Great vid i have MTX2 V2 great pole, a little heavy, never dare to use the short kit for carp lol, before edge would you go back on longer line if closer went silly
Hi, great video from matrix again but I have to say I was a bit disappointed in the remarks regarding the MTX2 V2. Came across as the pole is only suitable for short range fishing. I have the MTX2 V2 and the mtx3 v2 and I use the MTX2 V2 for most of my commercial match fishing, great pole to use at full length, add a short 3 and it's brilliant, OK not a true 14.5m with the short 3 but super responsive, I even have a 16m mtx3 section that I use up the back of it and still fully fishable. Give your poles a bit more credit in the videos as I think for performance and value nothing can touch them. Oh, by the way the mtx3 v2 is incredible 😊.
Wasn't really what I was trying to put across mate, I completely agree with you, I've used the mtx2 fishing shallow all day at full length for big carp myself.
@@bentownsendangling3486 Jonny Arthur also uses his MTX2 alot he was using it the other day long across on the Map Pole masters at Puddle qualified also. I have the V1 Mtx2 it was a game changer bought a second hand mtx3 V1 for £580 great pole IMO. Im at Float Fish on Sunday im going to do exactly as in this video.
I bought an MTX3(2nd hand) and sadly smashed my No4, my own fault, as was fishing the margin. Previously , I had carp to 17lb, but in open water. I'm surprised to see Ben using 18 elastic in a 12 rated top But it's a very informative video, cheers Ben and I'm going to try this at Decoy & Rookery this weekend(using a different pole, as No4 sent off to be fixed)😢
All the tutorials I’ve seen with Ben in are class. Quality and spot on the way he puts them across. Thanks for sharing. #moreBenTownsend
I’ve been lucky enough to have had a day with Ben and I learnt so much from him, a real class act. Thanks Ben and Matrix for doing these
great vid ben very informative , showing rigs etc , just what's needed
I like the 'slow the peg down' theory. 👍🏻

Had I been in a match/pleasure session I'd have definitely stayed on the shorter meat line mate, it was perfect so no real need to change
Line from the back of the spade ??👀😎
Must have had a slippage mate
Is someone trying to sell a few MTX2’s🤔
Ben what marker/paint do you use to black your float tip out?
Just a standard black marker mate.
I buy each of my floats in 3 colours, Red, Yellow & Black

Out of interest, would you use 16-18 in a regular length match kit too?
No, I'd always use a power kit
Who tied the hooks? 😂
Me, not like that though!
Must have slipped round somehow, my bad
