Interesting, I ordered the EcoFlow Delta Pro yesterday + solar panel. After surviving the Texas winter storm without electricity for a week, I needed a cleaner solution than conventional generators.
For portable power, these are awesome and Delta makes some good gear. For storm power, generators are still hard to beat; we keep our vehicles over 1/2 full and have a $150 5KW generator we fixed-up. Fun fact: most newer cars have gas siphon blocks, but your fuel pump can fill a gas can in minutes.
Knowing your loads, using heavier-gauge cords, and testing ahead of time make a large difference in how smoothly things go. During the '21 Feb freeze we were without power for 58h+, but the generator ran the fridges, the (gas) furnace, Keureg, microwave, all the home Internet/phones, and chargers for our (and our neighbors') mobile devices. Not worrying about freezing interior pipes was worth the work!
Your channel always has good content and I appreciate the variety of topics and project depth. Your idea of using the Delta battery box to avoid permits for yard wiring is genius. Works for fans and lights on a deck as well and doesn't count as a property value increase.
I we are talking about emergency usage I feel like testing it with a space heater or a high power water pump
Most of those units don't like inductive loads like toasters, electric motors, etc. at all. Impressive how advanced these Stations have become.
I was looking at these before, your video sold me on it will be getting one in the near future
Great video! That was fun to see the welder running and your backyard setup.
Woah!! Glen another upload so soon?!? you really are spoiling us 🇺🇸 🇬🇧 🤟🏼🤙🏽👍🏼
😅
Definitely the favourite general DIY channel. 👌
My power was knocked out by a severe storm June 30, 2023 until July 4thThis generator kept my A /C ,fridge and a few other appliances going for about 7 hrs before the tank needing to be refilled. It was easy to start, and the manual was easy to follow
This is crazy timing - I started looking for something like this just this morning. This one's out of my budget, but it's a great video as always Glen. :)
yeee, same here 😳😂
Head over to DIY Perks and see if Matt's DIY power station is in your budget instead.
@@DoomRater definitely within my budget but not my skill level haha.
It's good to know that I can easily plug in two more extra batteries with the Delta Max.
Pretty good idea you gave me back there with the Delta Max, with the TV in the backyard. We can watch Monday night football outside and have a party.
Great info, I have been interested in the types of units. Thanks.
You are a very impressive human. Good stuff.
I need this in my life!
Nice review of the Delta Max Power Station. Will be taking a look at it.
Those things are pretty dope. I decided to build my own after doing some research
Really? That's nice, how does it preform for ya? I agree these are pretty dope!
Yes i saw 1 video about this and it seems very good and legit consideration. I have big EGO batteries so i could buy that generator but this looks so smooth. Leaning with the Eco. Will see what you say
Great review. Will check them out
Excellent, *****Five-star review! 😎
I'm sold on the EcoFlow Delta Pro, with 2/160W Panels and their solar tracker.
Would be good for those into saltwater & reef tanks. FB groups were filled with disaster posts earlier this year. :( Great video.
Am new here but you are incredible am getting tired of ideas from you soooo cool
Great Video best so far, we are a older couple , and wish they made one just to teach you slow. Thank you WELL Done
Bro you should do a water curtain for outdoors. I would like to see your take on one.
Thanks for the info. My first thought: upgrade camping to glamping.
Interesting product.
Thanks for this video, because we have been without power in outages for as long as 4 days. We’d want our furnace and REFRIGERATOR
Interesting can you make a video show a cool way to install those solar panel on ground not on the roof?
Amazing videos
Oh man, I wish we'd had this a couple weeks ago when hurricane Ida came thru! We lost power for a week and had to spend do much $$ on a generator and gas
Nice product. Ecoflow
Where did you get the TV stand from that would be great for outdoors backyard movie nite also can you suggest a budget friendly project for backyard movies 🎥 🍿
Can you provide the information on the stand you were using for the TV out on the desk?
Innovative!
