I was reading up on Daryl's House, he said most of the band or and singers he invites, they are really nervous about performing this way, then 2 minutes into the song, they relax and the magic happens, it is so cool.
Emmy quality television. I love eating Sunday night dinner with my family, and watching this show afterwards. It is very family friendly edifying television.
Bob Marley's signature version of this is so imprinted on me that I didn't think anyone else could do justice to this classic song. I am happy that I was wrong, this is as heartfelt , impassioned and soulful as I would have hoped for. Awesome!
Too bad Bob Marley died before the Daryl House videos started. Would have preferred watching a reaction video to the true reggae legend and not a cover of the song. This was Bob Marleys first U.S. hit. Will never be a better version than his. I can appreciate a cover of the song but a reaction video needs the original artist version first. imho.
Another stunning version of a classic track ..., Bob knew how to write classic songs with meanings and a hook that had you singing it for the rest of the day .. if not the week ! Love these reactions as you never know who is going to be the next guest ...!!!!
Thanks for the heart man. I know your request list is a long one but I think Sweet will change your life. I love it that much. I used to work security for Veterans' Memorial in Columbus back in the late 70's early 80's saw tons of acts. Rock and Gospel. Sweet takes it to church.
I love that the performers discussed the chord progressions before they played. Wyclef Jean is fabulous. My favorite cut off Sanatana's "Supernatural" album is "Maria, Maria", which was produced by Wyclef Jean & Jerry Duplessis.
Hey Jamal many blessings to you and wifey and both of your families! I can’t believe you’re almost at 1Mil Subs! Live from Daryls house is pretty awesome! I hope you do more 🥰👍
Ooh ooh ooh, I LOVE this song! I'm accustomed to the Bob Marley version, but this is a great update, a wonderful combination of past and present. Thanks, always does my heart good to hear this one.
Another fine video from Daryl's house. I wish he would take the house on tour with his top 10 friends and due two songs each and have a huge jam at the end. Wouldn't that be cool
Listening to this and rockin out to it kinda reminded me of a little bar I used to go to in Seal Beach (just north of Huntington Beach for those who don't know southern California) back in the 80s. Back then there was a contingent of rasti boys living in Seal Beach and of course the usual surfer dudes. On Sunday evenings there would be both rasta bands and surf bands playing and sometimes they would sit in on each others songs. Some of the surfer dudes always joined in on this song. Amazing little hole in the wall that showed how two very different cultures were joined by music. Don't know how that would play these days but it was a cool place to dance back then.
Damn Brother! You charge my batteries with Light, in these dark times. I love Wyclef and the Fugees, too. But this song, at this point in time, was exactly the ray of sunshine I needed. You post a lot, I can't keep up with everything you post, and work through your backlog, but I'll be looking closer at these Live from Daryl's House videos, 'cause this was amazing!
You are correct, Jamel. Brian Dunne (Drummer) is a total badass! Locks down a groove so tight! Plays any style you want with any level of 'busyness' you want. He is Hall and Oates tour drummer as well.
I remember driving past a theater where Wyclef had a date. The person I was with didn't understand what the big deal was. A lot of people just don't understand exactly how good he is.
Fantastic! Taking a moment to ask you to please react to Bee Gees R&B/soul classic "Fanny Be Tender," and then "Closer than Close" twenty years later in their One Night Live performance from Las Vegas. Shows how they never stopped creating amazing music.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news if you haven't heard Jerry Jeff Walker, a country singer-songwriter known for penning the hit "Mr. Bojangles," has died. He was 78.
@@ivanpfreely8628 I would suggest starting with the original songwriters version and then checking out nitty gritty and Sammy Davis since I think his was the most popular. Actually I would change that and I would do Sammy Davis and then end on Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
Oh man, that's sad. My brother used to do a pretty neat version and I loved hearing him play . I used to do the singing. Happy memories but I feel so sad that we have lost Jerry Jeff Walker. May he RIP
David King. Sorry to hear about that. Jerry Jeff Walker I believe started with the 60’s band “Circus Maximus”. There is one song they did called “The Wind”. Check it out on RUclips. Great song.
There's a Daryl's House episode which features Mayer Hawthorne. Hawthorne looked at the time like a twentysomething Milhouse from the Simpsons but well, his voice is something else!
Lots of great songs today Jamal. This one, it’s a classic. Reminds me of sitting outside on the deck of this little restaurant in Dewey Beach listening to the Island Boys play their reggae music, drinking cold beer and eating grilled fish. Sweet.
While I can appreciate the Fugees cover of this song & Wyclefs (Fugees) performance in this session, this video broke my heart a bit. IMHO, Bob Marley should have gotten the love & honor he deserves on the channel for this iconic song. No one does it better. I love hearing covers, don't get me wrong. But I would have preferred to watch the official video or anyone of Bobs live performances first. I know I'm going to get blasted but I just believe what I believe. Been a fan of the Daryls House series for about 9 years. Look forward to seeing more of these.
You should do Marley's Redemption Song from the Eruption album. Or, Johnny Was from... I'm forgetting the name of that album, the mind is the first to go, but it's really great as well.

