David. If only the client and his family watch this video it will have been worth doing it, as they can see the love and care you have put into bringing this chair back to life in memory of his brother. And it can also be used to show to younger members of the family to explain where these chairs fit into their family’s history. Another fantastic restoration xx
Patience, skill, imagination, artistic flair. The chair is perfect but I would not expect anything less from you. I hope the joy he has when you deliver the chair will go at least a little way to alleviate his grief. On a lighter note, please thank the gorgeous Daisy for her contribution. As always she made me smile. I wish you and your family a 2024 filled with love, joy and laughter. Oh, and many more vlogs!!!!!!!!!!!
Just beautiful! I’m so sorry for your client’s loss. I hope this helps heal the grief. Well done, and I’m definitely going back to find the previous work. 💖
Personally, I like hearing the back story of a piece that is getting restored. It's such a sad story. My prayers are going out to your customer and family. You did a great job bringing this beauty back to its previous beauty. God bless you and your family!
David Daisy is so adorable. Sorry to hear about your clients brother. You did a amazing job it's absolutely gorgeous. Well done in the brothers memory.
Please don't feel it is somehow inappropriate to explain about your pieces. Actually it was very good of you to explain the reasons behind this refurb. I think the work was brilliant. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for letting us into your life and of your clients. Doing so makes me appreciate the love and intention of your labors. ❤ I look forward to each and every project you take on.
It's very sad how he ended up with both chairs 😭 but at least it's someone that will take care of them. 😢💔 Your restoration is stunning 🥰 It's great that he had you he could trust with them. ❤️ Another job well done!
Wow David..Im sure the client will be happy! And hey, we love it when you come on to explain a piece or whatever. .just to gab with us is nice too! Cuddles and more cuddles to Daisy! Boy does she know where her corks are! Cant fool her..lol
You never have to justify what you do, David. Your pieces always turn out beautifully! I actually enjoy hearing the backstory of some pieces. My condolences to your client. Just keep on doing what you're doing, because it's amazing to watch!
He has a beautiful reminder of his grandmother and his brother. I am so in love with that fabric! I have a little dog that insists on having treats tossed for him to go get. It's a new thing he started this year.
Upholster or not the corners are perfect. Beautiful job on the chair. I love your creative way of bending the brass pieces. I learn something from you every time I watch a video.
How what a sad story about your clients brother. My heart breaks for his loss 😢. How beautifully you’ve restore his brothers chair. Very nice. Hello to your sweet lil Daisy ❤️🇺🇸
Absolutely beautiful. If ever a piece deserved to be restored it's this piece, not only for its sentimental value, but for its decorative value as well. A pair of these chairs at a small table or against a wall will look just lovely. You did a fantastic job all the way round, but particularly with the brass inlay.
Thanks for the explanation. I thought the chair looked familiar. Very sad how your client acquired it. It will mean a lot to him and his family now for many more years to come. Well done you. 😊
Thank you for the video of a very special restoration of a family heirloom . Beautiful job as always of keeping grandparents and brother together in the restoration of the chair.
I’d love to hear more about the history of the pieces you restore, that is, when was it built, what era, and so on. I live in the States where nothing is more than 50 years old, lol. Amazes me when there’s a piece of furniture that is 100 or 150 years old.
Thank you for taking the time to share the story about this chair. So sad, but so heartwarming that the owner will now have both pieces to honor his grandmother and brother. They both turned out beautiful. You did an awesome job, as always.
Beautiful work, as always. While the background that led to this restoration is, indeed, very sad, I'm certain that your customer now can cherish the memory of his brother in a much more positive way. You are a wonderful restorer, and I suppose, one of the prerequisites for doing this kind of work, apart from a great love for it, is a good amount of ingenuity when it comes to solving New situations, such as with bending those brass inlays ... and a willingness to possibly suffer burns on your fingers 😉 Wishing you all the best for 2024, great health and happiness and continued success in everything you endeavor! Greetings from Germany ❤ Oh, and Daisy? She's hilarious! Such a great dog!
I do remember that fabric from a chair project you did previously; I think you also used it on a sewing cabinet/chest. This client must have an exquisite home with these pieces. You've got a great eye for centering and placing the pattern on the chair, too. I wondered how you'd curve the brass inlay, but never thought about heating it. The sound of rain in your workshop is so soothing. In my state of Oklahoma, we have either rain with tornadoes and hail, or just full drought. I envy you the steady rains that the UK seems to have. Daisy made her wiggly appearance with a cork, which makes all of us smile. She's a dear doggie. Thanks for another visit to your shop, and cheers from Oklahoma!!!
That’s a beautiful restoration showing your skill and knowledge….and patience. Your client is lucky to have found you. And thanks for including sassy Daisy for her fans-like me. 🥰 BTW- this is my favorite restoration channel!!
I appreciated your explanation at the beginning of this video. The design of the chair didn’t look familiar until you were bending and installing the brass inlay. Your makeshift anvil worked pretty well. I never would have thought of that solution.
I loved your beginning explanation! I hope you do them more often. It’s more of a personable experience than just hearing a voice over, even though I like your voice overs. Always a pleasure to watch.
It's a neat chair. I like old furniture. My grandmother had a bunch of old pieces of furniture of all types in her house. This story brings back some memories.
Great video! Sorry for the loss of your customer's brother. It'd be nice to see a picture of both chairs together - you really did a great job to honour the brother and the grandmother❤
Condolences to your client. This will be such a heartwarming reminder of their brother. Maybe imagining him sitting in it. It's a beautiful chair and you have done it justice. Great work. Hello from the south of France.
I remember the first one. Sad he had to get the second one the way he did. I love getting back stories! Thank you for sharing! This one will be beautiful also.
Truly a splendid chair! 😍Congratulations, especially for the brass profile: a very professional job! 🥇🥇🥇The fabric you chose is perfect too! The customer will be very happy. I wish you a wonderful 2024, to you and all your loved ones! 🥂🍾As always, a caress to Daisy!❤️
I remember the first piece you did and I commented as to why you didn’t paint those areas all the way and you kindly explained that it was brass not paint. This piece turned out just as beautiful as the first. Great job

David. If only the client and his family watch this video it will have been worth doing it, as they can see the love and care you have put into bringing this chair back to life in memory of his brother.