Pretty interesting device indeed, Glen! 😃
It can be REALLY useful!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

@@sumiaota3335 Don't worry, I'm a subscriber there as well. 😊
@@MCsCreations cool. I've seen your commeyoften on other channels (Izzy's, Stimpys, I think Wood by Wright, ILTMS, etc. Greetings to you in Brazil. I loved Manaus and Sao Paulo when I did research in the 80s and 90s.
@@sumiaota3335 Oh, sweet! Thank you! 😃
Greetings to you as well! You're in the US, right?
@@MCsCreations north of that country. I'm in Canada, the Great White North.
I wonder portable a/c will able handle the draws? Will it drain battery real fast in few hours ? Bec a/c kept us cool during extremely heat .
Glen you need to build a Solar setup for it.
The TV mounted to a speaker stand is scary and somewhat impressive. I wouldn't trust it at least without it being counter balanced
Well played on using the Delta Max on a washing machine. That's the first time I saw someone using the Delta Max in that way.
Might come in handy when natural disasters causes gas shortages, solar panel is a must
Crikies...bet its tuff for the one who draws your name at Xmas...😂
..omg, you-have-everything👍💜👍
Nice😎
How well does the solar charger work? How long to recharge? I know it will vary, but what did your tests show?
Solar charging on the max works really well. It takes up to 800W of solar input. Like you said recharge time varies, it depends on how much solar wattage is connected, how much sunlight, direction and angle of panels, and how much you need to charge the batteries up.
Hello people! Could you tell me please if Delta-1800W-1260Wh will be suitable to switch on to my heating boiler, during power cuts in Ukraine?
I think to get one but would like to hear some thoughts. Thank you in advance.
Coolbeans! The only socket missing is the one for the funky 3/4 prong washers & dryers. 😏
Wow, do you actually have a 240VAC *washer?* Electric dryers use 240V high-current, but his dryer appears to be a gas dryer, which lives within the 12V, 1800W spec. The high-speed-spin washers save a *lot* of dryer energy w/o using much more washer electricity.
@@jameswyatt1304 No, fortunately at the moment I do not!😉
2 Ecoflow delta pro 4 Delta Pro Expansion Battery Kit test it out
Is the AC pure sine wave? I assume it is judging what you were running on it.
Your refrigerator has a TV on the front?!
What's that accent I kinda hear bro. Great quality video. Hashtag goals.
This looks awesome, but the price seems to be far above the average consumers budget. Do you have some other options you’ve used before this one?
How much does this cost and where can I get this?
6 120volt 20 amp circuits. In an emergency my first thought goes to saving the food. As we have lost power for up to a week recently, charging phones and keeping the food, anything else is un-important except medical.
I strongly agree with you, we have no control over natural disasters. The Delta Max is a must have for every home.
Have you looked at the pricing?
You build a hydraulic tv box that that hides your tv. can you build a portable one for outdoors? Like to give u a Challenge🦹🏾♀️🙇🏾
Matt at DIY Perks used his custom built power bank to run a microwave out of his car. This thing oughta be able to pull the same trick easily, letting you eat hot meals when you're out. Jump the car, use a powerful portable desktop all in one, pretty much anything you can think of that needs power can be used remotely. Might be more practical once the pandemic ends.
Hi, great power buckup unit, I NEED IT .......... HOW DO I BUY ONE, IM IN ZAMBIA, AFRICA.
Do you guys have a takealot in your country I bought it last December
i get power 90-99% of the time but even that 1% when its gone... the stress can become unbearable.. i built my first carbattery powersource setup almost about 8 yrs back but car batteries just poor for job... wht i'd do to get one of those...yeish..
Price?
These units are nice, hi-tech, quiet and great for indoors, but this is not what I wanna be stuck with when I need power. IMO they are glorified phone and laptop power supplies. Maybe great if you’re running a series of them, but how much did you spend to do that? Also how long to charge the main unit and two tandem units from near zero on a solar array? Probably 4 ever. Just get a 3500 watt gas inverter the either tie it to your gas line or have about 30-50 gal available. My man proved it. The video that anything bigger in current draw than a laptop Will cut your time down to less than an hour. Additionally, these things are Flippin expensive! Just get a Honda generator and a bunch of gas and you’re good to go to run whatever you want.
