William and haytham are alike in a way.

-Both support their Order to the max
      -Both can be quite direct
-Both have issues with their son who doesn't wanna become a Templar/Assassin.
Just of the top of my head.

@@obi-ytp-kenobi4712 I would say william pushed does too far into becoming an assassin and Desmond's dead and haytham gave up on trying to convince connor to join the templars.

@@javierwinn405 I agree that William might have pushed Desmond a little bit to hard. Remember the Blag Flag abstergo files? Desmond talks about sneaking up on his father who is drinking a milkshake and stares at his watch and why? It is a test or whatever, an Assassin assassination and Desmond must not been SEEN or HEARD and after hours and hours Desmond made that one tiny noice and William pretended not to hear and congratulations Desmond on ''assassinating'' him… It's quite sad, if William was more of a father figure and showed him things might have been different.
I would not say he pushed Desmond into his dead... That was Juno, I bet Minerva would've let Desmond touch the pedestal to if she and Tinia succeeded in killing her the first time. My memory is a bit foggy on AC3 (maybe cause I sleep terrible XD) now so I might have missed something so feel free to correct my mistakes.
Haytham gave up yes and he tried to stop correcting his son! But it wasn't untill Connor rightfully told him in the most ''gentlemen'' way possible to leave him alone after he found out George Washington ordered the attack on his village and not Lee. From Connors viewpoint it is indeed outrages that Haytham:
      1. Wasn't aware of this
      2. Was aware of this and kept it hidden.
''How long did you sit on this information? Or am I to believe you discovered it now?''
Still though I do imagine if Desmonds story was different their relationship would've ended up in the same way.

Is it possible for taking personlity traits from ancestors?

    • @obi-ytp-kenobi4712
      @obi-ytp-kenobi4712  5 лет назад +1

      Yes and no:
Once inside the Animus you are sharing your mind with your ancestor in his or her body, you can feel the pressure of the ancestors mind even! you feel that he or she wants to speak during the memories. You can also read memories about the ancestors past and more but outside the Animus it's different.
Once you leave the Animus the mind of your ancestor and his or her memories overlay with your present day view this also counts for their morality and personality and sexuel preference (so if you are gay you can suddenly have a interest in the opposite sex) as they still linger inside your head and it can possibly influence your decision making unknowingly if you are not paying attention or you aren't aware what your own identity is. This explains why the Animus users act differently once they exit the Animus. Overtime though the ''ghosts'' in your head should leave and you return to normal.
But over exposure and a weak mind can possibly lead to greater risks! over exposure can melt your identity with the ancestor confussing you who you are.
So in short YOU CAN temporary have personality traits from your ancestors (if you went through multiple sessions with everytime a different ancestor than you might struggle with multiple personalities in fact) but it will eventually go away as they are ''ghosts'' in the mind... But if you really wanna try and keep that one or multiple personality traits than I advice over exposure there is absolutely nothing wrong with that (sarcasm).
