- For what early access has to offer, it's worth trying, especially with its different scenario objectives, ranging from peaceful to outright domination and difficulty sliders to customize your experience.
Whether or not it caters to others' expectations and offers this sweeping medieval playground or a peaceful city-builder that makes you ponder each decision carefully, Manor Lords is an all-around solid title. Albeit one that needs more time to grow, yet equipped with its own charm and engaging gameplay loop right out of the gate.

To be reasonable it's basically one guy making this entire game. It's definitely one of the most ambitious and coolest games I've ever played.

I agree, I can see one or two playthroughs being very entertaining, but after that I don't see it having too much replay value, which means we would need regular updates to keep people like me coming back, but with one developer, consistent updates with new content are unlikely.
That's fine.... It's what 30 dollars? We don't need unlimited content for a game. Shit we don't need any additional I'd the game is good

Thanks for the video. Was on the fence between Manor Lords and another city builder game..Manor Lords looks like a good base but not enough for me at the moment. Can't wait to see this game further down the road though!
This game is addictive, but it needs some UI updates asap. You need more information about what is going on in your village. There also needs to be some more diplomacy, and fortifications that you can assign men to to create a seige situation. If you are going to send a company of soldiers that's going to get there before I even get a harvest in and have more than 30 families, I need protection lol.
I agree completely regarding UI. It's annyoing having to search for that missing family in every building because no drop down is available to tell you.

@@foxtrottin7458 I hope for updates, but also it took 7 years to make this, so I don't have a lot of expectations. $29.99 wasn't terrible cost, it's a cool game, I just don't know how far they will take it. Fingers crossed!
@@foxtrottin7458 interestingly enough, I ended up with four farmhouses and 32 families and 4 oxen caring for like 5 small fields and two big ones, and it seems like with oxen they don't even finish the harvest. I also think the one month harvest season is a pretty small window. I'm going to try a harvest with no oxen assigned and see how that plays out.
Can't go wrong with some slavic magic.

Looks alright but still missing too much content and polish. 6-7 seems like a fair score.

this game is very overrated imho. It's basically the skeleton of a game. Granted, it's one developer but damn the depth does just not hold up.
And the price tag is way over over top for this content.. if it would be 10-15 okey.. but 30 is way to much for 10-15 hrs content

The hype around is is mind blowing. It looks good and definitely is promising but what you get right now is just very expensive tech demo with so many key features missing or broken. Very premature early access release. If this was released by any other company there would be such a huge backlash but here somehow influencers managed to create so many fanboys defending their deam game that any reasonable criticism is quickly silenced. Problem is nearly nobody reviews the current content and state of the game but rather their dreamed/promised "if everything goes well" game but that is very far from what we can play or rather try now.

Its pretty simple.
Just watch a couple of guide videos.
Once you understand what the game wants you to do in what order and you learn to stay on top of a couple numbers its the easiest thing in the world.
You just need to do your homework first or else you dont know why things keep falling apart

multiplayer city building games are hard thats why they tend to be single player.
This game is totally overrated. It brings nothing new in gameplay. It has worse economy and gameplay than similar Ostriv, Father's Frontiers and worse battle than Total war games. This game brings nothing new for those who like play economy games.

Sad state of affairs when gamers are hyped(and overhype) about early access games with missing features that should be in the game day 1. Early access is just a way to capitalize off of gamers FOMO and novelty bias. In my opinion I believe this game is just the "flavor of the month" and will be forgotten about(except for the outrage of staying in perpetual early access) soon. This comment my humble opinion.

I love Early access games! As things are added you feel like you in the middle of it all. Little updates seem HUGE!Also, you can make suggestions that i have seen used SO many times. A lot of people like this also.
