When I first saw the car drive by on the street, I thought it was an Aston Martin with that badge. The design definitely fooled me, and it looks amazing
some 15y back when I was working for a car company Hyundai cars was a joke for us. Now they are right at the top with German and Japan OEM... amazing. Thanks Thomas for hands down best car reviews
This car just blows me away. I think the design is quite handsome inside and out. It's certainly a quantum leap forward compared to the previous version. Having said this, much about this car says "follower". No diesel? No hybrid? No smaller displacement? No LED headlights? Leather only? A little bit of a substandard steering wheel? Two different badges front and rear?? (It really should be Genesis badges only) I think this car was aimed directly at America with Europe as a after thought. Funny though, the E class has a 4 cylinder diesel available over here, the a6 has a 2L turbo 252hp and 3L 240hp diesel (my personal choice) and the 5 series has a diesel and a 4 cylinder petrol. But as you pointed out, this car is 15k or more cheaper than it's competition. Imagine when they offer alternatives to the v6 and v8 and they offer sport suspension etc?
+kevin n So true! It took Lexus and Infiniti some time to fine tune their products. I'm willing to bet the third generation will surpass the Japanese and be right on the tails of the German makes. Not sure where you live, but some dealers in the US are picking Genesis up with flat bed trucks (just like the Equuis) for simple service, while leaving behind loan cars. Once the service is complete, they drop the car off where ever you are (work, home, gym). The two different badges is bad, I agree. Dealers can replace the H logo with the Genesis wings for a few hundred (something you shouldn't have to pay for). My thoughts on why Hyundai hasn't created a luxury badge is the risk. World economy isn't in the right place to make such a drastic change. I've seen some dealers cleaning up, making the showroom more upscale and the service departments more customer friendly (new seating, Keurig coffees/teas/cocoa, big screen tv's). I agree in that this car was designed for the US. We like our cars big. I'm sure Hyundai could easily fit the Turbo 4 from the Genesis coupe in the sedan. Excellent combination to avoid displacement taxes, but as Thomas has said that a turbo engine will doubtfully do anything for economy, luxuriousness and reliability. One advantage the Turbo 4 would have is at elevation.
+Autogefühl All Genesis' come relatively loaded. You have two option packages on the 3.8 V6 and one on the V8. You drove an "Ultimate Package" model, Thomas. It has every option available for the V6. V8's mostly get under body improvements, such as suspension changes. Thomas, you are very sensible in your choices to review. So many other reviewers would have gone for cars with V8's. A very appreciated difference. No all of us have the money to spend.
+kevin n Have to agree with you. A car with limited trim choice, and an identity crisis. Is it a Hyundai? Is it a Genesis? Does it aim at 5-series or 7-series? Makes you wonder why would anybody get this instead of a Lexus. As an example, 63-65 thousand euros buys a GS450h Executive. A car which does come with premium design, superior interior and that legendary reliability. Speaking of Lexuses, it would be nice to see Thomas do a review on the new IS or even a GS.
***** consider this, when BMW hired its first chief American designer that took its toll on the brand. The BMWs . started to look like Buick and Cadillac. This is why Chris Bangal was so hated!
Car Looks very German too......when I First saw it in NY streets I though..Wow, that's the Grill that Lexus needed to cause severe damage to Mercedes Benz.
hello to you from the USA, it was great to hear your opinion on the Genesis, personally I like a big heavy car with a soft suspension, I like luxury what can I say.
What some people do not understand is that no motor company have monopoly on technology anymore. They get impressed on names that have been around for a long time. This car is far more beautify than BMW, Mercedes and Lexus combine, and have no doubt that its quality and materials are the same. Only Rolls Royce and Bentley are still doing things by hand, but those cars are only for week end rides.
V6 in the US comes in a base, signature package, tech package, and Ultimate package either as a RWD or AWD H-TRAC i agree, i wish the steering wheel was built a little better, just doesn't feel that good in my hands. V8 comes either standard or ultimate package and only RWD Great review, but you didn't show the rest of the tech package (lane keep assist, start/stop cruise control, etc) also, you can purchase a rear trunk badge for like $10 USD and replace the flying H on the back yourself, don't have to pay the dealer Hyundai could place a hybrid (sonata hybrid) or a diesel (most of the models only sold in Korea) as they have developed both of those technologies but they're probably saving it for later versions?
