- Hi Everybody! In today's video I fly from my home airport in Ohio to KSDL Scottsdale Arizona. My family was going to be there for a little bit of business and vacation, so I decided to fly. That way I could build my cross country time and film the flight. I flew in to Scottsdale, which is one of the busiest GA airports in the US, so I definitely needed to be on my toes. I hope you enjoy the video! If you do please like it and subscribe to my channel.
Proud of my son!! 💖💖💖
Old student pilot happy to follow your adventures. Like your SAFE style. Vic
Glad you like it!
Your trip kinda reminds of a story of brothers flying cross country many years ago. If you have not read it yet, get a copy of Flight of Passage. Welcome to West Texas where the wind always blows. And it’s pronounced Doomus.
That book looks awesome! I'm going to have to read it sometime. Thanks for the comment!
Hi Samuel. I am a newly minted pilot and own a 1967 Cherokee 180. This is a great video and provides a lot of motivation for me to start planning some longer cross country flights.
Glad to hear that! I'm sure you'll crush your cross countries!
Great video Samuel! So happy for you doing a "long cross country! Seldom other light aircraft fly like a Cherokee! Such a fun and forgiving airplane! I am really happy I found your channel! I've been to Joplin several times! I've been out to Holmes and Wayne counties 4 different times taking Amish friends of mine out there to visit family. I might add I began my flight lessons in a Piper Tomahawk! I have a very good friend who owns a Piper Warrior. Happy flying always! Mark in KAWG Iowa.
I had a lot of fun😀 Glad you enjoy the channel.
Thanks for sharing
I just got done watching the flight. Excellent job Sammy! We got a chance to hear your comm technique which is always a good way to spot a proficient pilot. You can always tell by the way he handles the radio. You’re improving with every video that I see. We have watched you grow and progress. Hope you have a safe flight home. See you next time.
Thanks! Really appreciate all your encouragement!
WHERE WAS I?! Sammy my man!
Awesome Sam love the videos
Glad you like them!
Great cross country trip. 👍
Thanks 👍
is there an STC for those drooping wingtips? Never seen those before. Or is that an optical illusion? Looks like an epic trip, thanks for sharing!
Yes, there is a STC for the wingtips. The trip was awesome! Glad you liked the video.
@@samueltheaviator4802 what is the mod called?
@@thomasfortnerconductor To be honest I'm not sure, but I'll find out for you.
Hey Samuel. Great job. Just bring the volume down on the music during your narration next time.
Thank you, I will do that.
Love the video, what's the constant blinking yellow light?
That is the message light on the cdi for my GPS. The GPS is kind of junk so it always has a message telling me that the memory is corrupt or something like that.
@@samueltheaviator4802 can we put some tape over it
@@justNvlog Great Idea, Ill try that.
At Amoral Did you go to the big Texan
I did not. I heard it's a really cool place though.
