The 2015 Hyundai Genesis is selling like by the thousands here in LA. A lot of high/middle class people are buying this car, and most of them are coming from BMWs and Audis. The AWD transmission on this car is amazing and the handling is on the heavy side, makes the driver feel confident on highways. And the 3.8L V6 is certainly one of the most powerful in this segment, making it a very satisfying driving experience.
UltimateDriver I live in NYC and I bought the 2015 Hyundai Genesis 3.8L V6 2 weeks ago and this is the best car I've bought so far. My previous car was the 2006 BMW 530i and that says something.
UltimateDriver The 2015 Hyundai Genesis is built like a tank and looks very attractive. And Yeah I'm seeing a lot of the new Genesis on the streets lately.
I just got a 2015awd 3 weeks ago, 71k miles, 1 owner, for 14k before tax and extended warranty… I love it, absolutely love it, I will update once it hits 100k
News Flash !!! Not everyone and rarely anyone carves corners. Most buyers drive their cars to the office, around town and back home. Relax with the sports sedan antics. Great review and the exterior color really look good.
It's a great car! My 2015 3.8 AWD with signature and tech packages is doing just fine. It only has 44K miles, so many more to go! And it was only $25K at 3 years old (original price $49K). Don't let the haters and car snobs influence your car purchase (5 series with comparable options was over $70K)! BTW, I did have a 5 series back in 2010, while it was sportier, it was not more comfortable, nor did it offer any of the awesome features that the Genesis does!
I’m a bmw enthusiast but I have to give a tip of the hat to how far Hyundai has come just wow and for the price. I’ll garage my e34 m5 and my e85 z4m. And gladly buy this genesis . Hopefully in my garage by the end of this year. Very nice car great price and I know Hyundai is reliable my mother owned a few nice reliable cars . Nothing bad to say here .
Just got mine. Sweet ride, man. Best car I've ever owned. Couldn't believe the value for the price. From the side, it looks like a BMW 5 series. From the front, it looks like a Bentley or AM. Super fast. Super quiet. Super tech'd out. Super niiiice! If you're considering a MB or BMW, look at this one first. I went in for a test drive, drove out with the car.
I drove the 5.0, this thing really moves. Now I'm on the fence between the Q70s and this car; one feature that I love that this car has that the Q70 doesn't is the Panoramic roof. No one should compare this car to the Honda Accord, Acura TL, Toyota Camry, Ford Taurus, nor Chevy Impala no competition.
+J Silver I have 2012 m37 and i test drove the new genesis and it's a beautiful, refined, and quite quick on its feet. However, people don't seem to notice it as much as they would the Q70 nor does it sound anything as aggresive as the Q70. Depends what you want. More bang for your money or better sound and the snub factor?
Well, for few reasons. 1) Price difference 2) warranty 3) refinement. Q70 would run you additional 10-15 k not to mention the interior is updated not redesigned and the same for exterior. Hyundai is a much better value. However, like I said, the badge is not the same nor the sound.
Absolutely beautiful luxury saloon. Amazing how the dashboard and overall interior design has been completely changed from the first generation Genesis.
Hyundai is not one of the best car makers in the market at the moment, obviously. However, when you have a look at the history of their rapid growth in the global auto market for the last decade, you will be surprised. There's neither everlasting winners nor everlasting losers in a market. Just 20 years ago, who would think that Samsung and LG would make better electronic gadgets than Japanese electronic companies? Hyundai is definitely stepping forward and doing what they need to do to go up to the next level. No matter what haters grumble about Hyundai cars on youtube video 24/7, Hyundai is doing a good job and the market has responded. Well, closed-minded haters will always be closed-minded haters though.
My dad has a 2015 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 with Htrac AWD with the Empire State Gray with the Ivory interior and his is the top of the line Ultimate Package he loves it. He got it in Dec the week before Christmas!!
I currently own a 2001 Hyundai Grandeur, it used to be luxury back in its day, but dear god, I'm drooling looking at the Genesis, the blue with the white leather and real wood interior. om nom nom nom
heeeeey we had one too (but in Canada here it's called an XG300/XG350 depending the engine size). Man we kept that car from 2003 to 2013, drove it to 225000kms and honestly had 0 issues with it, and then we got a 2009 genesis 3.8 in 2013 and it now has 102000kms on it and she has had no issues. Cheers!
