Dude, try to watch closely to the german soldiers, some of them are heavily bandage in the head, torso and even without helmets with a full bandage covering their faces, some uniforms with that star emblem for their "bravery", and the orchestral music that can be hear for motivation to keep fighting even if they already know that they are going to die.

WaW will always be my favorite CoD. It had one of the best campaigns, the multiplayer experience was one of the best and it introduced nazi zombies. Back then you had to complete the campaign to unlock nazi zombies and upon competition was an awesome surprise. I really wish I could go back to when this game was in its prime, I miss it.

This game felt just like CoD 4 but it caught the gritty, disgusting and disturbing vibe that WWII gave off and it wasn’t censored or PC. They went all out with this game and I feel WaW doesn’t get near enough love or attention. Black Ops wasn’t bad at all either. Overrated games like Black Ops 2 and 3 over shadowed these games.

i love the scene at around 3:00, it was a neat twist on the usual d-day scenario (im by no means saying this scenario never happened in real life, just cool to see it in a different theatre) by having it be in japan with the landing craft tanks rolling up on the beach along with your guys and you're just completely kicking the defendings side ass from the get-go
The Battle of Peleliu was on Peleliu Island in the Marianas, not Japan. It was also one of many _many_ amphibious landings undertaken in world war 2, particularly in pacific. Operation Overlord (D-Day) was not the only example of such an amphibious landing. Also contrary to world at war's depiciton, the landing did NOT go as smoothly as the game. It took basically an entire day to move off of the beach, and the 2nd day was when they made a move on the airfield which would be depicted in the next mission. Also the main thing that inflicted the most casualties for marines happened to be heat exhaustion, since temperatures were up to 115 degrees farenheit during the battle for the island. Fighting technically continued until 1947 when the last Japanese resistance hiding out in the island's caves finally were convinced to surrender.

I'd like to see the opening of a couple of missions(mostly Vendetta honestly) with free cam and without the camera filters. Like the shooting at the start of Vendetta, how many guys do we still have up, what exactly is going on, it takes like 25 seconds in game to get the ability to actually look and by that point it's over
I still play this to this day and still think it looks good on the most part, but those distant shots (all the boats moving through the water) really show its age.
Fuck Modern Warfare, THIS game needs a remaster. But a remaster with added features like diving, new weapons, melee options, you know, like what they did with Halo. At minimum they need to do it how they did MW2R.

I had a Xbox mod for this but I could never get past the mission with resnov without it crashing but it would display the script of how the ai teammates would react if the player went on ahead before the game wants them to it was really interesting stuff
it's interesting that the animation of the b17 makes it seem like it crashes a lot farther away than it does, so that it makes it seem like the player has traveled a lot further than they actually have when they reach the crash site.

Well the is pretty haunted, in both campaigns i fell like I'm being watched by someone
me and my buds tried doing a campaign co-op play through but quit halfway through because it was too depressing
If you look hard enough, there's a third survivor in the fountain
This game made me interested in world war history
4:26 Hull nomenclature is "62" BB-62 USS New Jersey, and her model is based on her post 1980's modernization. Note the lack of 2/4 of her 5inch gun mounts. and the CIWS on her superstructure and tomahawk missle launchers. Also all the battleships in the background look like copy pasted New Jersey models. XD

zombiebrother06 Not even good in my opinion. Idk I guess being a history guy and the fact that they purposely advertised a historically accurate campaign is what makes it so bad.
When I decided to play this game on PC a bit, seeing the Fw-2000s were low detail just upset me so much. But I have no clue what I expected.
