I know this is a super old video, but I wanted to say thank you for not just showing the steps to build something but going into the techniques and theory. Its always better to understand why and how things work the way they do. Teach a man to fish!
Just saying I know it's been 6 years since you made this video - but it still helped me today! Thanks for going into so much detail for the basics - I needed that!
I finally cracked and bought planet coaster last night. No regrets! Thank you for your large collection of guides, tips & tricks, I'll be coming back here often I think!
I’m so glad I looked into tutorials on this game. I’ve had this game for a couple years yet had a hard time understanding. Now I’m learning things I can’t believe I didn’t already know, like how to know something is a grid item or knowing that there are ways to change the way a path forms.
It's the little things that are easily missed... although I think the most useful thing here 'add to building' is pretty new, don't even think I saw it in the beta!
Excellent video! I picked Planet Coaster up yesterday and I am totally overwhelmed with the amount of options for building. Its going to be fun learning it all and I am sure I will be back often to pick up some great tips. Thanks and keep up the great work. Love your channel.
Thanks for the tips! Love this tutorial series. I've always been good at building coasters and placing trees and plants, but never dabbled in creating buildings. These tips will make my park next level for sure.
Thank you so much for this series of videos! The release of Planet Zoo made me play Planet Coaster again (waiting for a sale next year so I can snatch Planet Zoo for less :P) and I now watched all of your tutorials. It really amazes me how many features this game has that I didn't even know existed. These are the kind of tutorials that should've come with the game!
Thank you do much for explaining the keybinds you're using! I've watched other amazing builders but they never tell you what they're actually hitting. You got a new sub :)
Really good tutorials you've posted! You've helped me alot. :) The only thing I do not like about this building is that you can se the walls go into the shop. I wish they would provide walls that are different widths and not just different heights.
Hey Geekism, just a little suggestion, but I think it would be awesome if you branched out to other games like Sims 4, for the building. Would love to see what kind of stuff you could possibly make on there as your building style is great!
Eventually I'd love to branch into other games within the creation/simulation genre and it's great to hear some of you would like that too. Planet Coaster is kind of consuming my life atm lol, But I'll definately look at other games in the future :)
I just started playing planet coaster for the first time earlier today, and having played quite a bit of Cities Skylines, I wish Cities had a building creation system closer to this; theirs is way less intuitive, and all I ever created was way jankier
Love the tutorial and your channel, really top quality work! Well done! Your videos are some of the very few I watched from beginning to the end without skipping. Are there any other games you plan on playing? Are they mostly simulation type of game?
+Frederics Fung Thank you very much :) I've just started a new series on Astroneer and will look at a few more games in the new year :) yes, they will mostly be sim/creation games :)
I know this video is old, but I cannot build on the inside of the box that the little booth is at unless I create a new building. I turned collisions off in the options, but no change. Edit: I got it, but I mostly have to use the shift button to bring it down, but it works
Look, i know it's obvious, but it took me watching this video to realize that there's no actual "wall with window" piece and i have to put the windows on myself....
Fantastic! Ooh, that building attachment bit helped. Thank you! I really like these tutorials. Also, is there a chance you could show how to start a park in Challenge Mode? I never know where or how to start. An idea for a park, but how do you implement it with the four thousand bucks you start with? Thanks! I love your channel. It's my new favorite!
I am still completely unclear on how to copy something on the same axis (for instance when he lines up the two windows on different surfaces). Any help would be great! I must be missing something.
Geekism, is there a way to set multiple entrances for a park in challenge mode yet? I'm having a problem where my park is so deep people will not go too far in. I've build a monorail (free to enter) to try and solve the problem but the back of my part is bleeding money.
+CWAC you can set multiple 'park gates' (the thing with the tiles on the ground) but guests will only enter the map through the tunnel and will go to the nearest gate. I'm working on some tips for moving guests into the park, should be up in the next week or two :)
Hey good videos however I am trying to "play" along but I can't get the wall to go flush against the shop. It either jumps the grid next to it or raises it above the shop. Am I doing something wrong or is this something that changed in later releases?
OMG it´s so unfair you only have a couple of thousands subs. You make incredible videos! I learn so much :) (And will copy my new knowledge to my danish chanel ;) )
Am I the only one really confused about the meters here? O.o I mean a normal person is around 1.80m ... how can a thing be 4 meters high when a person just barely can stand inside it O.o?
Omg 😮 at 10:09 I realised that I have to click shift 🤦🏻♀️🙂 sorry haven’t watched the full video earlier and haven’t built since I first played the game,, was focusing on blueprint but I will try this weekend hopefully

This is what I wanted to see from Frontier. I'm looking forward to more videos from your channel. Outstanding!
Thank you! Check out the tutorials playlist as I've covered a lot more there :)
Awesome tutorials! Thank you so much for making these.
I was so excited to start planet coaster, but it’s a bit overwhelming.
I finally cracked and bought planet coaster last night. No regrets! Thank you for your large collection of guides, tips & tricks, I'll be coming back here often I think!