The 2015 Hyundai Genesis is on par with BMW 5 series and other German luxury cars within this price range and far superior than anything Lexus or Infiniti makes. Hyundai is far technologically superior than any other car manufacturer out there. Hyundai makes jet engines for Lockheed Martin and Boeing.
+Korean Pride Hyundai Genesis is a very good car, I pick it over any European brands, however, there is nothing on the market that is par with Lexus in means of quality. European cars are junk i.e. unreliable. The only sad thing about Hyundai and Kia, they are now ran by European engineers and managers. Without doing that Koreans did not have the chance on international market. However, working with Europeans means that Koreans will lose their ownership of that brand in the end. Especially if they want to run things themselves after sometime, Europeans will not allow it. Americans helped Japanese to be self sufficient on their technology, there is no nation that Europeans helped could achieve self-sufficiency by means.
I really like these long review, they are very fural and informative and you show all the details and angles of the cars. Good job! So keep doing them =)
Nice review but the rattling camera on the dash becomes quickly irritating making it seem like it's coming from the car itself. I really like this car from every angle for what it is, looks better than the K9 and the aging Equus yet the latter's next generation is gotta be awesome by all means.
I like the 4 door version of this car but I am waiting for the Genesis Coupe! Hyundai has really come a long way, still have room for improvement but this Genesis could be a formidable competitor.
I went and test drove one of these today. I gotta say I love it! Theres barely any road noise and its really comfortable too. The one i tested tho has the v6 engine thus its a bit laggy but who cares. Ah btw I drive a 2017 Range Rover sport SVR and for some reason, I prefer the Hyundai Genesis a lot haha
How do you like the power output from the car honestly is it mediocre is it good for what it is could it be slightly better what’s your overall opinion also hows the fuel economy in general from your daily experiences
Awesome review Sofyan. I'm really impressed with how #Hyundai was able to make such a vehicle like the Genesis a much more competitive luxury sedan than ever before. In addition, the beneficial technological features, like the lane keeping assist you mentioned & featured at 19:20, including the lane departure warning and forward collision warning should definitely be some of the key points that will help the vehicle sell very well too. - Michael Land
Great review. I was wondering on what type of key-less entry it has. Does it have like a keypad also like some Fords or does one have to use a FOB and as such always carry it with you in your pocket.
Looks nice. The old Genesis sedan took huge hits in depreciation so if this one is anything the like previous generation, I'm looking forward to snagging a loaded certified used model in three years for 30k flat.
One thing about larger wheels, I hear it all the time, bigger is better. Until you gotta replace the tires :). I had 14's, yes 14's, on my 94 Swift GT and my 94 MX-5. Worked great :). Performance tires were reasonable-ish. Bought a Volvo wagon. OWWW!!! 😆
Hyundai came a long way in a short time here in the US that car is beautiful I believe that car can compete with any German or Japanese cars in it's class I think it's better then the German cars good job Hyundai !
First of all they didn't just add some features it a really different car and they didn't jack the price you get a lot of car for the money. Its not going to big a huge seller but people will buy it, heck I did!! Got a loaded AWD.
Hey Sofyan, I have seen your review on a lot of different Acura models. I have a question how does this new Genesis compare with the RLX in terms of reliability, resale value and driving dynamics ? I know the fact that the RLX J35 motor is butter smooth and durable but it comes with front wheel drive and the overall styling is not the best but the Acura logo does offer good value for the long run. The new Genesis seems pretty good so far, only concern if the car would hold up for a long period of time? Thanks
Instead of the K900 which is considerably more, I may go with this really beautiful car next June. It's perfect. Im not a fan of that 4 spoke steering wheel, but the tech on this thing would spoil me way past that.
All black With some Blacked out 20s would be hot. Too many Spokes on those particular wheels. So I might have to go after market on wheels for it to look right. But I wouldn't mind going the extra mile for that.
