    Samsung Galaxy s7 Front Glass Screen Repair. It is very difficult. The loca glue is hard and the LCD is very thin, which is very easy to break.

    You have much more patience than I do. I was going to replace just the glass since it is cracked, but I'm going to save up enough to get the LCD screen with the glass already on it. I can't believe there is so much to replacing just the glass. Thank you for the video, I definitely learned a lot!

      Way easier to just replace the whole display unit (and even cheaper just to get a second hand flawless S7 since replacement front display units are more expensive).

    Super cool video, thank, this is not for amateurs obviously. There were several special tools, several different types of glues and cleaners used and even sped up by somebody who has done this before took 30 min, in real time I bet this is every bit of a 2 hr job. Either drop it off somewhere or buy new. If you don't care about the phone continuing to be waterproof you can skip the glue back procedures.

    Thanks for this video, going to be switching LCD and Screen between two S7s (one screen is broken).

  • @scyphe
    @scyphe 3 года назад +1

    Great video. It gave me the info I needed to know that I will NOT attempt this on my S7. I have a crack in the glass but it's at the very bottom of the screen and touch + LCD is working 100% and the crack is below the display except for a barely noticeable thin curved line just above the button at the bottom. I'll get a good protective shell since I don't notice the crack beyond being annoyed knowing it's there. ;)
    A new replacement front part (LCD etc.) is more expensive than getting a flawless second hand S7 anyway..

      Achim Gazelle strong sunlight works to cure the LOCA, tho not recommended,you can use isopropyl alcohol (99%) to remove the old LOCA, and heating it up requires more heat than a hair dryer. for my tablet, which I did the exact same thing with, it cost me about 80 dollars for all the materials in the project. A lot less than having Samsung replace the LCD and glass unit.

    I think the secret is to strip off the broken glass first. If you can manage to do this without breaking the lcd you are better than me. I got to the home button before lifting too hard...BANG. My head hitting the table.

    The screen won't survive the excess glue. This display will likely develop blacking as the processor heats up. Using the glue is always risky, unless if its factory manufactured by robots. If the phones already broken and you managed to separate the digitizer and lcd , just use adhesive tapes to stick.

      P Dhavale adhesive tape is a bandage to the problem, LOCA glue, although tougher to apply, is a bit more permanent of a solution

    Thanks. I have a good working s7 but it fell and now it's dented at the volume control which is now stuck. I already have a midframe. Now I know how to separate the screen from the frame.
    What are you using for sticking between the screen and frame? Credit cards?

    I do not understand. I cannot pry open the whole screen at 7:00 without completely destroying the lcd until it's all black.