Best review of the Genesis anywhere on RUclips. IMO. Well done. Very thorough and clear. Agree with everything the reviewer said. One interesting point about that "interesting" analogy clock. It works off the system time and will actually change when you drive into a different time zone. Pretty neat, but not the most appealing time piece. Also the headlights are directional as well. It also seems now that Genesis will be its own make branch like Lexus. No more split personality. Congrats on a great review.
Thomas! I consider you to be the best auto journalist on the internet and I thoroughly enjoy all of your reviews, which is very informative, entertaining and free from bias or BS. However, why do you hate natural leather so much? I laugh whenever you call leather 'animal skin'. That is so raw, man. lol!
I think it's nice looking car. The interior cabin looks very classy and upscale. The dash, center console and material looks fantastic. I wouldn't have thought it's Hyundai from the inside.
Another long, great and detailed review, thanks to all Autogefühl team & Thomas. I really not like 3 or 4 mins short reviews. And I see you are not a brand fan and love all kind cars and your reviews are objective / impartial ; this very great feature and appreciated by so many people and me. Waiting forward to see the Renault Talisman and new Megane review. And if it is possible , could you tell the average fuel consumption of the cars that you measured during the tests ?
+Erdem Deniz Thanks! We always tell the avarage fuel consumption, this time it was just hard as the long term fuel-o-meter didnt work properly. But as I said you can drive this car from 10 - 15 l / 100 km. Renault Talisman has been shot yesterday at IAA ! :)
Fantastic review and great work putting out new reviews so frequently. However, in some of the shots the whites are overexposed and the camera loses focus. These videos would be even better if these slight issues were fixed.Keep up the great work!
Great review of a great car! Really happy to see the Hyundai/Kia catch up so fast to the premium Germans and Lexus. Three things that would make this an almost perfect car (second only to a Model S): - Hatchback like e.g. in the A7 or Superb for more practicality and space - Smaller engine (option) with considerable less consumption - Consistent branding - get rid of the Hyundai logo on the trunk or have it everywhere, currently it looks like they just forgot switching out the H for the Genesis logo.
I have this car in the US and it's really one of the best cars I've ever had. It is so feature-packed. The sound system is the same one that they use in Bentley. Wonderful value for money!
As always, a very detailed and comprehensive review. A piece of advice: next time you’re reviewing the rear seats, and you’re attempting to show the head room, sit behind the front passenger seat after you set it to your length, and then shoot the video from behind the driver’s seat. That way, we get a panoramic view of the rear seat the way it’s occupied, especially the headroom availability for someone as tall as you.
Thomas, back in 2006, I was looking to buy a new car and checked out the Hyundai range, but found the steering wheel covering was decidedly slippery under my hands and this fact actually put me off buying one. I later settled on a VW Polo and found it an exceptional vehicle, both in comfort on a long trip and very economical to run. My present car is a Nissan X-Trail, which is fine, but the seats are not kind on extended journeys. Love your presentations in bringing us all the latest models, and especially the new Mercedes-Benz S coupe`. That will definitely be on my shopping list in my dreams, lol. Anyhow, look forward to more of your reviews, cheers, David H....
Excellent review as usual. I really can't wait to hear what you think of the coming GV80. I will say my VW vinyl seats make me sweat like no animal skin ever has.
I know that this car was designed for the US market where fuel is cheap and details on steering wheels do not matter. But still... I don't understand Hyundai that they could not find a more efficient engine (hybrid?) solution for lower fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions. That would make the car far cheaper to buy. Maybe they could invest the price difference in air suspension with sport mode and a better steering wheel. If so, this would be almost the perfect car.
+RR redaxis In my country it is, because of the tax system. For example the 8 cylinder Ford Mustang is more than twice the price of the 4 cylinder turbo Mustang.
+Ronald de Rooij Same deal here. Cars with high emissions (and well, petrol/diesel cars in general) are taxed hard. But I'm betting they'll get around to something more efficient eventually, thanks to states like California and/or if they get more popular in Europe
+Ronald de Rooij It has several mode settings he did not mention. There is eco for better fuel consumption and a sport mode, as well as snow and normal. The suspension is air suspension that is controlled according to road condition, speed and mode. I fail to see his problem with the steering wheel. I had a quick look at Mercedes, and I don't like the use of silver plastic on the wheel that gave a 'boy racer' impression.
