Celebrities keep their babies name very different from the rest so that they can launch products or brands in their names as wolf name was already patent so they decided to changed it as per source..

I experienced kind of same thing in my childhood... My name sounds like a Christian one and i was always asked if I was Christian. I asked my parents why they kept my name like this, they said it was selected from "Olive". Olive leaves crowns were given to the Olympics winners earlier and they wore it with pride. So they choose that name for me with a view that they are proud of me and i will be at the top and respected like the olive crowns were by the winners. So might be Priyanka and Nick had some view or thought about choosing the name for their darling and i dont think we should be someone to judge if the name is good or bad or old fashioned or new.. Because trust me, I was trolled a lot for have a unique and modern name back then. Whatever you do, people will have to say something or other 😅😅😅

Naming a child is a big thing, as the child has to live with it. However, I don't understand what is wrong with Malti? It is a beautiful Indian name. Just because it does not follow the current trend, where sometimes kids don't even know the meaning of their name, does not mean that it is bad. Old styled does not mean bad, it means closer to the roots. Maybe that's what Priyanka wanted for her child.

Maalathi is a beautifulname. It is the name of a flower. In Telugu, one legendary writer's name is Maalathi chandoor whom we call as walking talking encyclopedia. These days, we google everything.
