It's interesting how Hector was fucked over as a character because Warren Ellis enjoyed tortuing his character. Ellis also said he disliked how heroic the VA's voice and that made him want to break him more.
This is what cemented my contempt for that neanderthal. A petty writer who was too immature to keep his own feelings and beliefs out of a work he was adapting already compromises the work in question. I have more respect for IGA after this as he was right to bury this project. Fanfic writers, who would do a better job than this overrated writer, would be lynched for the shit Ellis pulled on this show.
Man, knowing Ellis is also a sex offender makes me think the guy is profoundly fucked in the head. Maybe that's why the series was like Berserk but more pessimistic.
Hector from games: potential to be more powerfull than Death (a God of chaos) one of the most powerfull forgemasters, deafeated death Isaac and Dracula. Anime Hector: The writters had a dominatrix bdsm fetish
My boy Hector is one of the most powerful characters in the series. It’s established that during the first war his power was equal to that of Death, a deity and Dracula’s right hand. By the end of Curse of Darkness, he held his own one v one with Trevor, defeated Isaac, defeated Death, and defeated the revived Dracula (granted he wasn’t quite at full strength). Literally none of that in the show. It’s sad.
I wouldn't of even minded the idea of Hector being taken prisoner, had they brought some tension to how carefully Carmilla had to tread with Hector given that he's a beast in combat. Sadly, they not only diminished him as a character, but made his fighting skills none existent and even gave some of his better qualities to race swapped Isaac, who pretty much fills the role of a warrior.
Also to keep in mind that the ingame cutscenes of Curse of Darkness where Hector is shown fighting, he merely uses his fists. This implies that Hector can beat ass without a weapon. Imagine him just choking the shit out of those 3 "vampires" lol
@@FireOccator This cracked me up. Hector writes "And then I had sex with not ONE, but TWO girls. And it's Isaac's sister" Isaac "What are you writing Hector?" Hector "Huh? What? NOTHING!"

@@eisenkrahe7125 True. I was greatly disappointed with this show. Hector was my favorite. I don’t mind Issacs change in character but I couldn’t stand anything else in the series. Also what the fuck was that ending?!
@@eisenkrahe7125 Since when did you start to realize that the show isn't meant to be accurate to the games. Of course the characters aren't going to be accurate. Not every adaption has to be accurate. This is a ridiculous argument. And your criticism seem more like nitpicks. Like you didn't seem understand alucards loneliness drove him to become more insane. And when he killed he embraced his loneliness by impaling his victims because that's what his father did when he was alone. Did you forget the foreshadowing in the beginning when dracula impaled his victims when he was alone as well. No matter how he tries to be the opposite of dracula. He'll always be related to his father. And you tried to convince others to get help because they say the exact opposite to what you say. That makes you more of a narcissist.
@@johndoe-sv9th Then what's the point of the show? Why would they adapt the whole arch of the third game and have slight hints at eventually adapting Curse of darkness and the writer said he had interest in adapting Aria of Sorrow aswell? Being an adaptation and inaccurate is not only a defect it's a disrespect to the original material, specially when it's on purpose. If they wanted to change theirs personalities, why not make new characters? Make a show inspired by Castlevania, just like the Lords of shadows games did? Oh yeah, using the characters from the games is going to make it more popular because it's not well written enough. And no my criticism isn't nitpicking, I'm constantly pointing out errors and problems with the writing, that's not like i was saying "oH iSaAc iS BlAcK tHiS sHoW iS tRaSh" or "ThEy ChAnGeD tHe NaMe oF tHe WhIp". And i can point out much more fundamental problems with the show, Specially around Hector if you're interested. Oh and I'm sorry to mention but, Dracula, Vlad The IMPALER, Impaling people is not a foreshadow by FAR, It's expected to see him impale people, and yes i understand that Alucard's loliness was making him insane, but the deal is: He would never do something like this, he's constantly shown alone/sleeping for centuries in the games and still never said or did anything to support his father (besides the fact that he killed him 3 times) And not even considering that the whole arc of his loliness/abuse is useless, wasn't that supposed to change him as a person, make him distrust people? Like any trauma victim? But no season 4 is like: "Gonna help this random strangers lmao" I could even argue that he did this because in the games he is a good person and loves humans, but he "doesn't need to be the same from the games", so i guess it's just a bad script. And I'm convinced that you're either pretending you're stupid or 50 years old "Stop it, Get some help" is a meme. Search for it.