Very objective and thorough review. It's interesting to note the differences in market perception between the US, where leather is required for premium and Europe and other locations, where other options are considered more premium. I would also be interested to see your thoughts on the 5.0 Ultimate model with the adjustable suspension, which does tighten things up a bit.
This level of attention you give to the details .. it`s just crazy, very nice !! About the car, 65 K EUR and no diesel car ... I`m afraid they will not get a big share of the market with that.
Good Review ! I'm not sure if you get the 5.0 L engine ,but some reviewers think its a better option ,but only option is rear wheel drive. I agree with most of your views on this vehicle. I do appreciate the interior , but think they should of included the option of Apple CarPlay or android auto , as they do on the sonata .The MPG is a minus , but for the money in its class a good advantage. Overall i very Nice Vehicle. Thanks Joe
+TechExplorer Up front, the expense is low for a Genesis. But the longer you own in and the more fuel you burn, the Genesis gets closer to a European car. One factor not mentioned is reliability. I've done little to no research on Hyundai Genesis, but I have on the 5-series and E-Klasse. Both of which need more service the older they get and it's expensive. Would be interesting to get a German perspective on the reliabilty of a German and Japanese luxury car.
In the U.S. I don't think all of the Genesis cars have real leather. However, I almost disagree that it's a disappointment to use real cow-hides. Instead of wasting the hide from the cows slaughtered for meat, they can be put to use. Besides, an S-Class uses MANY cows for an interior, haha. Leather doesn't make me hot or uncomfortable (especially with ventilated seats), but the fake leather you see with VW, BMW, and MB-Tex is really sticky and gets hot much faster.
+MrCarGuy20 Well leather is not a byproduct of the meat industry, google and youtube that and you ll find plenty of proof. You cannot buy leather anymore if you care about other living beings just a little bit
+Autogefühl Your Bentley test drive must have bothered you. 16 bulls from northern Italy were sacrificed for one car. Leather on the seats, doors, dashboard, edge trim on the floor mats and trunk handles.
+Autogefühl Leather is a byproduct of simple economics. There will always be demand from (wealthier) people willing to pay for the product. However, no one can stop me from buying used vehicles with leather when they depreciate. Current synthetic tech doesn't allow material to match the luxury of, say, leather in an S-Class. We will get there eventually though. Killing cows for trade has happened for thousands of years (and no they usually don't waste the meat off them...).
MrCarGuy20 Most cars in America use leather...much of which is low grade quality. Top grain, not full grain. Would most notice if V-Tex were substituted, I doubt it. Not sure about meat loss, but I'm betting it ends up in a hamburger at McDonald's.
Thomas, thank you for fulfilling my request! Logos are trying to differentiate from Hyundai. The rear H logo can be replaced for a few hundred Euros. The front profile reminds me of Audi, the side Infiniti and the rear Infiniti. The interior is all Hyundai.
+Autogefühl Much cheaper than I thought... USA: www.hyundaishop.com/hyundai-genesis-wing-trunk-emblem-f039.aspx Amazon: www.amazon.com/Genesis-Sedan-Wing-Trunk-Emblem/dp/B007Z1FSKO I don't see why you'd not be able to get it. It looks to be affixed with sticky tape. Easily removed with a hair dryer and some dental floss.
+Autogefühl It's been a while since your review, but where would you place the Genesis ride quality and interior comfort? In between any German makes (Audi A6, BMW 5-Series, Mercedes Benz E-Classe) or maybe more of a Lexus LS460?
In US, some owners paid extra for a change of badges to remove all Hyundai signs and instead put on the newer winged badge on front, rear and wheels... similar to MINI and Astin Martin. Latest redesign is starting to find its own style where first generation was a dull E class imitation . Rumors in US are that Hyundai is about to branch off the Genesis line into it's own brand- separate facilities-- with the sport coupe, Genesis, Equus and perhaps even another car coming soon. HTrac all wheel drive is actually sourced from same company that supplies VW 4Motion gear!