I think you need to make a video with the Subaru Legacy 2015 and do a test to see if it stops when you are close to a wall with that awesome camera feature
Hyundai is the peoples company as they dont swindle their customers like lexus bmw, cadalic, etc. Hyundai offers the same performance, quality without the ludicrous price tag.
It's like the Lexus LS400 back in the early '90s. A masterpiece of engineering. Only downside is the rather thirsty gasoline consumption but who cares. I am saving this car for the to buy list until the kids are out of the house so I can really enjoy it.
Anyone else notice there are are 5 or 6 of fake profiles on here just keep spamming the same comments trying to boots Hyundai's reputation. Honestly and i think everyone else can see this too. A car companies reputation is earned and its sad that they are obviously paying people to spam on you tube videos about their cars. Please stop this Hyundai it makes you look bad. Not to say the car company hasn't earned a much better reputation in recent years. This kind of thing is not necessary: "Hyundai is the cutting edge in terms of technology. For the same price, Hyundai cars beat Toyota, Ford and Nissan.", "The Hyundai Genesis is definitely better value than all other cars in the same price range. The Hyundai Genesis' technology even exceeds those cars that are $20K more expensive. Hyundai = advanced tech company", "Hyundai manufactures jet engines and jet engine parts to aerospace companies in Europe and also Lockheed Martin. Hyundai = advanced tech company. " Same repetitive comments from the same people. its just so obvious. That kind of behavior is not normal. AND the person they hired to do the positive comments was too laze to change the text in some of the comments. "Hyundai = advanced tech company" yeah spam that a few more times. Jeeze. How dense do you think people are.
I'm so gonna by this car.I live in NYC ,do I need awd or rwd will be fine with snow tires?I used to own a BMW 330i rwd only that used to be very good with snow tires.
Hyundai and Kia are making good reliable cars that are well made. I think their styling is still a bit lacking but you rarely hear a complaint about these cars. After sales service is great if you ever need it and service costs reasonable. They need a range of vehicles with 3 plus tonne tow rating for those of us that tow and a proper 4wd with ute variant. Hope they build them soon, l know l will be lining up.
It's competitors may have led running lights but those cars are mercedes, bmws & lexus's and I'd say the ford fusion's grill is more like the aston martin, this grill is it's own.
Front: BMW, Mercedes and Audi look alike Rear: Lexus GS tail light design Side: Ford Fusion Interior: Volvo, BMW Driving dynamics and technology: Mercedes S Seriously, this car is like a generic copy of all major luxury brands. No originality whatsoever, but I like it!!
I turned in my lease on a 2013 Lexus GS350F sport went to Hyundai and test drove both the 6 and 8 cylinders and I will be getting a hyundai genesis next both cars felt as good as my Lexus I couldn't believe how nice both cars drove. if you drive it you will buy it but I also own a 2015 SRT. challenger drive the Genesis then give an opinion.
If you haven't got the Genesis yet, just wait. Hyundai is going to be making Genesis it's own luxury brand. Once this starts, the Hyundai Genesis will probably drop in value a lot
That chime is pretty calming to listen to when you start the engine, maybe it's just me :D Overall, Hyundai did a great job, and the only time you'll know it's a Hyundai is through the Hyundai logo badge on the back of the vehicle. Other than that, you won't know, and is just a normal Genesis vehicle.
is the v6 engine enough for everyday driving highway?? I spend 30 minutes a day driving the highway to my job driving 75miles per hour on my honda v6 and it doesnt feel safe, it keeps shaking? can this car handle 75-80 miles smoothly on a highway?
Okay, we are in 2024 now and I would like to know if anyone here has one with higher mileage like 100k+ miles. Have they required very much as far as any major repairs?
Tighten your camera mounts, arrgh! Hard to hear how quiet it was, with that rattling....I like my 1st. gen. Genny 3.8, if this 2nd. gen. is luxury on the softer side, then it is probably ideal for me. After 1 year on our roads in the northeast, I wouldn't mind it a tick softer, but it is far more poised and polished than the Altima 3.5 I owned for the previous 6 years. A big step up for me, and I suspect many midsize owners.
@@az_pit_viper4270I got one 3 weeks ago 15 with 71k miles, only thing I’ve had to replace was a bulb and the fuel door actuator broke but I got a magnet latch to bypass 😂
So about this trunk, what if you're just standing behind your car talking to someone, it's gonna keep on opening while you're standing behind it? But it seems like a cool feature tho.
