FYI, AMPV is NOT a turretless Bradley. Two very different platforms with different capabilities. AMPV can take quite the hit with a full level armor kit. Even better than a Bradley despite the Bradley already being tough.
AMPV is based on the Bradley, the two are nearly indistinguishable besides the bigger capacity in the back for troops and gear, they literally have the same armor and everything
@@yeahmonkey8595 Hull is based but larger and different. It is also new not refurbished like some think. Also, I don't think the armor is identical. They have made advancments in materials.
@@rickjames18 yeah, they have made advancements but that doesn’t mean they changed it, there is no reason to really change the armor much because it can already stop older Russian 30mm APDS or AP rounds which is all they really have right now,
@@yeahmonkey8595 That is true but they did say they made changes to the protection package. That would mean composite armor, passive/active systems, etc. I can't say for sure. The hull is different.
Two huge things .... finally picking up the advances that Sweden/Finland have known about for years (the NEMO 120mm mortar turret and the wheeled 155mm Archer). One of the massive costs the Army has run into year after year is ignoring (in a way) what our allies are doing and spending vast sums in research/development trying to reinvent the wheel when it hasn't been necessary. Secondly, putting a ATGW on the up-gunned Stryker. Finally, our mid-weight infantry (dragoon) units will have a fighting chance against the swarms of Russian/Chinese armor they may end up encountering. 30mm is a solid weapon, but it will not do what a Javelin or Spike can. Now .... if they can just find a company that can build barracks that won't become infested by mold within 3 years or who's AC units won't break down during the hottest parts of the Georgia summer.
I love the way that a British company has grown globally and is a mainstay of refitting and upgrading for the American army as well as many other defence systems missiles aircraft it’s become huge
The Archers is long running radio soap on BBC Radio 4, which started in 1950, much more lethal at short range, probably is against the Geneva Convention.
Not suggesting the Archer is bad but it's ironic he talks about the on the move shooting with the mortar system right next to the Archer when the RCH 155 is a wheeled howitzer that can shoot on the move as well.
Pfft... Archer is basically UFO , compared with anything that russia currently has , and I'm not even worry that they can produce something similar in the future, sonny boy Jim!

So you have this new turret called the: ''Rafael Samson MK II 30mm turret''. And it's capable of carrying two ATGM's internally/inside the turret; which can be extended upwards. And then you somehow end up mounting an armored box on the rear of the turret with two extendable ATGM's inside.. Very odd, why not have these be extendable from inside the turret as it is designed to be?
This actually makes me confident that the Army and the USMC are moving in the right direction. Distributed, proven platforms that can be dropped off on an island and tele-operated from anywhere in the world.
Not sure why they're advertising that 30mm cannon, when BAE Systems, with the French and German partners, are finalizing a 40mm --- the socalled CT40 cannon --- with new cannon mechanics and new explosive shells they say to be 4 times more powerful than a regular 30mm cannon... with the CT40 cannon to be fitted on the Ajax & other similar French/German light armored vehicles. It's stupid for giant defense BAE Systems to be, again, showing how good/modern this 30mm is, when the company is working on a much more powerful & revolutionary cannon on top of a Bradley like vehicle for the French, German, and British military... ruclips.net/video/SKKWujqscrQ/видео.html

The M113 is a deathtrap. Hard pass. It has zero features that would deal with the changes in combat for the last 60 years. It was garbage in 1961 and still is. The Exposed Javalin on the side has me laughing, they are putting modern systems in a 1960s pick up truck (battle wagon) That is insulting. I see the issue here they are putting new tech on lacking platforms even the RCV with the drone launcher is lame. It is over kill for the task. Drone vehicle should be a armored disposable vehicle heavily armed to hit the enemy suiciding into place soldier should not go. Not a stand off weapon system. Stryker is not resistant enough to madern weapons. The turret system is sweet though especially with a 30mm and ATGM that is shelters from the elements and fragmentation. Rouge platform with Nemisis seems like a great idea but how do you no fry the electronics package with missile firing over them? So many other cool things there where is the video on them?
