Actually Henry's 4th wife Anne of Cleves survived him. He divorced her and she was considered his "sister" after that and lived quite comfortably until she died after Henry.
Both Jude and Alicia are superb in this film. Jude is terrifying and so true to what I imagine Henry was, and Alicia as an intelligent abused woman who must stay composed at all cost were spot on. Even historical inaccuracies do not matter, frankly. It depicted the Court, Henry the beast and women’s condition at the time extremely well. A must watch.
Catherine Parr for myself was the most compelling wife . Highly intelligent brought Elizabeth back to succession & challenged Henry a King she didn’t want to marry
She didn't "bring Elizabeth back to succession", but it happened during her tenure as Queen. Henry was the one who decided to reinstate both his "bastard" daughters to the succession.
Alicia blew me away with the Danish Girl. She is so underrated, sweet and humble, unlike so many young women in that industry now... Just look at her outfits, so elegant and classy and sweet.
Totally agree; I love her, she's very underrated and she's so good in her roles. I love that she thinks enough about herself, to not get into the "hollywood'" way of dressing; she's always classy and well dressed. You're right, she's elegant and sweet, just a nice person. (from Sandi)
Kathryn Parr wasn't the only wife who survived Henry VIII, Anna of Cleves survived him too, in fact much longer than KP. Anna was the last living wife of Henry VIII, she lived to see her former stepdaughter Mary Tudor take the throne.
Just watched it,I love historical films, especially around this period... Elizabeth:the golden age,le reign Margot, and both of those films are linked by one person?
Amazing to see Jude and Alicia together again after 10 years! They both have had a great decade...Alicia look as beautiful as the first time i saw her, i mean, in Anna Karenina, and Jude looks as fine as well, and actually during that movie he actually looked so old, haha
Vikander is difficult and a weirdo in real life, the director didn’t like her, that’s why she doesn’t feature as much as she could have done in the film
So @trevorpepper1996, you must know Alicia personally to know that she's difficult, true? I thought not. You're just repeating gossip and nasty gossip at that. She's a great actress and very understated and I would bet that most people that have worked with her, have loved the experience. Quit telling lies about someone you don't even know. (from Sandi)
That is such a bullshit, coming from a bitter loner. A director would never ever care about that. He wants his story to be told the way he pictures it.

Exactly she ended up being one of the wealthiest women in England as his adoptive sister 😊

@ yes but it was down to her that Elizabeth got well educated and was brought to court , of course Henry & parliament enacted the succession
Sweet girl Alicia Vikander is back again and with Jude Law on the Cannes interview of "Firebrand".

She always wears the best LV clothes💯❤️

Underrated? Didn't she win an Academy Award? 👀👀👀
Delicious...
Fast-forwarding to when Alicia Vikander speaks ....
Walking through the Tudor Grange Park every Sunday and having a Tea with Ronan Keating who played a concert there.

When is this film coming to the states?!
Ugh i love alivia so much. So glad she's back doing press. I've missed her
does anyone know where her sweater is from? I love it! thanks.
It's a K-Mart special. Or perhaps, Goodwill.
Just watched it,I love historical films, especially around this period... Elizabeth:the golden age,le reign Margot, and both of those films are linked by one person?
Wasn’t Henry a red head?
Lol Jude looks very focused
can't wait to see Jude on the big screen again!
I cant wait to see this! I'm related to Katherine Parr via her uncle William, who was my 14th great grandfather
Alicia best actress

You got to love actors! Henry V111 was a total sociopath but Jude Law needs to try and find the “humanity” in him. It’s just hilarious.😳😳
Jude is unrecognizable now
Gigolo Joe really aged poorly
I disagree, he looks much better now than ever before.
@@adlozi lol
@@munch314 Who's Gigolo Joe?? Jude??
I think it's a reference to his character in the film AI.
@@mrsmoonjelly9522 No...maybe him in "Alfie"..??
good actress ........but Jude......
He's a perfect actor too!

How do you know she is like difficult? Have you met, or worked with her? Or just repeating gossip?
me when i spread misinformation on the internet
@@mrsmoonjelly9522 exactly, every weirdo pretending that knows more

Queen Catherine should have been played by an 'actor' 'of color'.