+Baasil F. It will beep if you're standing somewhere near the hyundai badge. i guess that's the reason why it beeps 3 times in 3 seconds: to remind you that it will open.
+randomdude I could see that feature being annoying for some reason cause it'll still open even if you don't want it to open. I guess you just can't stand behind your trunk lol
+Cyko Mumbles You are the one who needs to read...or just watch the video. He explains that you just stand there for a few seconds with key fob on your person and it opens. DUH.
+Jerry Gilliland I think you are the one that needs to read. That wasn't the point I was trying to make. Read what I commented again before tryna be a wise a**
I got a 2013 Tucson and im pretty surprised by how great the quality is. Been owning it for a year and it has no problem. It is however, still not as good as Volkswagen, but pretty close.
If they hold up well after several years then I'll be convinced. Hyundai has done a great job with their compact cars and SUVs and continue to improve but for a car of this price there has to be some real world testing done here before I can group it with an MB, BMW, Audi or Lexus.
This design has aged so well that it still looks stunning to this day inside & out in 2021
I agree~ even this Hyundai Genesis from 7 years ago still looks fresh and nice to this day~~ I'd definitely get this car ~

Instead of the K900 which is considerably more, I may go with this really beautiful car next June. It's perfect. Im not a fan of that 4 spoke steering wheel, but the tech on this thing would spoil me way past that.
Just black out the rims
All black With some Blacked out 20s would be hot. Too many Spokes on those particular wheels. So I might have to go after market on wheels for it to look right. But I wouldn't mind going the extra mile for that.

It shouldn't be too hard to do, just get some plastidip and spray it.
TheCobruhAlienat0r Plastidip looks cheap.
mouthies3
That's because it is. :p
Certainly the pinnacle of Hyundai.
how bout the Equus?
+Andrew Kim that car looks dated as fuck. the genesis looks 100x better
+Jacob Palmer they're releasing a new Equus next year.
I think you need to make a video with the Subaru Legacy 2015 and do a test to see if it stops when you are close to a wall with that awesome camera feature
It’s such an amazing car
Hyundai is the peoples company as they dont swindle their customers like lexus bmw, cadalic, etc. Hyundai offers the same performance, quality without the ludicrous price tag.
It's like the Lexus LS400 back in the early '90s. A masterpiece of engineering. Only downside is the rather thirsty gasoline consumption but who cares. I am saving this car for the to buy list until the kids are out of the house so I can really enjoy it.
Where are you in this review? That place is nice lol
thanks bro. nice review
If this was the design of the new BMW 5-series or Mercedes E-Class, no one would have a problem with it...except the people who hate BMW and Mercedes.
Thinking about buying the 5.0 version of the 2015 Hyundai Genesis. Just wonder if it's reliable or not.
Same here, would love that V8 engine
@@lt-prezz-unoh6520they say the 3.8 is more reliable so im going with the 3.8 in a few weeks
It's odd that the US version of the Genesis doesn't have LED DRLS's, but the Canadian version does.
PLEASE what is the song at the beginning of the video ?!?????
Anyone else notice there are are 5 or 6 of fake profiles on here just keep spamming the same comments trying to boots Hyundai's reputation. Honestly and i think everyone else can see this too. A car companies reputation is earned and its sad that they are obviously paying people to spam on you tube videos about their cars. Please stop this Hyundai it makes you look bad. Not to say the car company hasn't earned a much better reputation in recent years. This kind of thing is not necessary:
"Hyundai is the cutting edge in terms of technology.
For the same price, Hyundai cars beat Toyota, Ford and Nissan.",
"The Hyundai Genesis is definitely better value than all other cars in the same price range.
Same repetitive comments from the same people. its just so obvious. That kind of behavior is not normal. AND the person they hired to do the positive comments was too laze to change the text in some of the comments. "Hyundai = advanced tech company" yeah spam that a few more times. Jeeze. How dense do you think people are.
Just go drive your Ferrari and STFU... of course if you ever will drive one... you fucking loser.
haha you got owned !!
