Can I Build a GAMING PC With No Experience?

- I finally had an excuse to upgrade and I am so happy. I'm convinced that I made so many mistakes when building it and honestly, I'm surprised that it's still working. Oh yeah, I'm not American so to you American viewers the price might not make sense. It's around $2100 USD in total for all of my parts. Also yes, I did enable XMP in the BIOS.
I'm unsure about some of my chosen parts such as the GPU but it's a huge step up for me so I'm happy. The RTX 4070 is waaaay faster than that dumb laptop I was using.
Thank heavens for pcpartpicker. Honestly such a carry.

Did I do better than the Verge?
yes
also how is ur channel so small
yed
How do u get so much moneeeyyyy
HELL YEAH
Cpu overkill, noctua fans overkill, gpu underkill. I’m a hard AMD stan so i currently use the 6950xt and 7600x.
I’d recommend watching pc builder for price / performance comparisons for cpu and gpu, along with videos about common pc building traps people fall for.
I enjoyed the style of the video though, short and sweet. :)
@@joshuaholmes6817 yeah ig it’s just a question of how you feel about DLSS. Definitely both have their strong suits
@@joshuaholmes6817 CLUELESS. DLSS can not and never is comparable to native resolution.
Do you know if the Amd stealth cooler will cool my r5 7600 fine?
bottleneck combo
Dont forget to go in the BIOS and activate XMP so that your RAM can run at max speed and not standard
It's not an Intel build 💀
if you ever feel stupid come to this comment..
@@jokovaldo4090 still need to enable xmp on and AMD build, ram doesn't automatically set itself to the speeds it's supposed to be at
@@Byzkityeah but on amd I think it's called DOCP or something like that
@@ItsJustTech not from at I remember, I'm sure it says xmp. But I could be wrong though
Thank you for getting straight to the point. Loved the video and will most definitely use this in the future
For a first time builder you did really well. Better than some more experienced builders I've seen. The only real thing I cringed at was how much thermal paste you put on but that realistically wont change the final outcome. Good job!
Better to apply a little to much. Or in his case a lot to much 😂😂 then too little. Any excess should be pushed away anyways by the cooler which sadly will make a mess. Make sure ur thermal paste is non conductive
@@elitepauper7400 I'm not even sure if you can still buy conductive thermal paste.... maybe if you buy liquid metal 😂?
There is no pins on the 7000 series AMD CPUs (the pins are now on the motherboard's socket so don't touch those)... They have pads at the bottom, so it's not as big of a deal to handle. Sure, it's best that you don't get those pads dirty but you don't have to worry about damaging them.
He was probably joking
for some reason i dont think so
@@clenx05
he literally says no experience@@clenx05
@@clenx05I doubt since he had no knowledge
I’m about to go through the same process shortly!! Just ordered all my parts last night!! Super excited but nervous as hell about it!!
dont worry if you use a youtube video and have some general knowledge about pc building it should bne easy enough, i was nervous at the start when i built my pc but it came out so good and succesfull
same here, nervous af
Glad to see your work. Well done 👍🇪🇸
quality video, looking forward for more from you :D
Just looked again and saw that your mobo's bios is F3 and I would highly recommend that you update your bios to the newest version (especially if you want to overclock). some of the older bios on mobos can unintentionally overvolt the AMD 7000 cpus when overclocking and damage them. Better to be safe than sorry.
1000 sub bro!
Will and Mistake , got me :) keep up the funny content
1:05
Cores are like workers and threads are amount of tasks that they all together can do at the same time.
1:10
This CPU doesn't have pins, they are on the motherboard. You shouldn't be touching connectors either way, because dirt.
1:34
You could've gone for 5600Mhz Cl28, which is like 6000mhz and basic CL. But it doesn't matter that much. It's just more optimal, because lower latency.
1:43
This is due to how data is transferred from CPU to RAM. If there are 2 or 4 slots, there are 2 channels, you want to populate both channels. Splitting tasks is always better. Then it's A2 and B2 instead of A1 and B1 because that's where the end point for data transfer is. Not a huge difference if you put it in A1 and B1, but why not have a little extra performance for free when you can?
2:30
Damn right it is. Although personally I would've gone for something like Peerless Assassin 120, which is 40-50$, it would be more than enough to cool a 65W CPU that 7900 is.
2:37
There are more, Intel has a lot of different ones, AMD not that many. And you can always ask Noctua to send you some of you're missing them.
3:00
It's fi-i-ine
3:12
Yes, that's by design
3:45
I'd put cables in first, it's just easier that way, but with how that PSU is oriented, ig it doesn't matter
3:27
Usually you'd put IO shield first onto the case, not a mistake in any way, depends on motherboard
3:57
Wouldn't call it a mistake, depends on the price. Nvidia makes sense for creators, otherwise I'd go AMD.
