Meet The Woman Who Hired Princess Diana As A Nanny Before She Married Charles

  • Before she became the People's Princess, Diana worked as a nanny. Her salary was $5 an hour. Back in 1980, Mary Robertson was an American businesswoman living in London and she needed a nanny for her toddler son, Patrick. She called a local agency and 18-year-old Diana showed up for an interview. Mary had no idea the shy and quiet Diana was actually Lady Diana Spencer, an aristocrat from one of England's oldest families. #InsideEdition

But Cinderella had her fairy tale come true & lived happily ever after with her prince whilst Diana spent most of her adult life searching for love & happiness but couldn't find them and her prince's heart belonged to someone else...though they do resemble one another in some aspects.

Judging by your comments you probably never knew that era. She was beautiful, shy and sexy too. At least I felt that way about her. A child crush of mine. She participated in massive humanitarian programs. She represented england more than the royal family was. She was treated as a dignitary literally by everyone from poltics, entertainment industry, art etc... Plus the tabloids were on her 24/7. There were no issues that were not having her cover picture weekly. Crazy charles found a way to cheat on her. He treated very poorly. Guess who he cheated on her with? His current wife. Anyways that's past the prime. Beautiful "english rose". Beautiful and sexy. 20 years has past since her passing it seems like it was yesterday. "The queen of hearts" is a decent title to represent what she was to people while she was alive.

It broke my heart when she said Diana would send letters that said “please visit” and that they weren’t taken seriously. I can relate to someone who is so lonely and constantly reaching out to old friends, nobody ever says yes. I find a kindred spirit in Diana. She just wanted some company.

Fun fact. I was 17 when I was visiting London from india. My family had links to the relatives of lord Mountbatten who was the last viceroy of india. I was touring Buckingham palace when I encountered princess Diana with Prince Harry and his brother. I was recognised by her as she knew who my family was. She asked me how was London and offered me tea . That was one of my best moments in life. I remember so vividly. Of course, the queen was at Windsor castle.
Princess Diana was gorgeous and she was so soft spoken and kind to outsiders. I will never forget that day in my life