Thanks ! I've been playing since the 1st alpha and 5 mins in and I've learned two things I didn't know!
It's the little things that are easily missed... although I think the most useful thing here 'add to building' is pretty new, don't even think I saw it in the beta!
Stumbled over these, first tutorial videos I've actually come across. I'm finding them quite useful.
+mullet82 awesome! Glad they helped :)
Just bought this gams (late to the party I know) but your tutorials have been so helpful!
VERY Helpful cheers!
Woot woot!!! I had *just* commented about wanting this type of video earlier. Sub'd, thumbed, and notifications added!!
Awesome! Welcome aboard :)
Man, I'm so glad I watched your videos before getting into the game.
Thanks for the brilliant tutorials, don't think I'd be able to play planet coaster without them.
Love your tutorials man! So helpful. And has anyone ever told you that you sound so much like Professor Brian Cox?? I would take that as a compliment!
this is the most helpful tutorial for planet coaster!! love it!

I did notice that afterwards, a 2m wide wall would be so useful for problems like this!
Seriously SO helpful. Thank you very much for all your hard work you've put into these videos :)
Thanks for great ideas!
Cheers mate, appreciate the video. Clean and concise, and great quality. Thanks!
Hey mate, thanks for watching :)
Big help!! Thank you so much!
Finaly someone who can explain it normaly :) Thx Geekism!!
Fantastic tutorial, couldn't get to grips with the system but have been able to put some together and some useful keyboard shortcuts thanks.
Glad you found it useful Gary!
Dude these vids are top :) I'm amazed you don't have more subs man :( keep up the good work with the vids :)
He JUST started. He will get them subs! Great Video!

Thank you! 4 years after this comment was made and you helped me get that dang wall in place!😅

I love your channel. It's my new favorite!
Im hopefully doing a live stream later this week (which will be uploaded afterwards) to celebrate 1k subs. This will be a challenge mode I think :)
Awesome tutorial pal. Thank you very much!!
Thanks for watching :)
Very well done. Thanks Geekism
Thanks!
New subscriber here. Using your guides I aim to build a good park. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome! Welcome aboard :)
hey uhh when i go into walls i only have 1 wall? like nothing else but 1 wall, no roofs ect
Thank you so much
Fantastic!
+grymmjack Thanks :)
I am still completely unclear on how to copy something on the same axis (for instance when he lines up the two windows on different surfaces). Any help would be great! I must be missing something.
+Jason Scott select and item and press CTRL + X
How did you make them smaller or into the building???
I can't use the custom building pieces in the challenge mode, is this normal and what can I do about it?
Awesome!

I want to know why some building parts won’t get onto right spot!! Its annoys me
Which version this is?

+Pauli 'O'nassus I think somewhere, the is an 'autostack' option that you need to turn off :)
Geekism cheers but my sister told me. I need to press shift to lower it into place.
When it's stuck to the floor how do u flip it so it stands up? Lol hope that made sense.
Psychodelic Kitten that would be by using advanced move, you can use this by either using some of the settings or pressing x
@@thrillworks1497 thanks u 😁
Slightly odd comment I know but you are blessed with a pleasant sounding voice- I'm jealous! Fantastic tutorial, liked and subscribed.
here from the livestream plug =P
+CrzyCrg it worked! Haha, thanks for joining me in the stream, it was super fun :)
glad you enjoyed it! looking forward to the next one!
Why after watching three videos do I hear your voice sounding more and more like a character from Family Guy. 🤔👍😂 Thanks for the videos!
Not sure if that's a good thing or..... lol
OMG it´s so unfair you only have a couple of thousands subs. You make incredible videos! I learn so much :)
(And will copy my new knowledge to my danish chanel ;) )
The channel is growing nicely :) Thanks for watching!
Anyone else here after they removed RCT3 from Steam? 😂😭

Am I the only one really confused about the meters here? O.o I mean a normal person is around 1.80m ... how can a thing be 4 meters high when a person just barely can stand inside it O.o?
'How we Brits say it'
You mean how every country except the US says it?
Well yeah, pretty much!
Took me too long to realise this was not a roblox tutorial.
Is there a bb. Moveobjects cheat in planet Coaster just like in the sims? 😂😂💔
You don't need one. All items can go anywhere
@@Geekism I don’t see that, mostly they won’t stick where I want them to be!! Specially roof parts 😭😵💫
