Either drop it off somewhere or buy new. If you don't care about the phone continuing to be waterproof you can skip the glue back procedures.

I have a crack in the glass but it's at the very bottom of the screen and touch + LCD is working 100% and the crack is below the display except for a barely noticeable thin curved line just above the button at the bottom. I'll get a good protective shell since I don't notice the crack beyond being annoyed knowing it's there. ;) A new replacement front part (LCD etc.) is more expensive than getting a flawless second hand S7 anyway..

Achim Gazelle strong sunlight works to cure the LOCA, tho not recommended,you can use isopropyl alcohol (99%) to remove the old LOCA, and heating it up requires more heat than a hair dryer. for my tablet, which I did the exact same thing with, it cost me about 80 dollars for all the materials in the project. A lot less than having Samsung replace the LCD and glass unit.

I'd notice that he don't have any ESD protection, that can cause damage the components in timing if he have electrical charges in his body. But it's really nice that somebody know how to do it, good job!

the real question is that if you just want to remove the upper glass of the screen then why did you open the whole set? it could be done even without opening the whole mobile

The screen won't survive the excess glue. This display will likely develop blacking as the processor heats up. Using the glue is always risky, unless if its factory manufactured by robots. If the phones already broken and you managed to separate the digitizer and lcd , just use adhesive tapes to stick.
Thanks. I have a good working s7 but it fell and now it's dented at the volume control which is now stuck. I already have a midframe. Now I know how to separate the screen from the frame. What are you using for sticking between the screen and frame? Credit cards?

And you're right...I was going by the last time I lost my phone, which was many years ago and only had to pay $50. Nowadays, with a high end phone, the deductibles would be $150 or more!
yours is an incredibly difficult task, to remove the OLED panel and the touch digitizer, I would not recommend it as it's even harder than what's demonstrated in this video, to my understanding anyway.. hope you already have a replacement or repair done!

And heating up the old LOCA and rolling it off with a finger actually works surprisingly well.

Glue needed is called Loca glue. You need the blue UV light to activate or cure the glue. 10 minutes of UV light exposure is needed.

Very nicely done, though this seems like a project that someone with experience in electronic circuits would take on.
They all kinda snap together, the only way you can fuck this up is by breaking your parts which is a huge possibility

Using a freezer to separate the glass from the LCD is a lot easier. The glass cracks when its frozen making it easier to separate

P Dhavale adhesive tape is a bandage to the problem, LOCA glue, although tougher to apply, is a bit more permanent of a solution