It has been branched separately for a little while now, they will be releasing a line of 2017 Genesis G models G90 will be the equus and G80 will be the genesis, the G80 will be the same body type and style as the latest 16 Hyundai genesis. So your best bet is to invest in a 2016 Hyundai Genesis and essentially you have a 2017 Genesis G80 for a cheaper price tag
There's no taking anything from anyone I believe. It's just what the market desires, so inevitably things will be similar compared to other cars in the class. If you did anything drastically different it'd alienate customers of the class because they'd expect particular things to be done in similar ways.
+Emeka Iheanacho yes indeed. Very good price/performance ratio! Only flaw is the steering wheel imho as I said and also there is no genuine leather alternative available, at least in Germany
This is proof that everyone makes good cars today. And we pay just a logo . If this car has BMW logo everyone would say oooo well done very good car, the best. This way people is going to say: It's just Hyundai. Thank you Thomas for this NICE review 👍
You folks in Europe are getting somewhat fleeced by Hyundai for this car. Here in the USA the Genesis 3.8L AWD with all of the available option packages is $53,000. That's equivalent to 48,500 Euros. But you're paying 65,000 Euros for the same car in Germany. That's unfortunate. We can also get the 5.0L 420-hp V-8 Ultimate model for $55,000, or just over 50,000 Euros, though the V-8 is only available in rear-wheel-drive configuration.
I think now that BMW / Mercedes, Maserati / Alfa and Jaguar have set the bar in terms of modern design, we can obviously expect to see other manufactures catch up eventually and with the recent Volvo S90 and now this from Hyundai, i think we're seeing just that still, credit to those former cars for doing it 1st, it matters!
Excellent review, as usual! Two things bother me about this otherwise attractive car. Firstly, depreciation, it might be a premium product but Hyundai is hardly a premium marque so depreciation will be sharp especially in the first three years. Secondly, the same model in the USA sells for $55,000.00 or approx €50,000.00. Why are we asked to pay 15% more for the same model in Europe?
65,000 Euro! Wow, that is expensive. Is this including some sort of German VAT tax or not? The exact same car in the USA minus any taxes sells for $52,450 or only 46,375 Euro. We also can get a V8 option for only about $3000 more.
+Yippie Including VAT yes, we always give VAT included prices. Very interesting, is the trim level in this case already high? Because our version here is top trim level. In comparison to E-Class etc. it is still very cheap over here if you take the same trim.
+Autogefühl The top of the line Genesis here retails for $55K in the US (before regional taxes, which will be about 6.5 percent). You do get a couple of features that the US doesn't get however, such as the 360 camera and the rear-seat console controls.
This car you can only compare only with Škoda Superb. That's all.I know you are very professional man. But please can you say how do you feel after driving Mercedes E class and Audi A 6 ?
Thomas, you complain that the seats in the car are leather but your shoes and belt are also leather. Plus you are German so you eat Schweinshaxe with your beer don't you? :) Just poking a little fun. Nice review as always.
+Yippie Great that you liked the review. Indeed I used to buy leather in cars, shoes and belts - as I didnt know better. Now as I got to know how much suffering is involved for animals, humans and the environment with the production of leather and that it is NOT just a byproduct of the meat industry and big time funds an industry that is relying on murder, I will never buy leather products again. It's just that I help noone by throwing away my old stuff - but I do with acting different further on as a customer. Thanks for asking, you know this subject is really important to me - not _for_ me, but for every cow and pig that could possibly be saved. I dont eat any typical German food by the way besides of bread :) And Sauerkraut, but you can also do a typical Sauerkraut without meat, even with a great Tofu stuff etc.
+Autogefühl Thomas, I commend you on your choice. I on the other hand have a very hard time to give up meat and do eat it sometimes. I actually love traditional German foods. My mother is from Germany :). But I often substitute meat for non-meat products such as vegetables, tofu, mock duck, and black beans. I do agree with you fully about leather seats for cars. In this day and age, with advanced man made materials, there is just no need for them anymore and it saves animals. Cheers!
Hyundai Genesis Sedan 3.8L. Starts at around 39,000 USD and fully loaded it costs around 52,000 USD. There is also a 5.0L engine option that tops out at around 56,000 USD
Thank you for the rewiew. I have this car as work auto. The same color. It's big and hevy car. It's specialy good driving on the roads with not perfect cover.
