Yay, Ryan!! I love Sci-Fi too!! Right now I am sucked into the Expeditionary Force series by Craig Alanson. I features a wise-cracking Artificial Intelligence named Skippy who is befreinded by a lowly, "hairy ape" human soldier named Joe Bishop. Together the two of them steal a space cruiser and save planet Earth's inhabitants repeatedly from destruction by alien species. The funny banter and great characterizations keep be laughing. The science is conveniently dumbed down for stupid human Joe so that even stupid human me can follow what's going on. It is a sixteen book series (I have them all through Audible) that I highly recommend!