I don't care what anyone says as a castlevania fan especially of the lore and novels the Netflix absolutely destroyed the story and charecters They made dracula a pussy They made Alucard a pussy They made the Belmont a simp who can't do anything right without he's girlfriend And let's not talk about Hector one of the most powerful and we'll recepacted charecter in the castlevania universe gone to being a slave wtf I wish from the bottom of my heart that they don't touch Simon's story because I'm 100%sure they'll shit on him and he's son

Hector was such a badass in the game. Game Hector finds out his lover dead: I'm going to KILL you Issac! Netflix Hector sees someone die, cries like a puppy: why, why are you doing this to me?! How much do you wanna bet carmilia would get her ass kick if she tried to attack Game Hector? Probably get ripped apart considering he took down demon Dracula.
Hector would demolish Carmilla. In the game it was clearly stated he was just as strong as Death during the first war, and he definitely got stronger considering he defeated both Isaac and Death one after the other.
Hector and Isaac before the war were rumored to be as strong as Death and in Curse of Darkness, _IS_ stronger than Death, even if we use his three year out of touch with devil forgery version, you still get a guy that can pimp slap the fuck out of giants easily The more interesting question is: would he have harbor the same feeling for game Isaac to Netflix Isaac? It’s obvious that he harbors no negative intent against game version but… what about Netflix Isaac?
never thought General Kenobi cared for one of the most underrated Castlevanian Hero in all history love Hector, i was extremely happy to see him appear on the animated masterful series but was also very disappointed to see him enslaved in the whole season 3 they better awake his true devil forgemaster powers for season 4 or maybe and hopefully a whole season will be dedicate to him with that said is suggest Hector custom difficult settings such equipping the brooch of bounds as soon is possible to negate XP earning for both crazy mode and normal it gets crazy and then you ll have to fight like a true man specially if decided not using innocent devils and also for Trevor an Non Hp No Def upgrades run is also a very underrated challenge run fucking love Curse of darkness
Well they announced S4 will be the final one and in the trailer he had like 3 seconds of screentime and 0 lines while still being a slave and all the other characters were kicking ass so I don't think the focus will shift to him :( in fact it seems they're like doing the Curse of Darkness/first Dracula resurrection plot but with Trevor instead :( I hope maybe they just edited the trailer that way to surprise us, but one season just doesn't strike as enough to give him the development he needs to do the whole 180° turn to reach the level of his game counterpart :/
People believe that they ruined Hector by taking away his ability to fight as well as him being framed as an imbecile. While these are true, it goes even further than that as I want to elaborate. His ideology of vampires being superior to humans was non existent in the lore and the worst part is that he does not come to question his own philosophy in the show. Hector in the lore deserted Dracula of his own volition because he would not partake in indiscriminate slaughter. This is the same Hector who tried at one point to convince Dracula to stop but failed. Hector's emasculation and character assassination is also tied with Isaac and Dracula as their story dynamic was altered for the worse.
@@Kira22558 They never make it clear if they were actually friends in the games. If so, that may have been in the beginning, I speculate. But I know for certain they held respect for one another. Their friendship, should it have existed in the beginning, deteriorates when Dracula held Hector in higher regard over Isaac.
I remember waiting the entire fucking series hoping they did an adaptation of Curse of Darkness, only to be met with Hector being reduced to a bitch. I don't even like Hector in the games that much, but this felt like someone in the writing team had a bone to pick with him.
I wondered if they treated him like this in the animated series Because he was too OP in the game, but then I learned that the writer literally hated Hector and my theory sank like a stone.