+Ivan Medvedev thanks! Interesting to hear that, yeah the suspension is rather soft and filters a lot, good for uncomfortable roads, just not good for high speeds
+Autogefühl Yes, it's too soft for sport driving. But as I understand the car is made for those who sit behind. So I think the comfort driving was in priority. Like a yacht))
This must be preproduction car, especially given the Hyundai logo is not present in the recently launched Genesis. Also the stiffening bar in the engine bay is natural aluminum, no black, in the production car.

So do you see, I´m having problems to trade the car we have now a Toyota Avensis SW. I have tried so many cars I can´t even remember all. Thanks, I' will continue to see your videos, I'm seing now the one from the Seat Alhambra, looks like a good choice. Keep on the good work.
+Luis Miguel Luna Pais sounds like you should go for SUV or Van then to have good head space in the rear! Got plenty of those reviews, check in the video description our SUV and Van Playlists!
The quality and interior style looks like Volkswagen, but not on par with the other germans. I like the exterior, but the interior looks dated and not premium. Nowhere near the new mercedes E-class or Volvo S90. Must be a good car for the price, but again, it does not threaten the status quo.
Hyundai have come so far so quickly. Imagine what they'll be making in ten years. Fantastic review, as always, Thomas.

I really enjoy your reviews Thomas. Such attention to detail. Have never seen anyone examine the thickness of a car window! Well done. Thank you

Mercedes copies from BMW and vice versa. This car is beautiful period. It is probably more reliable than any German car.
Your not wrong there, the number of Mercedes cars I see broken down at the side of the road is shocking
+Omer Yehezkely Hyundai, Kia and Volvo have german Designers now...
+musclerent stop with the lies ... Mercedes cars are now very reliable
Wanna see pics of my G55 AMG
Not only can Genesis do premium, in a year or two it'll be the best premium car on the market. And with better handling than BMW.

hyundai's head designer is one of BMW's former designers and he was at BMW for 18 years so this explains the design!

V6 in the US comes in a base, signature package, tech package, and Ultimate package either as a RWD or AWD H-TRAC
i agree, i wish the steering wheel was built a little better, just doesn't feel that good in my hands.
V8 comes either standard or ultimate package and only RWD
Great review, but you didn't show the rest of the tech package (lane keep assist, start/stop cruise control, etc)
also, you can purchase a rear trunk badge for like $10 USD and replace the flying H on the back yourself, don't have to pay the dealer
Hyundai could place a hybrid (sonata hybrid) or a diesel (most of the models only sold in Korea) as they have developed both of those technologies but they're probably saving it for later versions?

Waiting forward to see the Renault Talisman and new Megane review.
And if it is possible , could you tell the average fuel consumption of the cars that you measured during the tests ?
+Erdem Deniz Thanks! We always tell the avarage fuel consumption, this time it was just hard as the long term fuel-o-meter didnt work properly. But as I said you can drive this car from 10 - 15 l / 100 km. Renault Talisman has been shot yesterday at IAA ! :)
+Autogefühl Thank you very much for answer and news about shot :)
Fantastic review and great work putting out new reviews so frequently. However, in some of the shots the whites are overexposed and the camera loses focus. These videos would be even better if these slight issues were fixed.Keep up the great work!
+sylphz thanks we wll keep building
I have one as a loner for a week now and I love this car!!!!!
Great review of a great car! Really happy to see the Hyundai/Kia catch up so fast to the premium Germans and Lexus.
Three things that would make this an almost perfect car (second only to a Model S):
- Hatchback like e.g. in the A7 or Superb for more practicality and space
- Smaller engine (option) with considerable less consumption
- Consistent branding - get rid of the Hyundai logo on the trunk or have it everywhere, currently it looks like they just forgot switching out the H for the Genesis logo.
+Hans Olo yeah good ideas!
I have this car in the US and it's really one of the best cars I've ever had. It is so feature-packed. The sound system is the same one that they use in Bentley. Wonderful value for money!
+Ron Aaron nice feedback thanks!
Wow, they used Naim? :o
Thomas, another excellent review!
+james mccool appreciated m8
As always, a very detailed and comprehensive review.
A piece of advice: next time you’re reviewing the rear seats, and you’re attempting to show the head room, sit behind the front passenger seat after you set it to your length, and then shoot the video from behind the driver’s seat. That way, we get a panoramic view of the rear seat the way it’s occupied, especially the headroom availability for someone as tall as you.
nice design, nice style nice finishing, v.good price...and of course nice review...
