      Also keep in mind how he does the hardest part pushing down and not lifting up. He works smart too knows to finish at the bottom so he doesn't have to stretch the tire lifting up but rather pushing down with his body weight

      I'm half that size and I knock those out in the same time but its not as smooth lol. That being said, I know how hard of job he has. I just hope they pay him well bc he's doing what a lot of ppl can't.

    I'm a trucker and I can tell you these guys keep us rolling, ive seen them replace tires in really hot weather and all sorts of winter weather...the speed of some of them is amazing...I'm just glad they're willing to do this job day, night, and in all sorts of weather. I always thank them for coming out or if at a shop the same.

    As a retired tire tech, it's just cool to see this guy getting all this appreciation for what he does. It's a fun job. It's really not as hard as it looks, those 3' tire spoons do most of the work but it's still hard work and worthy of praise as he keeps the equally as hard working truck drivers on the road.

      It was a fun job that unfortunately pays very little for the work. It’s all about technique and his is better than mine was, I had to cheat with vise grips, but sometimes when a customer wants the cheap chinese tires that rubber fights you like hell.

    I driver semis. These Tire/Road Service guys are the BEST ! I was always amazed at how fast they could change a tire & get me rolling again. My hat is off to every one of them.
    Not to mention the guy that changed my 'air brake can' at Akron OH in 5F° in 6" of snow with the guardrail blocking that side (access) to the under-carriage. Cheerful attitude the entire time. 😊 Amazing ! ! ! He said, "I thought about towing you to the shop but decided I could change the 'can' easier than we could get you hooked/towed and to the shop." Many thanks to World Truck, Akron OH ! 😊

    He is obviously a very strong individual but he is cautious and patient which makes it go fast cuz he knows what he is gonna do next but he is not rushing it .       The only edit he did was to get rid of the downtime when he rolled the old tire away and came back with the new one. Other than that that is about an average amount of time for him to do that sort of work the longest part is always airing the new tire up I've done that sort of work for 20 years and I respect that man because it is a very hard job.

    As a guy who used to call these mobile tire guys out into the oilfield all the time to fix tires on our construction equipment…. My hat is off to these guys! They work nonstop around the clock keeping us moving.

      Never do that for just the rubber onto the rim but if you do these tires I’m sure you already do that when putting a full wheel back over the hub, need to rotate the pry bar as you lift it a little to line up the holes with the lug nuts. And make sure your air hoses are in the right spot.

    All these people posting how amazing this is... I was a truck driver for 6 years during that time I learned how to change truck tires and did it myself many times. It does take a lot of strength but nothing outrageous. This guy is a good worker and strong and I respect him for it but he's hardly unique.

    I used to do this work for 20 years, and yes it can be really hard work, this fitter is super good, when I did a breakdown I found all the truckers great people.

      Actually he's doing a lot more than necessary.
      At the end of the day he's worn out. He doesn't have to use all the motions to do the job. Job can be done with a pair of vise grips to make it easier.

    I changed tires for 15 years and know that he wasn't in a hurry! As smooth as he was working he could double his speed if he wanted to. At that speed he could change a lot of tires in a day and never get tired

    I've a friend who works in a workshop like this ( changing and repairing Big Rigs tyres) and i tell you this, it's a Brutal job.
    He told me that the baddest day he had at work was when 37 big ones were changed.
    Man,just to see my friend changing a single tyre ( Big One) my whole body starts to ache in agony.b

    The bead is the same all the way around. Top and bottom depends on where you start. Old mate started at the bottom and worked anti clockwise. Some commenters didn't approve. I like what he did, cos it makes no difference.

      My Cousin own a Truck Company doing Long-distance in South Africa and Africa. He taught all his struck drivers to change their own tyres, because it speed up work, rather than getting others to come and do it for them. He also train them as as mechanics. It helped a lot, goiing into Rural Africa.

    I'm a tire technician and people should be marveling at this. Commercial and passenger are vastly different but this is a master. A good installer can do this in about 2 minutes once the vehicle is lifted.

      Isn't there an OSHA requirement that tires be inflated in a cage or with a clamp on device plus a clamp on air chuck? It's been 26 years since I changed a tire, but we were never trained to change tires that way.

      Those tires can weigh in excess of 175 lb he was installing one a little smaller though I would say around 145 lbs still guys got some good energy throwing that much weight around

      All of the bs comments here over exaggerate the weight of this tire. This tire is only about 125lbs. They get heavier and some are lighter.
      This is an 11r22.5 (common for many dump trucks).
      Either 14 or 16 ply.

    that dude is a straight up hulk. the way he just casually one hand flipped that tire up with the lever he made. those tires can weigh up to 250 pounds without the rim, and he just casually flips it up like its 25 pounds.
    then the part where hes bending the tire to fit it into place requires a great deal of strength, and once again hes over there one handing it like its light work.
