As a player (currently on October), I wanted to metion play time: early games took about 2 hours for us, later games 3 hours as rule complexity increases and the number of choices we have to make is greater. story repercussions are more detailed. We're able to leave the board and pieces out on our game table, if you can do that instead of boxing it up every time you'll be happier with the setup time.

If you're still here: how long did it take to play the entire game? Since you can only play this once and then never again, pretty much (though 3 Seasons currently exist), I think that you would need at least 10 hours of gameplay for the entire game at £50-70 per Season. Under 10 hours seems too little unless you really loved the game and just wanted something amazing to happen (more so with a group). Of course, you could spend £50 watching a film, buying food, and travel to the movies, and that's only 3 hours at most in total. New video games are £50 and only requires 10 hours for many of them (though you can re-play, etc.). Point is: if Legacy lasts 10 hours or so, then it's 100% worth it, and is no worse than many other things you can do. It just sounds worse because we are used to playing games over and over again, and used to watching a film only once for your ticket price, even though it's like £10 for just 2 hours (that's £50 for 10 hours). I think most people would agree that 10 hours of Pandemic is better than 10 hours of films for the same price (unless solo or hate the game, maybe). To be honest, even solo Legacy sounds fun... but, I would rather make it re-playable. I am sure there are ways to change the game a bit, and make it a long-term Pandemic game that you can re-play, you'd just lose a lot of the Legacy elements, but you could still simulate the months, etc. with in-game mechanics and narrative. (The major problem would be the fact that you would already know everything. Then again, if you re-play a video game or re-watch a film, you also already know everything. And, if it plays anything like normal Pandemic, then no two games will be the same, anyway.)

@@TheClassicWorldit takes at minimum 1 hour for each month. We took 2 hours for the intro. 1.25 hours for the first game. I see a lot of people claiming it takes 1-2 hours per session on average.
There are minimum 13 and max 23 sessions. So that gives you if you rush trough and do everything as fast as possible and win every time 13hours. And if you lose every game and take 2 hours per session 46hours.
I think around 30 hours can be expected.
The idea is not to think:
Can I only play this 13times, but see it as, how many games do you have where you and your team will want to go and play it at least 13times and really will want to play it again another 3 times after already playing 10 times.

Looking forward to playing so much... since I'm going to avoid spoilers, it could be a while before I can watch the other episodes, though!

You get way more than I thought. I'm 50/50 on the whole, 'it's not worth £50 just to play it once'. I mostly disagree. This seems 100% worth it if you love Pandemic and have at least one other person to play it with (though I know solo is also possible). Maybe £100 is not worth it, but £50 seems fine for this Season 0, which is what I plan on buying, though maybe 1 is worth it, too (only around £50, as well). Considering the fact I paid £35 for the normal one, £15 more is fine. You will end up getting equal use out of both, unless you play Pandemic forever. Of course, if you like Pandemic that much, it's worth just re-playing the Legacy version, anyway, I think. (Not to mention all the Expansions, which make the base game closer to the Legacy difficulty and experience, and you can play it over and over again -- though that would then cost around £100 for the base game + Expansions.)

Looking forward to watching the series, since I can never play campaign/legacy games. It looks like you need to get your pandemic legs back under you. First turn for Mel and second for Rob you each cleared 3 agents for 3 actions... getting teams out to do this is better (if I understand the rules correctly) since you need the teams for many other things, and the clean up is done without using your limited actions. Also I am guessing that those two cities would have been safe(ish) until the deck was shuffled back to the top of the deck.

You were instructed to tear up the objective cards, but you skipped over the te text ! (At 2:10:00)
(Unless you don’t count the intro to be a month. Since the game does explain you can reply the into as much as you like)

The thing about legacy is the changes are permanent. Do play other Pandemic Games I'll be watching.