I'm so gonna by this car.I live in NYC ,do I need awd or rwd will be fine with snow tires?I used to own a BMW 330i rwd only that used to be very good with snow tires.
I really like that start up chime.
alex ballantine gives me the shivers 🥶
Awesome review. Keep it up.
Honda, Nissan, toyota, ford, Chevy all need designers like Hyundai
I reminds of the first Chrysler 300 with the bold look it had, wide nose, wide body car.
Awesome Review Of 2015 Hyundai Genesis. 😁
It's competitors may have led running lights but those cars are mercedes, bmws & lexus's and I'd say the ford fusion's grill is more like the aston martin, this grill is it's own.
Are you going to do a review of the 2015 Hyundai Azera? 😀
Thank you for this, I am looking for a good used car and this helped
Tom Nielsen
Same, you can pick one of these up for less than $20k.
Front: BMW, Mercedes and Audi look alike
Rear: Lexus GS tail light design
Side: Ford Fusion
Interior: Volvo, BMW
Driving dynamics and technology: Mercedes S
Seriously, this car is like a generic copy of all major luxury brands. No originality whatsoever, but I like it!!
Pedro Pedrosoy lol you rage like a 5 year old. Whats with the upper case?
And the logo from aston martin and bentley. However; i like it
Great video, thanks! When will they have an R-spec?
2theRedline Will there be an all new Equus or Azera? I haven't heard much about those 2 cars lately
Which packages have the Heads-Up display? I'm going to start looking for the car around next month. RWD or AWD and less than 100k miles.
I think the ultimate.
+MOPAR2U LOL! you are one BS artist.
If you haven't got the Genesis yet, just wait. Hyundai is going to be making Genesis it's own luxury brand. Once this starts, the Hyundai Genesis will probably drop in value a lot
The gritty engine is attractive
Great review.
3.8 is the best to my knowledge
That chime is pretty calming to listen to when you start the engine, maybe it's just me :D Overall, Hyundai did a great job, and the only time you'll know it's a Hyundai is through the Hyundai logo badge on the back of the vehicle. Other than that, you won't know, and is just a normal Genesis vehicle.
No I do believe their designer worked for AUDI not bmw
Still think so? They've poached from both
Mercedes + Audi = Hyundai Genesis!
So is this a good and reliable first car
is the v6 engine enough for everyday driving highway?? I spend 30 minutes a day driving the highway to my job driving 75miles per hour on my honda v6 and it doesnt feel safe, it keeps shaking? can this car handle 75-80 miles smoothly on a highway?
I don't think you issue it the power of your v6 but rather you have some mechanical issues you need to address.
Maybe you should get your Accord's tires balanced.
can I ask u a ? what the sec thing that back set need in a back set
Does it still have the keyfob charger ?
is the finish really that much worse than Mercedes and BMW?
i have a 2016 kia k900 and its basically the exact same vehicle lol
Okay, we are in 2024 now and I would like to know if anyone here has one with higher mileage like 100k+ miles. Have they required very much as far as any major repairs?
I just bought one , 2015 71k miles, it’s not 100 but close and had one owner serviced every 3 months, I’ll keep you updated but I love it 😊
Go ole Beach Drive, NW... be glad when they open it back up..... thanks for the review.
I’m obsessed with mine!!
How many miles do you have on yours?
@@az_pit_viper4270 130k I bought it with like 110k
@@az_pit_viper4270I got one 3 weeks ago 15 with 71k miles, only thing I’ve had to replace was a bulb and the fuel door actuator broke but I got a magnet latch to bypass 😂
no Hi Def video?
Read what I commented again before tryna be a wise a**
+Baasil F. My comment was not directed at you. Wise up!
Review the 2015 WRX STi!
I got a 2013 Tucson and im pretty surprised by how great the quality is. Been owning it for a year and it has no problem. It is however, still not as good as Volkswagen, but pretty close.
the interior is way better than the last gen which looked super cheap....
If they hold up well after several years then I'll be convinced. Hyundai has done a great job with their compact cars and SUVs and continue to improve but for a car of this price there has to be some real world testing done here before I can group it with an MB, BMW, Audi or Lexus.