+Fadi Lafi thanks!
A Genuine review from a Frank German...Very nicely done car...well done Hyundai Genesis.
+Permenus nyatete thanks m8 !
Love this guy.
+pleasedontstalkme thx m8 =)
A Great Review. I want to subscribe to your channel. Wunderbar!
+SimpsonPark thanks, enjoy more of our reviews !
The fact I can get it right awake at night is the year and I don't think that I don't have the right way too many times I've
The headlights and hood just scream 7 series :)
l like your way in reviewing the car, the details all is organised.

+Zoom Zoom we can always use the support!
Awesome review! Thank you.
+GerryStilton thanks gerry!
Fantastic review and a great looking car well done Hyundi
+unions100 thanks !
peter schreyer the former audi designer designed the car in addition hyundai also bought out the former bmw design team.
And also the best commentator
+unions100 appreciated =)
Great Car and well presented episode as usual. thanks thomas.
+jetcrazy777 🤘🎬
Thank you for a wonderfully informative video. I am a busy professional and your video will save me the time of shopping all over the city.
+David Hamilton thanks man!
I love my 2015 Genesis 3.8 H... A very smooth riding head turner !
hi guys. will you make video about "Frankfurt Motor Show 2015"? it'll be awesome!
Yes with addition attention on mercedes amg c63 s coupe and edition 1. Not some short video of 30sec but rather 3-5 min.
+Andrei Popov we re on it right now! We ll deliver a lot of highlights for you!
+Marko Pehar we ll do that
*****
cool
"Standard equipment" as opposed to "serial equipment" Thomas. Keep up the good work.
+devi1ish thanks!
Does resemble the 5 series from the side..
+Amel H indeed
+Autogefühl Thomas, how close to the 5-Series did they get.
Thank you Thomas & Team very much for this review. are you planning to review the Kia Quoris? Please let me know - thanks!
+Nassim Abed Thanks! Oh never heard of that Model - think its not available in Germany :/
Quoris, also known as K9, is Kia's luxury sedan designed to compete with the Audi A8
+Nassim Abed yes indeed, heard that K9 is available in the US, not in Germany so far
Great job on the review, very detailed, thanks for doing this.
PS you're a good-looking guy.
Excellent review as usual. I really can't wait to hear what you think of the coming GV80. I will say my VW vinyl seats make me sweat like no animal skin ever has.
Weird mixture of premium and not so premium. Video reminded me on Hyundai XG30 which my uncle had some years ago.
+g00dfeeling Yes, it's confusing.
No mention of the sun roof. How much airflow disturbance when open? Otherwise great review.
looks like the steering wheel is scraped at 26:28.
+Ronald de Rooij lower fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions ≠ far cheaper to buy
Nice job, thank you.
+Sean Hoffman thanks!
I love the rear design :-)
@Autogefühl
Please do review 2020 Genesis G90. Thanx
Are the rear seats powered?
This level of attention you give to the details .. it`s just crazy, very nice !! About the car, 65 K EUR and no diesel car ... I`m afraid they will not get a big share of the market with that.
+Razvan Andrei always love to read ur comments!
Thanks
Joe
+TechExplorer thanks for the feedback!
Still come when the Hyundai standard 5 year warranty?
+Paul Leggett Yes, in the US anyway.
+Ed Pawlowski And the UK
+gbriank1 you re welcome m8 :) Interesting hint with that rear logo - not sure if thats also offered here in Germany
+Autogefühl Much cheaper than I thought...
USA: www.hyundaishop.com/hyundai-genesis-wing-trunk-emblem-f039.aspx
Amazon: www.amazon.com/Genesis-Sedan-Wing-Trunk-Emblem/dp/B007Z1FSKO
I don't see why you'd not be able to get it. It looks to be affixed with sticky tape. Easily removed with a hair dryer and some dental floss.
+gbriank1 :)
+Autogefühl It's been a while since your review, but where would you place the Genesis ride quality and interior comfort? In between any German makes (Audi A6, BMW 5-Series, Mercedes Benz E-Classe) or maybe more of a Lexus LS460?
bump...
