- George Challita with Baba Wholesale in Tampa produces and distributes thousands of pounds of synthetic marijuana and sells it to convenience stores and gas stations around the Tampa Bay Area.
I like what he said about growing up in Lebanon, where alcohol and cigarettes were readily available to children, and he didn't smoke or drink. I'm willing to bet most of those kids didn't. Why? Because it was legal, having it legal made it so that there was no hype about doing it. Making these substances illegal just glorifies them. When I was a child I always wondered what weed was like, because it was so demonized, I never thought twice about cigarettes and alcohol because they are legal.
Legal and regulated is better than wasting police resources on persuing vicitimless crimes.

@@unrelentingawesomeness7501 Synthetic Marijuana can be used as potpourri because thats all it truly is is potpourri laced with synthetic THC so it still functions the same if you open the bag and let the smell fill the room, But then again you can also smoke it for a devil's high which is the problem.

Even if it's legal, to sell this shit to anyone is fucking ruthless. Obviously the only reason people buy this is to consume it.
There's some who are clueless and use it as potpourri which it is more than capable of functioning that way and often has a nice earthy smell from my experience, but the vast majority are using it as a drug.

Bleach actually has directions for correct intended use as well as health advisories and emergency related information. Herbel incense packaging does read "not for human consumption" but it remains a product sold next to rolling papers and pipes with marijuana related depictions/entitlements. I'm pretty sure more kids smoke spice than drink bleach these days as well. Just a thought.
Huffing gas, paint thinner, sniffing glue etc... is also dangerous and can kill you as well. But I can't seem to find interviews where they hunt down those manufacturers or distributors and tell them they're killing kids.

Synthetic cannabis is the reason why i'm facing all of my problems. But i'm standing up for this guy. He makes the product. It's not his job to make sure it stays out of the hands of children. That's the parents job. as well as the government and the people at the stores actually selling the product. this stuff is something you have to be responsible with just like alcohol and any other drug out there.

If you smoke it stop now. I was hooked on it for 2 years. It really messed me up in the head. I had problems processing sentences and would constantly stutter. Finally I was arrested with it and faced felony charges. Thankfully it was worked down to a misdemeanor and if I complete my probation will be gone from my record. Take it from me its not worth it. It will ruin your life.

Sure theres people out there who may be aware of the danger and do it anyway that should take responsibility. But theres plenty of people who arent/werent aware of the dangers and the marketing for it is very misleading being put next to smoking items in convenience stores and made with flashy prints designed to attract young people, ect.
But if someones manufacturing a product thats killing and seriously harming people they should also take responsibility and stop producing it rather than uphold an idiotic justification like "well anything can kill someone so ill continue to make something thats killing people".

This video is amazing to me. We have a journalist, clearly not neutral like they are supposed to be, hammering this guy who is doing nothing illegal nor immoral. I have smoked "synthetic marijuana" and I know 100s who have also. None of us got sick. It's my theory that the kids going to the emergency room or allegedly dying are "wigging out" cause they never been high before and don't know the effects or got a bad batch.

The news reporter can't blame this guy for kids going to the emergency room. You have to be 18+ to purchase this stuff, so if anything blame the teen or adult they're getting it from. I was addicted to synthetic marijuana for months, I was 19 and 20 now. I had nobody to blame but myself. And it was up to me to quit, too. Nobody else. If it becomes an issue for people and they have no will-power or mindset to stop, then put them in rehab. But nobody is to blame but the individual.

To anybody consider using this stuff I'll be straight up with you here. This stuff hits the exact same receptors as marijuana does (CB1/CB2) but to put it simply there is no limit to how high you can get like there is with marijuana. This is where the "bad trip" stories come from. People who have overdosed. These things are untested and their safety profile is unknown. Please use with caution. Experimentation is most likely harmless for you curious cats out there.

I don't think this guy is doing anything particularly wrong even if I wouldn't ever consume his products and would actively discourage anyone else from using his products. If you could legally sell synthetic cannabinoids for consumption his product would be substantially safer as they could say the quantity of drug (and what rc) they laced into the herb blend. Recreational synthetic cannabinoids are much more dangerous than regular pot, but it's just another drug. The real problem here is the consumer of synthetic cannabinoids are taking an unknown dose of an ever changing synthetic cannabinoid lead to overdosing.

REPORTER GOT FUCKING OWNED. I've seen spice packets, there's a million warnings. Literally saying "If ingested in any way, please contact doctor immediately". It's these kids' choices to do that shit. On the other hand, weed should be legalized nationwide and worldwide so that people don't do spice which is bad... but everything in moderation can be good.
I guess what you smoked was far from high end blends. With so many different pseudo cannabis chemicals it's ignorant of you to generalise it like you did. I smoked it on and off for 3 years, I stopped when it became too difficult to manage. The psychological pull of it is ridiculous - not to mention the tolerance that builds so quickly, or the high that lasts for as short as 10 minutes with tolerance. No one is pointing a gun against tobacco smokers or drinkers either.

Despite the biased reporting the fact is that slow as it is; the government is banning one chemical or analog after another. As they do this the manufacturers of the products have to look further and further afield in their search for a non banned chemical. Since most dont give a damn for the end users of their products the situation is going to become ever more dangerous. This would barely exist as a problem if the governments had a sane policy on real weed.