Isaac was the only one who felt like he was in a "castlevania show" >kill of the main antagonist >put all of the other characters in filler arcs >everyone else end up the same place that they started in the end of season 2 >only the OC in everything but name gets to do anything >does the writing equivalent of shading out all of the dots in a test sheet when backslash from casual fans actually came. The writers wanted to do their OC story but ride of the fame of the IP.
yeah hector was the only character I didn't like the portrayal in the netflix series and sadly the 4 season changed nothing, in fact the powers he had in the game "curse of darkness" were used by Isaac instead, but oh well at least the main cast had a badass final battle
ALL of the character portrayals are garbage. Trevor is an emo potty mouth who swears every 2 seconds. Alucard is the same, and the dude kills two people in the name of his father... even tho he sweared to kill him. Sypha is an overpowered mary sue bitch who constantly acts like an annoying brat, if she is so powerful she should just kill Dracula herself.
They said the spinoffs would have a "new cast" and from what I've seen the show version of Hector is not particularly popular. Why waste time with him when everyone wants to see other Belmonts or Alucard in SotN? I mean, I would love to see Hector in the hands of a writer that actually cares about him but it just doesn't seem likely to me :( he doesn't even have to become a badass like in CoD I just want him to have a satisfying conclusion to his story cause the one he had in S4 was very halfassed imo
You know, I really do not understand how Castlevania Judgment was criticized for changing the personality and the original attires of the characters and Then the Series is basically doing the same thing but some unknown reason some people like that, Like they literally made Hector and St.Germain act like a Pussies and in the Game They are have broken abilities like Stopping Time and ecc..
Partly because of the writer and the showrunner. One didn't care for the lore and the other had little understanding of it. Self-proclaimed Castlevania fans are in part, to blame for enabling this mockery. Many of them seem to be more fans of the show and even think the games lore should be altered to suit the show. Much like what this overrated hack of a writer actually did. There's a good reason why I detest this Netflix series and that is just the surface. I myself detest how they turned Hector and Germain into emasculated bitches. And the phonies will say this is an improvement. For all of Judgement's faults, it did touch on and expand on parts of the lore. Especially CV3's.
In the game: When Hector encounter Trevor the Vampire Hunter immediately mocks hector saying that he cannot be a devil forgemaster because he is too weak and it’s said that a Devil Forgemaster power’s rivals that of death (very important detail that developers added to show that a full powered Hector would be a totally different fight), and that version of Hector was just getting back his powers because when he deserted Dracula he said that he was never going to use it again. The game makes it very clear that a Devil Forgemaster is like a second in command with Dracula, so he is a very powerful sorcerer, not a common one, even Isaac say that to Trevor when he almost kill him. “Do not equate a Devil Forgemaster’s power of an ordinary sorcerer”. So we can conclude that Hector’s Castlevania version is a total pussy.
the castlevania netflix show is nothing more than some sick fandom animated since i couldnt go pass season 2 since it was so bad, castlevania nocturne is pretty bad too since they made annette into burnt popcorn.
Hector was sacrificed because Warren Ellis REALLY wanted to adapt Berserk, so he took a white-haired dude and threw him in a dungeon in the nude because it looked like Griffith. He even made one of the lesbian vampire ladies that had no character outside of being lesbians wear armor that looked like the Berserker Armor and do a big action scene before unceremoniously retiring them from the story because they existed to reference Berserk. Ironically, after seeing how he treated Castlevania, I don't want him touching Berserk.
If they did that to hecktor just because he was a pretty boy with White hair i don't even wanna imagine what they would do to Juste Belmont and my boy Soma Cruz
@@thetraveller4839 Berserk is well written is the difference, and is not trying to be insulting to the lore of game characters in the process. Better example would be to make Guts ditching the group because he is a meathead who likes chicks, and just letting Griffith be abandoned or some nonsense. "ACADEMY AWARDS, SO BRAVE WOW!" just one example of how to not respect the source material in a sense : P
@@stranger5011Ellis is no longer the writer, you don't have to worry. Though he did that shit to Alucard simply because he's a pretty boy. To Ellis and Western Culture, Pretty boy = Gay. Western culture sucks.
