card and go all in. Check out this video where I compare different price points and quality:

@@DatSamurai I ended up getting this little hdmi dongle thing that converts to usb C. Works surprisingly well!
Here’s links for your convenience
HDMI splitter: amzn.to/3Sa6UCO
Mirabox: amzn.to/3WFTLC2
Elgato HD60 X (Just in case): amzn.to/3hEW0XO
give this man more likes, great walkthrough video keep it up
Appreciate you🙏🏾 more vids coming real soon!
@@DatSamurai question to follow-up, is there a way to make this look less blurry? it doesn't look as vibrant as directly on the ps5, like is there a resolution fix? I play on 1440p monitor so idk if this is just maxed at 1080p?
Hold alt while dragging to crop
This was extremely helpful. Thank you VERY MUCH!
You're very much welcome! 🙏🏾
This is good but when I use remote play it doesent let me control my ps5 instead I can only control my computer because the USB connected to it
You have to click on the remote play window so it’s highlighted.
When I try to do the display capture I'm not getting the option for the PS
You have to go to window capture
Is there a reason why my remote play option won’t show up? And when it does it says (null) and won’t show anything.
the video was supper helpful but when i went and checked my stream during the quality as so bad ): i checked in the ps remote play app and it goes max 720 without the hdr but i dont know how to set up the hdr and dont know if i can , any tips?
No worries! Yeah the quality relies heavily on your internet connection. Are you able to get a capture card at all? I made a video comparing some at various price points here: ruclips.net/video/2Qdx4wwwk90/видео.htmlsi=TjTwZeIND5_bihjF
Can we talk and hear the party chat and game chat with wireless headset?
"Remote play connected" notification shows in Remote play. How di I "remove remote play notification" in the remote play app?
what kind of upload and download speeds would you recommend for wifi to have good quality streams?
So you want at least double the bitrate you're streaming at in upload speeds. For example: if you're bitrate is 6000kpbs (Full HD) you want to have at least 12mbps upload speeds. That's your basic 100mbps internet plan here in the US. I personal have Gigabit speeds so I can do 4K streaming 👍🏾
Thank you soo much! This was super easy to follow and I was able to do my first stream! But it kept glitching every 5 seconds, do I need a separate internet box or something?
Hi please help when I create a display capture, I can't change from main monitor to remote play and idk what to do please respond at your earliest convenience.
I got everything to work however my controller keeps jumping almost as if its drifting. I need help please
