This was a PEREFCT Review my friend. Right to the point and I even left it on normal speed. Starting to go hard on my channel this month and I was curious which one I should get / pay for. I think I will go with VID IQ. I also heard a Think Media podcast recently with a guy that works at RUclips that they are gonna have an A/B testing integration coming soon! Much Love!
Hey I'm having trouble with the audience analytics data on RUclips studio. We have over 100 videos and it will not tell us data such as when our viewers watch, what they watch, their recent searches. We used to have this data 4 months ago and now it disappeared 🤷🏾♂️. Would you happen to have any advice for us?
Hey Joseph, thanks for sharing this. I have been wondering which one to choose. Could I use both at the same time to see which one works best for me? I have already bought the annual Pro plan with Tubebuddy a few days ago. Do they have a refund policy?
Great Video. Hey if you might me asking, can you do a review on audio micro, I seen some RUclips use their music for their old videos. And I’m a confused on the licensing for RUclips, like can I only use the track I got for just 1000?
This is a really good informative video. Just wondering, does VIDIQ have a chapter option? I find that it helps my viewers navigate through my videos really well.
Hi, thanks for the useful information! I just started a separate youtube channel and for now it has 2 shorts and 1 long format video. I am already searching for tools that can help me on the long run, but I was wondering when was the right moment to purchase these tools? I suppose the tools won't have much data about my videos especially if they start with low views, so I'm wondering how useful they would be at this point. What would you recommend? Thanks!
Nice! Congrats on the new channel! I actually really like vidIQ for new youtubers because they have a whole new “channel growth plan” with step-by-step guides on how to be successful and the keyword optimization and research tools will of course still be useful no matter the size of your channel. I wouldn’t invest in the service until you’re really committed to trying to make youtube work, but once you decide to go for it, I highly recommend it!
From a fellow (beginner) RUclipsr: Awesome video, although I would have made the intro shorter. I'm sure 15 seconds of that cool VidIQ v/s Tubebuddy fight is surely hemorrhaging quite a few potential viewers. At the very least, I would have started with my hook much earlier in the fight scene as opposed to waiting 15s to do so. Don't get me wrong: the intro is cool to watch, but I'm almost sure many will either skip or abandon the video because of it. It would be interesting to know what your retention graph looks like... Great content, and you just got yourself a new subscriber. P.S: I discovered you from the RUclips home screen, so kudos for that.
Thanks! Yes the intro is a bit of an experiment. I’m keeping an eye on the retention graph, and if it falls, I can always trim off the front! We’ll see
Hey bro nice comparison and ful of details (like from me)👍. Question: in the videos that you have used VidIQ or tubebuddy the results in views, what hours have a significant impact compared to those videos you did not use?
Thank you! This is kinda a hard question to answer because there are TONS of different factors that influence view count- there’s no one magic bullet. What VidIQ and Tubebuddy do is help you optimize all those factors in an efficient and hopefully more effective manner, but also learn how to create more engaging content as a whole. That said, I can’t really directly compare performance on videos I used VidIQ to videos I didn’t, because the sample videos could have completely different view potentials just based on their topic or even publish date.
First of all, THANK YOU for this insightful video. New to YT and just bought VIDIQ even thinking if Tube buddy is better and aiming for at least 500 subs by October! This helped me heavenly and will stick to VIDIQ then. You got a New subscriber here Joseph! Will watch your other vids. Question: What editing app do you use please? Or can you do a video on that? More success to your channel!
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed the video and I wish you best of luck in your youtube journey! I use Davinci Resolve for editing. I have a video coming out a week from now where I compare Davinci and Premiere pro for beginner creators. Stay tuned!
OH SWEET! I'm not the only one who calls them Channelytics. Yeah That's why I feel like Flash Gordon, Flying Blind on a Skycycle Because I need to guess at what My viewers are watching without ANY Help, Not even from The Tube. I don't know why 1 Vid went Viral, and another 1 Tanked, within the same month. So Tubebuddy is Batman And vidIQ is Superman. Not bad for a Channel/Site Based in Vancouver BC, Superman.
Thanks mate. Just what I needed. I think RUclips are introducing A/B testing, so that renders tube buddy useless in that department. Great review, great quality. Well done mate 👊🏼
Learn about how to go full time on RUclips with my new video podcast! www.youtube.com/@CreatorCashPodcast
Neither vidiq nor tubebuddy helps to grow if your content is not engaging and consistent
Absolutely! You need a good foundation 💯
What do you mean by consistent?
What if I am struggling with consistency? Those tool won’t work for my channel?
I agree these tools are not worth your I bought there package hoping for help and such. Only ended up getting burned 👎 bad
Content doesn't need to be consistent
Exactly
They just assist you regarding keyword research

Thank you! Good luck on your youtube journey! An integrated A/B would be AWESOME!
Quick note, not that the feature was announced when this video came out, but ab testing is coming to RUclips in early 2024 I believe

Just found your channel mate. Good stuff. I've seen a few comparison videos now and so far yours was the most helpful.
Thank u! Happy i could help!
Another thing if you don't mind, do you have a video that describes how to use affiliate programs? Or is something that comes with time?
Hey Joseph, thanks for sharing this. I have been wondering which one to choose. Could I use both at the same time to see which one works best for me? I have already bought the annual Pro plan with Tubebuddy a few days ago. Do they have a refund policy?
Sure can! I’m not sure what TubeBuddy’s refund policy is, sorry.

How to add these extensions, I mean I've brand channel. Can I add these extensions to my editor RUclips channel.
There’s a link to download the extensions on their websites. The extension is a browser extension - I use Chrome
This was amazing my friend. The breakdown of everything made it easier to understand and make a decision. Thanks!
Thanks... I think I may switch to VidIQ and try it after my year is up with TubeBuddy.
Cool!
The Video Planning chapter at 4:45 is excellent. Thank you.😀
Glad you liked it!
Really appreciate this comparison! Thanks for doing the work.
Thanks for watching!
Great content! Really good job comparing these 2 tools!
Thank you!
Very helpfl! Thanks!
This is a really good informative video. Just wondering, does VIDIQ have a chapter option? I find that it helps my viewers navigate through my videos really well.
Thanks! They do not have automatic chapters, unfortunately :(

@@JosephMartin I could see that you've already trimmed the intro. Wise move!
Same here!
Which is better for competitive analysis? Age, gender, location, viewing, repetition, retention...
RUclips's built in analytics in creator studio do this best!
Good review and pretty helpful Joseph! Thanks
Thanks for watching!

TUBEBUDDY!
FAZECLIPLISTIC!
I'm vidiq pro user sir
😮
😮
they both lock any useful tools behind paywalls lol
Well yeah I mean… it is a business lol
VidIQ videos are like infomercials
Tube buddy is worthless! I laugh at the title generator they use and most titles sound stupid! I’m done with this stuff.
@tubebuddy sucks!
A bit biased
Not at all! Actually, tubebuddy has a better affiliate program so it would have been biased for me to recommend them over vidIQ