To Isaac, he also made cool encounters with others on his route, like the ship's captian Isaac met would be an perfect Assassin, because of his opinion on Vengeance. Also yeah Hector is an sad shell and I feel really bad for the character that was supposed to be cool.
Hector in the game was also looking for revenge for the murder of his wife right or something like that? why didn't they put that in the anime, seems like a ways better plot line to me. Also WTF did they do to Isaac????
Every Netflix series needs an oppressed PoC, and if there isn't one readily available in the source material then they just have to turn someone brown.
I've never played the game but I'd be even more upset to see his feats in the game to the show, supposed to be the right hand of drac but get manipulated and called man boi, child ,baby etc. Which is what all the other character vamps are reduced to in Carmilas eyes, the made to betray the man that gave him purpose, then beat and treated like less than human, called a pet, called an it, dragged for miles on bare feet, lost his virginity and made a permanent slave through it, it felt like someone really didnt like him the ,"shush the real ppl are talking " when she tells the sisters how he's gonna live really urked me
One of the many reasons I hate the show. I keep telling people that Devil Forge Masters are not pushovers, but this somehow is better than the real lore in their eyes..... Kay....
These schmucks ruined Castlevania on purpose. There's no denying it at this point. Warren Ellis. Adi Shankar, Netflix, etc. What they did to Hector was so vile it made my blood boil. That's but one of several issues I have with this show and yet, people love this garbage. 🤢🤮 This is right up there with He-Man, Star Wars and several other beloved I.P.s as the worst adaptation ever. Even Lords Of Shadow was a far more respectful adaptation of Castlevania & people are split on that one.
@@thetraveller4839 I hate to be that guy but Netflix did it for political propaganda. They do it with every show. Like season one was pretty good but after they tested the waters they went Full Tard!! No helping it now. What's done is done.

Even with a different writer, I have a gut feeling that Nocturne is going to suck and honestly, any independent creators who value their IPs should keep them away from Netflix, Disney, etc. Otherwise it'll suffer the same fate.
Ya know, my relationship with castlevania is a curious one, ya see, when i was little my first contact with Castlevania was trough a game on the ps1 i cant even remember the name, considering i barely knew my own language at that time, let alone english, but the name "Castlevania" stayed in my memory (as did the name of a lot lf great games i would play in the future), then skip several years ahead and i managed to play curse of darkness on the ps2, i was still new to english, but i could put togheter a lot of what was happening, like hector being an "ex bad guy" due to have worked for dracula, so i could gather from this how strong the dude was suposed to be, and it felt good playing as him, tough during that period i had no idea the belmonts where suposed to be the big heroes of the franchise, so i just assumed the belmont you fough was a generic good guy that didnt like Hector because he was once a soldier of dracula (again, learning english, and curse of darkness was my first proper interaction with the series), well, sufice to say that, barred certain glances i had with the lords of shadow series, because getting my hand on games was HARD during that time, my interactions with Castlevania ended here for a time. Skip what, 12 or 13 years to the future i saw the animation on Netflix, the first season, and tough it was neat, i reconized some of the names and overhall tough it looked pretty cool, doesnt help that my source for the lore of the game where a bunch of youtubers that told the story by bending it to fit the Netflix narrative to build hype for the animation... Then we arrive at the second season, that i eagerly waited because i tough the first season was cool, then i saw hector and was ectastic and i told my girlfriend "oh, i know this guy, i played his game, he is super strong and super baddass" and that got her excited to see hector in action too, then... I saw isaac, and that imediatly put me off (go on, call me racist all you want) cuz i was expecting ginger crazy eyes over the top isaac i remembered from the game, that would constantly be butting heads with hector and would eventualy lead to both of them fighting each other... well, sufice to say this never happened, and all the cool things i told about hector not only never happened, but the guy i had memories of being a fcking baddass, that fough dragons, death, isaac and even dracula himself, got me so underwelmed that i started questioning if i was miss remembering him, and so i went to watch cutscenes from the game, and, well, i was not wrong, it was just netflix being netflix again, well, to make a long story not so short, i ended up getting completely put off from the animations because when they started adapting things from the game i actually played, i started to see how the animations was just a turd wraped in gold, never watched any of the other season, and after playing the return to castlevania dlc from dead cells, listening to a lot of lore vídeos of the games, and vídeos showing the discrepancies of the netflix adaptation, safe to say i wont touch those gold turds anytime for the rest of my life, instead i'll keep dreaming they make curse of darkness playable on the ps4/5 or xbox one/x/s :v
Have you read the Prelude to Revenge and the 2 discontinued volume manga yet? It's only available online now, but I do highly recommend it as the latter delves further into Hector's backstory. As a Curse Of Darkness fan myself, I myself wanted to see that story fully adapted. But when they race swapped Isaac and not only altered Hector's character, but emasculated him as well, I knew the more I saw of this show, that we'll never get the actual story. A shame too as in the actual story, Dracula actually acknowledged Trevor Belmont as a threat and actually placed Hector in charge of a legion of his fiercest monsters and sent them to kill Trevor before he even set foot in Wallachia.
