First, the McLaren 600LT will be upgraded with less restrictive performance exhaust
downpipes. The downpipe is the portion of the exhaust system which connects the exhaust
manifold (or exhaust header) with the muffler. One or more catalytic converters are typically
located in the downpipes. In racing and off-road applications, the catalytic converters can be
removed by simply replacing the factory downpipes with aftermarket performance catless
downpipes. Always check local, federal and state laws before performing this type of
modification on your McLaren 600LT.