4:08
Don't you have a hole where the top bracket is? Put it back
Cable management is kinda non-existent. But hell yeah, you did way way way better than Verge. Gj
I would say that be quiet has some of the best cpu air coolers, but just about all dual tower designs work pretty well.
but still, Noctua is best at air cooling and 7900 is not 65 watts, It's 170 watts! And it's silent. Especially at benchmarks and at ultra settings on a game.
@@loffersuffer Are you perhaps confusing 7900 with 7900x?
Because 7900x draws 170W, whilst 7900 non-x just 65W
the motherboard had an IO shield built in. also he didnt say the 4070 was a mistake because its NVIDIA, its a mistake because its a shitty gpu for the price.
@@bearfm About mobo: Yes, hence "depends on the motherboard" part
About GPUs: 4070s price often makes sense, depending on where you live. AMD/Nvidia part was just an additional info, didn't mean for it to come off that way.
Good vid, you did a lot better than i did on my first build
Great video. The Costco socks make it especially relatable.
yo your underrated i just subbed hope you get bigger
Bro this is so good❤
that higher fan from RAM is new idea from u.. thanks even if u dont have experience yet i learned something from u
you just earned a sub man this nshould be vbiral keep it u[p
So glad this vid popped up since my PC build will be almost identical!
This video is so well made
this was funny. not a bad selection of parts my guy.
for a first vid this is perfect omg
Nice video bro👍
good video buddy :)
This was funny 🤣
and yes WAY~~ better than the Verge
bros underrated, here before 500 subs
As a first time builder, I can relate for that post. Was also happy when I first saw the screen
this guy is the next best upcoming tech youtuber. hope you succeed Sebee
You did really well, first time when i built my pc i fucked up with the case power cables i got hella scared but i just rechecked and found the issue now ive built 10+ pcs (i built pcs for family members and friends) soon imma build a new gaming pc and im hella excited because my first pc was a entry gaming pc now imma go fully decked out with my second pc XD
this channel is so underrated
love how he talks about not breaking pins even tho their are none XD, and the way he throws the gpu box in the beginning XD< great build btw
Jesus first video and this high quality? damn i wish i had the patience for this
Only thing I'd probably done was put the PSU wiring first, but overall it looked good. Quality content btw.
love this
Good video 👍
most def subbing
Remember to enable XMP in the BIOS to get the most out of your RAM. In newer AMD CPUs it’s called DOCP or EXPO and in previous models it was XMP, but they all do the same thing.
How tf is your channel so small!?! You truly deserve more subs!
because this is his only video yet
Yooo This Gonna Be Me Someday
And Yeah Taxes Hit Hard lol
Nice Video fr
for a first build reallyy good man, Id recommend getting an aio if you decide to play some demanding games
love how u held tha cpu on the side even doe there are no pins on it
Bro you deserve way more subscribers, also remember me when famous
This is a fun video!
1:46 if u want to know about why the ram go in the 2 4 slot, it’s because normal slotting aka 1 and 2 can only go up to one stick of rams speed but when u put it in 2 and 4 it makes dual channel witch means it can go up to double the speed
Not bad for your first video bro. Next run some games really intensive games with RTX so we can see the performance
how do you only have 350 subs you deserve at least 200k
That pc with that monitor/tv thing brooo
bro this is very high quality content if you keep on making vids like this you will eventually get a big fanbase
great vid
underrated
Good job on the pc u built! farr better than The Verge
NEEDS MORE SUBSCRIBERSS
Congrats man! I just built a pc recently too. :)
It goes into slots 2 and 4 for 2 reasons. The first is because it is a dual channel system. channel 1 is slots 1 & 2, while channel 2 is slots 3 & 4. So as long as you put 1 in each channel you should be good.
The reason you use slots 2 & 4 instead of slots 1 & 3 is because the traces (copper that connects stuff together, in this case the RAM and CPU) for each channel pass thru slots 1, then 2, and for the second channel slots 3 then 4. You want the end of each trace to have a RAM stick, otherwise the ends of each trace will terminate to nothing, thus making them susceptible to picking up interference as it acts like an antenna. This can theoretically prevent you from running your RAM at higher speeds, although its unlikely. Still, its best not to risk making your system slightly more unstable.
