I love that New Zealand is missing from this map. I envisage my tiny little country at the bottom of the world will be some hidden paradise to be discovered by survivors in some post-apocalyptic pandemic/zombie/nuclear war/climate crisis addled future.
Very fine video, had misunderstood a few things from our as recommended by the manual non legacy test game. And was about to start vandalizing the board.
I'm now wondering if I've been playing wrong the whole time. Whenever we have an Epidemic we've always left the bottom card in the discard pile while shuffling all of the others. I seemed to recall it being noted in the original game rules that it would take a rare (though possible) 2 epidemic cards in a row for it to be possible to cause a just drawn from the bottom city to outbreak. Guess I'll be checking the rules when I get home!
I don't like shuffling the new city card back into the pile because it can easily give you outbreaks before you can even take a single action. I've had a scenario where we lost a game after only a few turns. Basically it was impossible to win because everything was outbreaking in a chain reaction over and over.
With the release of this video, I'm reminded that I STILL don't know what the Super-Loser container does to the game. The fire to know burns, but not too bright to make me google it.
Reina Lavictus no, the game changes , story advances, and the rules changes over a period of 15 games. Play it. It’s well worth it! Only the first game is like the original pandemic with minor tweak
Tried Pandemic (Legacy), played a couple of times and it is to random for me. Just get a bad cards draw and you are screwed - what kind of fun is this? Especially when disease spreads like crazy in an area where you couldn't be and you won't get there on time. And it's not something that happens sometimes. It's thematic but completely kills the game for me. Good it's one time play so I can just throw it away. At least one advantage of legacy style games ;)
Golden Griffon Personally I solo it with 3 characters and worked out great. I think you can do with 2 players too and I imagine that will be easier (difficulty wise) You can try googling this question, I remembered there are plenty of this discussion everywhere
@Golden Griffon I have had my arkham horror for a month now.. Tried playing it once with my girlfriend and sister but they were bored with it. :-( Havent played it for 2 weeks now. And might not be playing it in the near future. Wish I had friends who were more patient.
If you get the Blue Box and the Red Box also it's only to extend the cards and the tokens i.e. no of players for one single game on one single board right ? or am I WRONG in saying this ?
You might be able to house rule that, but in general Pandemic/Legacy caps out at 4 players (excepting some of the expansions which divides players in teams.) There could be some balance / systems issues with having more than 4 players in PL:.
Normal Pandemic with the "On The Brink" expansion caps at 5. The "In the Lab" expansion allows to play with 4 or 6 players divided in two person teams (2 teams if 4 players, 3 teams if 6 players).
We did make a house rule that tweaked the "shared knowledge" rule, which I think everyone should do in a game with less then 4 players. The rule is you can trade cards if you are in the same city as them at a cost of a card an action. Players can't exceed the 7 card limit ever. This didn't break the game in any way as it is still hard to collect 5 cards and get to a research center to cash in those cards to cure the disease.
We did a similar thing, but instead only the researcher could do this, it still preserved the puzzle of the game, but gave the researcher a much more interesting game of flying around to meet up with people to get cures. Very interesting imo.
Question: are the role cards stickers removable and replaceable? Or are they intended to carry forward to future games? Also...same question for the stickers on the board.

New Zealand does come into play in the game, however, which is really cool.
Great how to play, for Standard Pandemic.
Yeah this was 80% standard pandemic

...Make sure you save Paris too !
(Thanks for the rules. Good job. Cheers from France)
Really great to watch!

Sapphire Crook are you talked not about the black stickers Or box whatever it is?
looks like a beefed up version of forbidden island! fun!
The original pandemic is older than forbidden island... It’s where they get the inspiration from!
You say "they" like both games weren't designed by the same person.
Is there a difference between the red box and blue box?
Nothing besides the box art.
@@Brend0ver thanks
I will selectively let London fall.
Is New Zealand not even on the map?!?! WTF!!.... no wait ... thats good, avoid the pandemic haha
Apparently they avoided the real pandemic
Who is playing this game in 2020? :P
The whole world is playing this game in 2020...
It took me 3 years to buy it. It took a pandemic too 🙄
it's absolutely the same as the original Pandemic right?

@@bobdarker519 yes, it is sarcasm
Looks like too much random chance to be overly enjoyed as a legacy game.
Have you played regular pandemic? Luck is involved yes, but plenty of room for tactics and adaptability!
well, well, well,
2020 is calling
One word: *irony*
The event cards can be used even if its the turn of another player?
Correct. As long as another card is not in the middle of resolution you can play an Event.
5:48 What did you call me?!?
When are you going to show me how to play monopoly?
Great video! Brilliantly explained!
If I had friends, I'd love to play this game with them!
You could solo this game no problem

I play all characters by myself, it’s like a video game, but made of cardboard!!

covid 19 brought me here
Very Helpful thank you, Me and my fiance are just about to start our first game :)
Oh shit. It's the dude from People Make Games.

So there's no single winner in Pandemic, either all fail or win...!
ohh there's Manila