Wyclef at Daryl's House... "Ready or Not" is dope!
"Live From Daryl's House" is better than anything on TV today.
The hapiness vibes of that drummer gets me everytime. If you want to know what pure, near ecstasy, looks like, he's the one living this on each take.
I was reading up on Daryl's House, he said most of the band or and singers he invites, they are really nervous about performing this way, then 2 minutes into the song, they relax and the magic happens, it is so cool.
Some kind of benign earth energy there, methinks.
I like the little warm up...like they are just fine tuning & then they're all in sync 30 seconds later. Amazing!
As a Jamaican for the past 63 years I am an authority on this song...one of the best versions of this great Marley song. Nice job.
This is such a classic song. Beautiful rendition!❤
Music, Unity, Friendship and love.... I believe this is what Heaven will be like! Just Love and Unity
I love this song. Really don't hear it too often. They are all so professional at Darryl S House...Simply Amazing! ❤❤thx J
Wycleff's voice touches my soul every time...I absolutely love it

Someone has to be incredible to play at The House! Thank you Jamel and absolutely no one had more energy on stage than Mr Bob Marley

Sweet Live from Daryl's House with Todd Rundgren channeling Marvin Gaye is an little known gem.
Thanks for the heart man. I know your request list is a long one but I think Sweet will change your life. I love it that much. I used to work security for Veterans' Memorial in Columbus back in the late 70's early 80's saw tons of acts. Rock and Gospel. Sweet takes it to church.
Thomas any song from those sessions blow me away! Bennie G and the rose tattoo rocks out. Later
The drummer's name is Brian Dunne. The fact that he is up in Daryl's House speaks for itself. Next to Daryl, he is my favorite in the band.
I love that the performers discussed the chord progressions before they played. Wyclef Jean is fabulous. My favorite cut off Sanatana's "Supernatural" album is "Maria, Maria", which was produced by Wyclef Jean & Jerry Duplessis.
One of my favorites from Daryl's House

Always loved his version but love it even more now. Wyclef is a Godfather, a Boss.
Ooh ooh ooh, I LOVE this song! I'm accustomed to the Bob Marley version, but this is a great update, a wonderful combination of past and present. Thanks, always does my heart good to hear this one.
I love watching Daryl House, Great like minds think alike.👍🏼
Thanks for reacting to this. I’ve always loved this song and I think this is now my favourite version.
One of my favorite Marley songs. What I appreciate is the diversity of the music performed in the house. I had to update the comment. That was wicked!
Another fine video from Daryl's house. I wish he would take the house on tour with his top 10 friends and due two songs each and have a huge jam at the end. Wouldn't that be cool
Great selection last night. People love Bob Marley where I'm from. He played a concert one time in our local football grounds, Dalymount Park.
Another Solid Gold!!! So fun to see your reactions, and THIS time...love hearing you sing along!!! Every Daryls House is sooooooo gooooood.
There is a wealth of music and entertaining performances to enjoy! This is a very good one!!!!😎
Nice One Jamel. I've only heard the Bob Marley version of this song. I'm digging this version. Thanks for sharing. Take care. Stay safe.
I had forgotten that the Fugees had covered this song. Very close to their version.
@@johncampbell756 Interesting. I'll definitely have to check their version out. Thanks. Take care. And Stay safe.
@@MrDesertdogg69 You're welcome. You too.
Same here! It was nice to hear this version.
I just love wyclef Jean amazing artist
Thanks for all you do 🏴Love from Scotland😀
LOVE this song!! ♥️🥰♥️ Love all the back & forth at the beginning 🎸🎤♥️
Todd Rundgren doing WANT OF A NAIL at Live at Daryl’s House is a fantastic rocker!❤️
That was awesome...peace and love ... Montreal Canada