lets goo im ur 100th subscriber
Hey im also gonna be using the 4000d airflow for my first build
My friend taught me how to build my first computer over the telephone before cellphones were the norm, he was sitting in his car in a snow storm with his car heater on..But that 3 hour phone call taught me skills I would carry with me for the rest of my life. *If you can put legos together you can build a PC, so dont ever think this is too hard anyone can do it with the right amount of confidence.* Look into PC building simulator, if a phone call was enough to teach me how to understand building after one phone call then this app will help any future enjoyers of PC building, good luck future buiilding Andys 👓
Dawg that was soo much thermal paste lmao but good video subscribed :) I just built a pc we have everything same but the cpu and motherboard i went with the 7800X3D
that pendrive is sick
your humor is funny
I bought the Corsair Premium Build Kit back in August, which I got on sale for $3,299.99. $3,572.24 with tax. I also purchased a Thermalright bracket for my CPU and 3 additional RGB fans to install on the side of the 5000D Airflow case. Changed out the original Nividia RTX 4090 power adapter for a Corsair 600-watt 16-pin power cable and added a Corsair GPU anti-sag bracket.
this channel need more view and subs
nice work, however just so you know, since your CPU has reversed pins and is known for being incredibly resilient, you can be less careful with it. Although your SSD say I have a heatsink, always put it back on and apply thermal paste to the integrated mother board heatsink. really good GPU installation even though it's not the best of options. Your RAM can cause pingbacks and distort things that use your random access memory if in 1 and 3rd channel it in fact does not double your speed.
1:10 there are no pins on the CPU, since the gen7000 of ryzen, the pins are in the motherboard so no problem if you touch it with clean hands and ensure you left nothing on those metal contacts
Yea he thaught hes handling a PGA cpu :D
Impressive, young Padawan.

You did good, but instead of installing Windows right away I would check your bios version. If your bios version is outdated it's a good idea to update it as it could come with fixes for certain issues, after updating I recommend turning on DOCP (AMD) or XMP (Intel) as it allows you to reach the rams advertised MT/s. Then I would get Windows.
It shocks me how similar the parts you used for this build were to mine that I just finished yesterday.
What was your preference for different PC parts ?
Like I'm really confused right now, whether I should go for DDR5 or DDR4 build ?
the thermal paste killed me.
Very fancy pc
Very impressive
as someone w/o experience 1st time building, i forgot to remove the tape from the bottom of CPU tower cooler, placing HDD on where the ssd mounted vertically were, and i forgot to plug the gpu power cable.
Cmon…. This is seriously underrated 😢
I really enjoyed this video.
Sorry to sound like im hating, but Im pretty sure you over spent on a lot of the Components. If you would like I could post a pc part pickers list.
Quality parts cost money. Only overkill I really see is the CPU. Not all parts are created equal.
No bro 4070 over price and cpu overkill should have gone with a 3080 ti or a 7900xt less for better performance
Wowzers
how tf do you only have 11 subs you should have wayyy more
You can touch the bottom of a LGA cpu there are no pins on the cpu itself. I wouldn’t recommend it but it would not harm the CPU to do a couple times. All the pins are in the CPU socket on the MOBO
It should be noted that the packaging is not just a plastic bag but an anti-static bag that you should have laid your mobo on
not gonna lie it took me 2 nearly 3 days to put my pc together because i got a case to small for everything haha buuut i managed to fit minus to hanging out hardrive shhh. posted and load great
Sick
bros literally me i gonna get a pc at december and i have no experience with it like you do.
Underrated lol😂
labtop-it sucks, its slow and it sucks quote of the day
If you got the Samsung 980 pro, you might want to make sure your SSD drivers are updated, these SSD’s are good but on certain versions of the 980’s drivers, they can have catastrophic failures that prevent you from accessing files, this is worse if it’s your boot drive since your copy of windows will be borked, if you have version 5B2QGXA7 you’re safe, if not then update immediately
So great 😂
Hey Sebee I just built my pc and I got the same post screen as you but what did u do next I figure out what to do
Nice video. But bro you have to get a better monitor, i think😅
Holy shit, this guy built his rig for the first time better than I did when I was 17.
actually really good, but FYI there are no pins on the cpu, your pc has the pins on the board. the things on the cpu are pads.
That air cooler is absolutely beefy, physically. When you're gonna add more ram sticks I'd imagine you'd need to find a way or replace it with an AIO cooler/Smaller Factor Form Air cooler.
1:08 the pins for the am5 generation are actually on the motherboard not the cpu this time!
why did bro buy an nhd15 for a 7900 💀💀💀 its a 65w cpu
I'm pretty sure for am5 cpus it doesn't matter about touching pins on the cpus because the pins are actually on the motherboards now
Sebee is already reserved name dude...
bro is led phobic
dude im your 999th sub)
I think those videos are always interesting. I just think you made one big error. You used userbenchmark. Otherwise, everything else already got said and nice video
you should've slightly chosen a lower model of cpu and add a liquide cooler for aesthetic and i guess performance
nice one son