I would wonder if it could charge an electric car?
I'm about to make them fall in love first date

I looked at this from another you-tuber. It's a kickstarter. There is no product you can buy today. It's an investment.
They seem to be giving these power packs away to nearly every RUclipsr....

I don't understand the cigarette lighter port in 2021. They really need to phase that port out.
Exactly!!
Tell you what Kody , you keep eating your chips, pies and ice cream and I'll use the cigarette lighter to fire one up.Enough of the woke shit.!
@@OldDunollieman Was does woke, have to do with a outdated port? lol
But I have a travel fridge in my truck that uses that port. It has that port because not everything is wired up to an outlet plug.
@@xkblxcripple That's doesn't mean the port shouldn't be phased out, and replaced with a standard household plug.
But to be clear on my point, this has more to do with newer accessories still using the port. Only prolonging the usage of the port.
Granted, it starts with vehicle. And I believe some vehicles have stopped using it. And instead, they are using a household style plug, and USB ports. Tho, I have seen a 2021 vehicle still using this port.
The cigarette lighter port probably should of been phased out maybe 10 to 15 years ago. Or whenever, they stopped adding a cigarette lighter mechanism in vehicles. Once there was no longer a cigarette lighter, the port should of been replaced with a household plug. There was no longer a cigarette lighter, so there was no longer a need for a cigarette lighter port.
With this said, I smoked for 25 years. And i've maybe used a car cigarette lighter a handful of times. None of my cars, other than my 73 Ford LTD had a acutely cigarette lighter in it. lol
The port and any accessory that uses it, is just an eyesore. The only thing it really got going for it, is you can easily plug it in, without looking.
.
This is not even available for sale, what is the point of reviewing? I'm missing something here?
Its a review sample, Basically they send him a unit that he can make content from and he puts it through use case scenarios and gets to rip on them if they made a bad product that cant deliver and if he likes it its free advertising/reviewing of a pre production model and you get to see it in action and potentially get influenced.
wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy out of most peoples budget.
There was plenty of sponsored jargon garbage in this video, how is it green or clean…. How, this is different because when you plug it in to the nasty mains network it only chooses power from wind farms or solar panels! It’s using the exact same power it’s claiming to be better than. I like how they redacted anything about the charging time from a solar panel.
I think it’s safe to say I lost a bit of respect for you today, stay true to yourself and your followers and don’t become a “sponsored channel” trying to sell heat resistant mega ice because they’ve paid you
Not gone lie, you lost me with this comment. I literally showed me using the unit with a solar panel! You can charge the unit with both AC and solar. I get ya you lost respect for someone that makes videos for a living. So based on what you are saying never work with sponsors even if I genuinely like their products. I post many none sponsored videos, put the same energy in everything I do. By you logic I should stick building, spend my earnings on making none sponsored videos. Got it
Good video and a really good emergency item to have if your rich.....but at £8000 ($9000) that is a small car 95% of the people or your viewers will not be able to afford this item so its a thumbs down for advertising and almost unsubscribed.....very upset with this video has I expected you building something to house this item but it was just an advertisement
For the capacity, this is waaaaaay overpriced, even at the 39% discount.
No it's not due to the batteries being LiFePo4 and having 3500 life cycles instead of 500 or 800
so this was just an AD? dude this shit is insulting. you shouldve just built a project outdoors with it and incorporate it into your workflow. Maybe made a workshop shed that used the ecoflow for power. Just releasing an AD to us as real content is just shitty.
I'm trying to figure out how I insult you? Were did I miss lead you? It's not that serious bro! You clicked on a video you did not like. I was testing a product. I guess I have no say so on what I post here.
Do you really think we need an English as a second tutorial from you ? Good luck buckwheat !