That drummer...Brian Dunne...Dude creates a beautiful pocket and follows it up with tight fills.
I agree, that drummer kicks ass!
Glad you played this. Glad I helped introduce you to Daryl's House. Awesome!
Please see Wyclef and Daryl taking on "Rich Girl" it is exquisite. Plus hoverboard!
To Cool ... How can any one question how good we our together
Love these productions and this song, oh my!
This is excellent! One of my favorite Bob Marley songs. It's my first time seeing this clip. I've discovered some great music watching your videos.
I watch a lot of these clips but didn't see this one till now really enjoyed this
Loved it! Never heard Wyclef doing this before!
Hi Jamel, love this song, best wishes from Ireland 💙
The whole episode is great !
I remember driving past a theater where Wyclef had a date. The person I was with didn't understand what the big deal was. A lot of people just don't understand exactly how good he is.
What a way to pay respect to a amazing song
My favorite Marley song of all time.
Happy to see you're a fan of Wyclef, too.
I wore out his
"The Eleftic" album.
You should have had your wife on for this one... You said she liked reggae and this is a good one!
No woman no cry
Allright Jamel! Now we're talkin' a Bob Marley classic.
Fantastic!

Oh man. We got the jackpot! I love Wyclef
You've got to check out Live at Daryl's House with the O'Jays!
He already has!
That was just a straight up concentrated good time.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news if you haven't heard
Jerry Jeff Walker, a country singer-songwriter known for penning the hit "Mr. Bojangles," has died. He was 78.
But do we want Jamel to react to which version? Nitty Gritty Dirt Band? Sammy Davis Jr?

Love the original, love this one too! Thanks for introducing it to me. Love your positivity and joy. Love from Sydney Australia xx
Wyclef sounds incredible.
It just doesn't get any better than this!
God I love this song.

I love this song!
"BOB MARLEY" for reaction jamal, the originator so many soulful reggae songs.peace jamal ; )

''Ready or Not'' and ''Gone till November'' are even better.. Wyclef at Daryl's House..Please react asap !
William DeVaughn - 'Be Thankful For What You Got' (1974 LP version)
I really enjoyed this!!! Thank you!!! Loving Darrell's House!!! ✌
the original lyric was, "...the government court in Trenchtown..." Trenchtown was a notorious slum in Kingston Jamaica
Changing the lyrics changes this song. Not good in my opinion.
Wyclef one of the most underrated singers of all time...
Thank you! 🙏🙏🙏💚💚💚🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪
"Somebody Like YOU" ! LFDH ! Joe Walsh jamming, Daryl sanging...
You had me at Daryl's House...add Wycliff...whew!
Do yourself a big favor and react to Live at Daryls House "Send Me" and "Rich Girl" with the Dirty Heads. Soooooo Good!
This was a fantastic episode
While I can appreciate the Fugees cover of this song & Wyclefs (Fugees) performance in this session, this video broke my heart a bit. Jamel, you definitely got to get into some Todd Rundgren from Daryl's House. The Last Ride is great.
Great cover! Does the original justice plus!
Deelite - Groove is in the Heart. Put your dancing on.
This is a Banger!! So so good!!
Made me Happy 😊
Wyclef is the shiz...Fugees or solo, sooooooooo much good music.
Listen to Wyclef's "The Carnival" from start to finish~ might change your life.
I was indifferent to hip hop and rap until Wyclef's "The Carnival". Then I became a fan. Great album.
Ed Van Halen asked Daryl to join Van Halen when David Lee Roth left. Imagine.
You should do Marley's Redemption Song from the Eruption album. Or, Johnny Was from... I'm forgetting the name of that album, the mind is the first to go, but it's really great as well.
Johnny Was , Rastaman Vibrations
Rastaman Vibrations
It’s wonderful and funny how the chords remind me of Skynyrd!
Excellent version.
Live from Daryl's house is my #2 favorite RUclips channel...right after brother Jamel's
Beautiful
Try giving Bob Dylan a listen one of the greatest singer songwriters of all time knocking on heaven doors is one of my favorites
Royal Thunder- April Showers great bluesy rock band with an amazing female vocalist. Gonna keep commenting this until it happens. Love the channel