Aside from butchering Hector to the point of being unrecognizable, I have several issues with this show itself and how it deviated from the original canon. So much to unpack to the point I have to plan out my own video or two. 🙈
I just "finished" watching the 4 seasons and, man, it was terrible. I couldn't help but skip many times. Terrible dialogues, very few action scenes (most of the show is just normal people being butchered), and the characters seems to have being writen by some woke university student that really doesn't know or like the franchise. What a waste of time.
here i am just finishing Normal Boss rush in 1 hr spamming heals and steals for completion. then i saw a god-tier 14 min Boss Rush(doable after grinding) speedrun and lastly this... how disappointing as always, Netflix
I'm from the future and watched season 4 so spoilers....... Hector played a crucial role in the destruction of his vampire masters and manages to restore his friendship with Isaac....... Maybe. Oh and also Dracula and his wife, Alucard's mother, were revived and came back so happy ending to everyone.
Now since I think about it, I feel that there's no reason for Dracula to hate humanity anymore, now since he got his wife back. And isn't Dracula supposed to stay dead for at least a century (with some exceptions)? Idk, I feel that it's quite odd for them to go for this route, when Dracula's supposed to be a madman up until near the end of SoTN (I think. No. You are not wrong. As Curse of Darkness, I’m still not okay with this. I can accept how they adapted Issac, despite the fact it was just an adaptation of the character in name only. Adapting Hector like this was a huge kick in the balls. To quote Vito Corleone. “Look at how much they massacred my Boy?”
And that why i should’ve dropped the show after season 2, thankfully i got smart and dropped it after the first episode of the third season. I love curse of darkness, its not only my first castlevania but also my first rated M game. Me and my brother would play the absolute crap out of this game and to this day im still trying and failing to get that sweet laser sword. Just makes me sad my favorite character got screwed in this show cause of a petty writer that doesn’t like hector.
I should have done the same, but I stuck it out. Season 1 was a good start. Decent adaptation of “Castlevania III”. The later seasons had some good elements, but the good stuff is few and far between. Like you, I was excited as “Curse of Darkness” fan when Hector was announced to be coming in. And look what happened. Yeah. I’ve heard the stories coming out about what Warren Ellis doing this on purpose. He apparently got some fascination with Hector getting tortured. He also allegedly hates the character’s VA, Theo James, and did this just to spite him. It has been confirmed that Adi Shankar didn’t want that to happen since he is a big fan of both Hector and Alucard. Due to butting heads with Ellis, he practically checked out in Season 3. As a result, the writing from Ellis went completely unchecked. Besides the massive flogging and gelding of Hector, this would also explain why Alucard did something in Season 3 that was…..out of place. I think you know what moment I am talking about.
