Your comment on music coming to us rather than belonging to us was very wise. Always appreciate being able to start my morning with your videos. Take care!
My Sunday night? Was good Dereck, I saw Dave holland , Chris Potter , and Zakir Hussain play a set live at Sfjazz. Dave holland doing his residency here, this weekend.
sipping coffee with you this morning. glad adrienne and floyd will visit soon!! thankfully i don't have many memories of those jam sessions. too many uncomfortable things happened during those years that i chose to forget. no regrets just chose to clear those events. looking forward to pics and vids from you guys' visit. be well
Hello Dereck, I watched the Snuffy Waldon documentary too. I was a big fan of Stray Dog back in the day. The first album is excellent hard rock album but the 2nd album was ok. After Stray Dog he joined Eric Burdon Band for a bit along with Aalon another fantastic guitarist. I saw the Sex Pistols at Cain's Ballroom Tulsa Oklahoma January 1978. Great show! Enjoy your channel and your music! Been watching for over 10 years. Saw Bloodrock as well 1972 with Cactus with Peter French on vocals and Potliguor opening the show at Theater Tulsa. Have a good one! Cheers
I agree with being considerate to neighbours. I wish that if people are going to have a party, perhaps ask your neighbour if they need to sleep for work or such. I do not wish to curtail fun. I would say that we all hear music in our own way.I try not to trash other people's choice, but I do have my own likes and dislikes.
Cheers Dereck👋🏻….the (last night) fireworks rattled me I wasn’t ready for it lol … Memorial Day is a Hollow Day to me, I remember friends and family who were lost in the Vietnam war, when the draft was still in force, and these people were not soldier worth, and now I pray that their new existence is better…peace to you and your family all the days…🙏🏻✨☮️✊🏻
Reading about mathematicians, some of the biggest mathematic geniuses of history, is instructive when it comes to music how you're talking about it. So often you read about them banging their head against a seemingly impossible problem that no one before them has ever solved and suddenly it strikes them, comes to them in a dream or in a flash of inspiration they can't explain. Sometimes the solution comes before the way to get there, and they have to work their way back from this dream-like intuition! If even math can be like that, best believe creativity is!
Hey Derek, heard an album yesterday and thought it would be one to mention, Impala Syndrome 👍🏻 late 60s rare album I was lucky to find a reissue of recently, wondered your thoughts on it?
Love a couple of those Bloodrock LP covers, fantastic! That’s a cool first concert -

We've just had Prime minister Rishi Sunak propose compulsory National Service in the U.K. Any way for these desperate Politian's to cling to power.
I never saw the Sex Pistols. Or iron butterfly.❤
✌️
Just a side note here, I have many things going on in my world, and unfortunately I’m not always around YT….take care keep on keeping on ✊🏻☮️
I'm always glad to hear from you.