I love it! will try and test drive
HTrac all wheel drive is actually sourced from same company that supplies VW 4Motion gear!
yes they want to invest in Genesis to make it a very own brand!
Interesting!
Thomas is this a good car.... did you like it
+Emeka Iheanacho yes indeed. Very good price/performance ratio! Only flaw is the steering wheel imho as I said and also there is no genuine leather alternative available, at least in Germany
Thanks Thomas...
This is proof that everyone makes good cars today. And we pay just a logo . If this car has BMW logo everyone would say oooo well done very good car, the best. This way people is going to say: It's just Hyundai. Thank you Thomas for this NICE review 👍
thanks m8 !
+Jeff Puha yes indeed, a lot of cars are very very expensive here in comparison to the US :/
Beautiful car. I just wish the handling was a little more sporty as opposed to full on luxury.
I need your opinion between a range rover svr and a jaguar f pace which you think is better choice
Did you watch both reviews?
FPACE: ruclips.net/video/EVEhYhmFG74/видео.html
RRS: ruclips.net/video/R0NoLDASluM/видео.html
I did watch both I like the jaguar but when I saw the review for range rover svr am caught between a tough decision
To me the RRS seems to be the better car, even though I love Jaguar styling
Ok thank you very great reviews again I was thinking about RRS
Definitely infinity at the back ! :)
I think now that BMW / Mercedes, Maserati / Alfa and Jaguar have set the bar in terms of modern design, we can obviously expect to see other manufactures catch up eventually and with the recent Volvo S90 and now this from Hyundai, i think we're seeing just that
still, credit to those former cars for doing it 1st, it matters!
superb vehicle from hyundai. Hope this car comes to India.
+Sven Dahm Vielen Dank, sehr interessantes Feedback! Das bestätigt auch unsere Einschätzung. Viel Spaß mit deinem Genesis!
It is a nice cheap alternative to a luxury car.
+TheMister Mann cars are cheaper in the US in general ... with every brand. Thanks for the feedback!
just bought this car!
German's don't fear this. Its a beautiful car, but at the end of the day its a Hyundai. People will pay a premium just for an Audi or BMW badge.
Not only can Genesis do premium, in a year or two it'll be the best premium car on the market. And with better handling than BMW.
can you review the new Hunydai i30 Turbo?
+gam0r1 hey, we ll try to do that thanks!
But please can you say how do you feel after driving Mercedes E class
and Audi A 6 ?
Check our full reviews of those!
+Autogefühl
Thomas, I commend you on your choice. Cheers!
+Yippie Thanks, its great to hear that you care!
Der deutsche Akzent fetzt 😎
how much does it cost and what's the car full name?
Hyundai Genesis Sedan 3.8L. Starts at around 39,000 USD and fully loaded it costs around 52,000 USD. There is also a 5.0L engine option that tops out at around 56,000 USD
+TheShale187 thanks m8 ✌✌
the genesis makes sense anyway, just that.
Does the 2018 TATA safari storm looks like something else?????????
It looks cool compare to other hyundais i've seen
Hey guys, what's better MINI COOPER S OR AUDI S1?
+faris s Audi S1. Far better interior quality
thank you 🌹
+Raied S thx aswell!
Nice .... looks like a peugeot 508 and bmw 5 series had a baby
+Ivan Medvedev indeed
This must be preproduction car, especially given the Hyundai logo is not present in the recently launched Genesis. Also the stiffening bar in the engine bay is natural aluminum, no black, in the production car.
+Mike K Might have something todo with the European version?
Genesis had been refreshed with that ' ugly' clock replaced by something more traditional classy
gone are the days when hyundai meant a dishwasher on wheels!!!
A lot of car videos but not a i10 or i20..

the logo looks like Aston Martin
Sorry but how tall are you?
+Luis Miguel Luna Pais 1.86 meters
Thanks :-) I', now looking for a car but i have a small problem, I'm 1.93 tall and my sun has 12 years old and he is 1.91 m tall!
4:20 is like nissan sentra
that's suck!!! it has a great refutation on airbag issue on collision
The quality and interior style looks like Volkswagen, but not on par with the other germans. I like the exterior, but the interior looks dated and not premium. Nowhere near the new mercedes E-class or Volvo S90. Must be a good car for the price, but again, it does not threaten the status quo.
