I thought the bird with stilts was supposed to be a plague doctor, and the rat was what carried the plague, and I made the connection that disease=doctor but I guess the actual justification made a little sense

I thought that too when the plague mask popped up again on the desert train vision
Yeah... I thought that and was checking if anyone else noticed that... It could also be that the bird represents the mask=doctor, and the rat is dressed up representing that the doctor is a rat, as he murdered her

I thought she picked animals to indicate a vet (aka animal doctor). So many people in the comments picked doctor for the wrong reasons!
Anytime the editor put the question marks next to anything that BDG said, it made me laugh so hard. He says just the most nonsensical things with the most confidence.

Lmao, the thing about Mysterium is, the ghost usually has less time to think about each card (because they have to hand out cards to EVERYONE while each player only has to focus on a few), so the mediums usually read way further into it than the ghost does. I'm almost always the ghost, and one of the worst games I've played was with a table full of English majors. They analyzed every square centimeter. It took all night. They did not win.
They owe you a 6 pack for being subjected to all their outlandish claims when they should have just gone with their gut instinct.

I thought bird man on stills was because of the old doctor plague masks that look like birds and the rat was for disease and pestilence. Which apparently was unintentional but it got me to the right answer anyway?
I played this last night with my family, and it was a riot. Every single one of us had thematic person-place-weapon sets. I was done by the third hour.
The best part? The murderer was a nun, who killed the person with a damn ouija board.

This absolutely made my night and my life and yes. Thank you it was wonderful (although not allowing Simone to speak is, I would argue, cruel and unusual but it did mean we got extra expressions!). Anyway. I really want to play this game now!

I know everyone is doing the D&D podcast thing, but I would love nothing more than to see or hear a team of Polygons playing a tabletop rpg. Even just a one shot or a short campaign.

"A driver's worst enemy is stilts" - Stilts are a rival form of transportation to cars.
Watching Simone not being allowed to talk for 30 minutes was a torturous experience. I guess I'll just binge watch SEO play now.

I thought this was a great game and I'm so happy to see the polygon crew back at it again. I wish Simone could explain why she gave Pat those clues for his murder weapon though. I mean they were so nautical themed!
SO: The door with the horseshoe and the boat. The horseshoe was CURVED and made of METAL. Just like a STRAIGHT RAZOR. The Dreamworks Moon and the Umbrella... the MOON was curved and shiny and sharp. LIKE A STRAIGHT RAZOR.
Everyone gave me a solid minute of shit when I told them because STRAIGHT RAZORS are STRAIGHT but the way the razor was half-open on the card made it look like a crescent so who is the fool now!!!!!!!!!! Patrick!!!!!!!!

When I play the ghost often talks just not to give hints during it, normally for just Yes and No and explaining after you get it right

I played this game with a bunch of strangers and my ten year old daughter at a coffee shop one night. It's fun!
I watched this immediately after One Night Ultimate Werewolf and it felt like I'd been conditioned to distrust everything Brian said. That made the first couple of minutes very interesting.

I love playing this game, previously whenever I've been ghost I've been reaching over to do all the movements for correct/false stuff, but I love the knocking concept and letting the players do it.
The only downside to this game is it takes quite a while to set up with the multiple pieces and card decks so it tends to put off groups from playing it.

Oh my god, I have seen so many different board games being played on so many different channels and this is the first one that I had actually played beforehand. Me and my family used to play this all the time during the pandemic, after we got bored of clue. That makes me weirdly happy honestly
