I second the snow, it always goes on opaque white unless it does the oil spot effect so probably test just one mug first to make sure it doesn't do that over the other white glaze.

Thanks for sharing Send Todd to the sales .I do a sale once a week through the summer everything just stays packed but unloaded from the car. Just load it back up Friday night. Lisa from wild acorn you tube has an old horse trailer she converted into a mobil pottery show room. We are just coming out of the deep freeze and its snowing again.
Good to see you guys again! Opaque is not see through. Transparent is totally see through, translucent is partially see through. Love the red wine and river birch. Clayscapes Cream is a good white glaze, but is reactive with other glazes and also contains little flecks of brown, kind of like vanilla bean flecks. Coyote has reliable white liners, both gloss and matte, that come powdered. We had a similar disastrous painting experience in our first apartment. The cheap paint looked like baby poop! LOL, Love the "I'll remember what I did" I'm also guilty of that, multiple times! I hope the postal strike isn't affecting you too much. Random thought, I just noticed you two have matching glasses!
Thank you, I tried using honey flux and river birch over the disaster mug but if that doesn’t work I will give one of them a try! Our glasses are similar, not intentional 😂
Pieces look great, you two! Such adorable decals! Interesting about that red brick engobe. I hate to suggest a completely different glaze, but Colonial White by Laguna. They may have changed the name to white gloss! Great coverage and a beautiful white but I only used it on coffee clay. I will try a test. I have the sample size of the red brick. I’m trying the Engobe technique you use. Do you also apply it to the bottom of the pot? Is there an issue with it rubbing off if scoured? I had to sand a bottom and it ground off leaving bare clay on the foot.

I use Coyote Enduro white liner glazes. Glossy or satin options. Makes a fabulous liner or just use as a white. It is opaque ( cannot see through).

My coyote white liner is still translucent (see through). Maybe try Amaco snow? I think it comes in dry.

I do apply it to the bottom and then we only use a very fine sand paper to smooth it!