Man, I'm afraid the Castlevania Nocturne show is going down the same crazy path with all sorts of crap that doesn't even look like the game... with the source material that matters. I hate Warren Ellis for making this show so shitty, especially since the writing is so bad as hell. 💀
I told another guy that even though Warren Ellis is gone, doesn't mean that Castlevania Nocturne is going to be good, let alone a faithful adaptation for 1 simple reason. Netflix themselves. @@thetraveller4839 Yeah, even if that bastard Warren Ellis is gone and he'll be replaced by someone else who'll probably do worse than him. @@aluminiumbirch6800 Tell me about it. Not just Alucard, but I also believe that Hector was raped as one cannot truly consent given the circumstance he's in. Those adult scenes were done for the sake of shock and generating cheap hype since neither Netflix nor Warren Ellis had the writing chops or maturity to follow through with it. Of all the characters, Hector came out the worst IMO. The fact that people think he's an improvement over his video game counterpart has to be the most asinine thing I've ever heard. Many of them have never played the games nor did they care to look into the lore. I'm with you on that one. @@aluminiumbirch6800 Part of why I say that Netflixvania was a perverse disrespect to this series. IGA himself canned this project years back. I now understand why. Sad that Konami themselves has fallen so far. Next to Capcom, they use to put out great games. Many that became some of my favorites. I'd either Konami have a complete purge or they sell their I.P.'s to someone who will do them justice. It would be hilarious if IGA himself bought the rights to Castlevania.
One of the worst things about this is that people now think that Netflix Trevor is the actual one, when the games themselves say otherwise. Game Trevor was basically Castlevania's Aragorn. Show Trevor was... surprisingly more closer to Grant Danasty in terms of personality.
His character in the show is no way canon, it's like a totally different universe, Alucard was perfectly done, Trevor too, and Richter in nocturne, i liked these two the most... Alucard also got tricked into bed but once things got serious my guy caused a bloodbath, not like this excuse of a character named hector.
Isaac in Netflix developed pretty well he is not a simp like hector hes a badass as always while hector did not develope at all he still remains a simp for the entire series
This is why I hate Netflix. The race swapping was done on purpose as was Hector's emasculation. The original isaac is actually a tragic character himself. If one looks into the discontinued manga that expands on their backstories, they had the perfect material for Isaac's descent to insanity. Hector and Isaac's Cain and Abel dynamic was actually non-existent in this show.
Both the Original Castlevania & the Lords of Shadow Games are Great & Canon. On the other hand, Shitflixvania Series by Shitflix aka Netflix is pure Trash & those who support such low-standard "adaptation" have shit taste.
I'll humor you, friend. 😆 Even before Julia, Hector actually had a wife that loved him, despite who he was and what he did. She gets wrongfully executed in a sham trial as Hector was either powerless to intervene or was too late to do so. I could see him seeking vengeance for a woman like Rosaly. A woman like Lenore who gaslights and enslaves him into Stockholm Syndrome, (and even rapes him, depending on who you ask ragarding that scene.) Not a flippin' chance. I would sooner ship him with Isaac or Trevor before ever entertaining Hector X Lenore. And I rarely entertain character shipping. Julia and him only became a couple after the events of Curse Of Darkness. Partly because Hector is just starting to move past his wife's death and Julia needed time to mourn her brother's death. Hector X Julia is not just canon, but a logical conclusion IMO.

It is really a shame that Hector, unlike the game, was less developed than Isaac. He has his story already told by the game, the producers just needed to reanimate this, It was apparently simple vengeance and redemption plot that relies on a curse after Dracula's death. On the other hand, Isaac had an arc only to him for no reason, and It even got off track from the main plot at some point. I don't understand why showmakers pervert so many series and why franchise owners allow this while they're missing oportunity to make more money.
@@ichangedidk9097 I just read the manga myself. Netflix had the material right there if they ever wanted a proper COD adaptation. A rare opportunity. Squandered.
Unpopular opinion...Hector isn't simp. He just was Naive. Naive enough to believe Lenore is on his side. But how he acted afterward, once he had gained some kind of Comfort and safety (as comfortable as a slave could feel) he treated Lenore as an equal and not as goddesses whose feet are there to be licked at. He joked about her and laughed at what she said. And finally, when she decided to commit suicide, he did not try desperately to hold her back or convince her that he loved her because he had no reasons. He respected her decision and let her go. Idk but for me it's definition of not being simp. Saint Germain was a Simp (still one of my favorite characters anyway XD) About Isaac, i think he is much better character in Netflix adaptation, in games he's to over the top
You don't need to be a badass to be a good character, and in my opinion the Hector of the Netflix series is just a poor character on its own. He had no real character growth (except suddenly becoming competent in S4 without explanation) and had no real purpose in the story than to be the pathetic doormat other characters stomp on to look better and be the vehicle for the writer to insert his fetishes into the show. His story just felt like pointless trauma porn and ultimately a waste of time to me, a waste of potential for something much greater
@@anag4770 You voiced my thoughts exactly as to the issues I have with Hector's portrayal. Even on its own merits, this character rubbed me the wrong way. Not to mention the gaslighting that went into the writing and the twisted moments from season 3 that was never addressed. If you look up the drama and infighting that happened behind the scenes and how it affected the shows writing, it would explain why this show as a whole is awful. I know that I for one, never wish to see any future works by any of these people involved or Netflix for that matter.
Given Netflix's reputation and their intent with many of their content, there might be some truth to that joke of yours. It would make way too much sense as to why they severely emasculated Hector. Alucard & Trevor are not far behind if you payed attention to how they were written compared to the women.
@Kian Knows Indeed. His comeback was weak and underwhelming. Partly done to make race swapped Isaac look even better. The writer couldn't even commit to keeping Lenore as a villain and Carmilla was a one-note joke that overstayed her welcome.

And i can point out much more fundamental problems with the show, Specially around Hector if you're interested.
Oh and I'm sorry to mention but, Dracula, Vlad The IMPALER, Impaling people is not a foreshadow by FAR, It's expected to see him impale people, and yes i understand that Alucard's loliness was making him insane, but the deal is: He would never do something like this, he's constantly shown alone/sleeping for centuries in the games and still never said or did anything to support his father (besides the fact that he killed him 3 times)
And not even considering that the whole arc of his loliness/abuse is useless, wasn't that supposed to change him as a person, make him distrust people? Like any trauma victim?
But no season 4 is like: "Gonna help this random strangers lmao"
I could even argue that he did this because in the games he is a good person and loves humans, but he "doesn't need to be the same from the games", so i guess it's just a bad script.

The writers of the show were at Dracula's side so it is why the roles were reversed.

Dunno' how people love Lenore, it's like having an ex with daddy issues and a lot of manipulative ways to get what her want

As imperfect as the game itself was, the story as well as the prequel manga was worthy of an adaptation. The material was there.

Idk, I feel that it's quite odd for them to go for this route, when Dracula's supposed to be a madman up until near the end of SoTN (I think. I'm still learning about Castlevania and only played 4-5 games so far...)
@@ichangedidk9097 guy later on in the future to say: Grimoire of souls (The Apple Arcade game no one gave a fuck about) actually goes into detail as to why he goes to becomes a madman, hell it's mentioned many times in SOTN and Dracula X chronicles. When the times demand my presence again… I’m sure I’ll be there to satisfy the world’s desire for a never-ending night”. He of course still holds Lisa close yet it's human greed which always brings him back. So in some way, the ending in Netflix in a cosmic sort of way, kinda fits
@@ichangedidk9097 Pretty sure he's always the villain of the mainline franchise in some capacity until Aria of the Sorrow, where his source of power and the origin of evil Chaos is revealed and his reincarnation defeats said evil, redeeming himself and saving his own soil and defying his destiny.

I have several issues with the prior show itself to the point I am planning a video in the future highlighting why I detest Warren Ellis' and by extension Adi Shankar and Netflix's perversion of Castlevania.
@@thetraveller4839 Yeah, even if that bastard Warren Ellis is gone and he'll be replaced by someone else who'll probably do worse than him.
Anyway I don't trust the new writer for the new show for nocturne..
Honestly, I'd rather he not do a Castlevania anime if it was to see so many shitty failures in this series for Netflix. ( especially since the writing has gone seriously wrong, also i hate the rape scene with Alucard which is used by Taka and Sumi to better trap him using it as betrayal. )
not to mention Hector that he took so much damage, because of that idiot diplomat who is just Lenore, I hate her the most. 💀😬
I'd rather they never do another video game adaptation again if this is what we're going to get.
@@thetraveller4839 Most of them are not real Castlevania fans who don't even play the game, they only watch the Netflixvania show. all because they think characters are like that in games.
Not to mention they don't play every game in the series in general which has been around for a good decade, before Konami got into making shitty pachinko games.
Luckily konami released a Castlevania Grimoire of Souls game.. but I wish it was released on console and not mobile. 😔
Not just hector, all the characters were ruined in this show. I even regret watching it now tainting my memories with this crap.
One of the worst things about this is that people now think that Netflix Trevor is the actual one, when the games themselves say otherwise.
Game Trevor was basically Castlevania's Aragorn. Show Trevor was... surprisingly more closer to Grant Danasty in terms of personality.
They completely destroyed Castlevania and ruined Hector's character because of some garbage neanderthal writer named Warren Ellis
Hey Obi,who would win in a battle between two freedom fighters,Dedsec or The Assassins Order?
I would go with dedsec.
1:03 WUT IS THIS VERSION OF CHOCOBO OST?! 😂
Hopefully next season he gets redeemed.
YES PLEASE
Probably will if they get to the curse of darkness arc.
I’ve got slightly better news for you.
Good news
Lol nope, he doe nothing important and still is a beta simp.
If they make a story about hector and isaac going somewhere, i hope they make up to that
nobody is talking about what happened to Isaac in the Wokeflix adaptation?
someone's gonna get bended, that's their quota
Isaac in Netflix developed pretty well he is not a simp like hector hes a badass as always while hector did not develope at all he still remains a simp for the entire series
This is why I hate Netflix. The race swapping was done on purpose as was Hector's emasculation.
The original isaac is actually a tragic character himself. If one looks into the discontinued manga that expands on their backstories, they had the perfect material for Isaac's descent to insanity. Hector and Isaac's Cain and Abel dynamic was actually non-existent in this show.
Basically they turned the hero into a simp and the villain into a chad, still an Isaac fan tho
you mean the original one right?
Poor man.
Both the Original Castlevania & the Lords of Shadow Games are Great & Canon. On the other hand, Shitflixvania Series by Shitflix aka Netflix is pure Trash & those who support such low-standard "adaptation" have shit taste.
Anyone who loves to ship Hector and Julia, go in this comment section and let's have a talk
I don't ship them, but I prefer that ship over Hector x Lenore
Does it count as a Ship if its actually canon?
@@lok4890 idk man
I'll humor you, friend. 😆
Even before Julia, Hector actually had a wife that loved him, despite who he was and what he did.
Hector X Julia is not just canon, but a logical conclusion IMO.
look at what they did to !!!!

Something tells me that the anime is either prequel to Curse of Darkness or alternate timeline because there's no way in hell that Hector is being treated like some b*tch! 😡🤬
It's a completely seperate cannon
Hector would destroy the vampire sisters in the true cannon no doubt
0:21-0:49 "Rules of nature" from Metal Gear Rising could've been more epic music for Hector.

Would anyone else go through what hector went through just to be with lenore? (without her dying ofc)
Or am I THAT down bad...
Yikes.
Saint Germain was a Simp (still one of my favorite characters anyway XD)
About Isaac, i think he is much better character in Netflix adaptation, in games he's to over the top
That was definitely the intention, but the execution feels off.
:(
I'm Netflix Hector in real life, forgive me 😔🤙
They wimpify Hector because he is white.
Joking aside, I don’t mind Netflix’s depiction of Hector; he already has his badass-ness in Curse of Darkness
You were wrong

@Kian Knows this is very subjective.
@Kian Knows Indeed.
His comeback was weak and underwhelming. Partly done to make race swapped Isaac look even better.
