  • British thrift with me, on the South coast of England. Join me in this chatty vlog as I go shopping for pre loved items in more than ten charity stores near me in one day! Visiting a historic village of Wickham and historic town of Alton.
While thrifting I will be looking for home décor, books, stamps, collectables, Moomins and more. What pre loved treasures will I find? Join me for a massive charity shop haul as show you what's in my bag and all the bargains I have found.

    THE EQUIPMENT I USE:
Some of these links may be affiliate links meaning I receive a small payment when the link is clicked on, or when you then buy a product after clicking the link.
MY CAMERA: Canon G7X mark ii amzn.to/3Y7dA9F
MEMORY CARD CASE: amzn.to/3xZcgeg I often use multiple memory cards in my camera, and this keeps them in one place and safe.
GIMBAL FOR PHONE: amzn.to/3zMhMkT When starting out I used my phone for all my videos and a gimbal like this was essential.
    MICROPHONE: amzn.to/3WbRhNp
DOCKING STATION: amzn.to/3zJumkW I use a docking station similar to this almost every day. The more technology I use I find this increasingly useful. It provides extra ports that my laptop does not have.

    First time watching.
Love Wickham, it's so pretty. Lots of lovely things at the Mill too.

👋 A big hello. Wickam is fab isn't it. I could spend hours browsing in the Mill, although I do have a habit of optimistically going on a Monday and having to appreciate it from the outside.

They were fab. The shop had done a great job at displaying them. If they had been in a charity shop, with charity shop prices I'd have snapped them up.

I like seeing all the things that we WOULD also see here. The little figurines that you bought, back in the 80’s we got those in packs of Red Rose brand tea. My grandparents had a huge collection of them. Whenever I see them, it always reminds me of them ripping into the box to see what figurine they got. We drank a ton of tea, just to collect those things. Thanks for the memory. 😁

      Aw, thank you.
In the UK i remember they came in Christmas crackers and have a vauge memory of them in something else too maybe PG Tips tea?
I know why food and magazines don't come with the freebies anymore but I'd love to get them in boxes of tea now.

I also watch some US thrifters and their stores are huge, like supermarkets! A woman called Laura Cauldwell finds some amazing things, often valuable, in the Oregon area where she lives (but then again, she does know what she is looking for!) Have you seen the US thrifters who go to goodwill depots where donated items are wheeled through all thrown together in huge bins/skips and you just pay by the weight of the items you want? Like you, I also enjoy watching people thrift in other parts of the world like Italy. I just love a woman on RUclips called Vintage Weekends who lives near Venice but travels all over.

      @tinymouse.travel  3 месяца назад

Yes, Vintage Weekends is the lady I watch in Italy! I love how she looks for silk scarfs and her husband looks for vintage clocks. They are so lucky to live near Venice! I don't think I've seen Laura Cauldwells channel so I'll check her out but someone you might like is Kathleen illustrated 😊

Hi Tinymouse, first time viewer here and you have piqued my interest. I won't subscribe today, but I most probably will, it's just that I like to watch a couple of anyone's before I commit. Smashing video, but I wonder if you'd mind if I just make a tiny suggestion? It's meant kindly and of course entirely up to you how you video, but I wonder if you could pick up and examine a few of the items that interest you or catch your attention. And maybe describe some of them a little more too, just in general terms. It just makes things a little more personal and gives us some extra information as well as showing us what YOU like! Very good luck with your channel and I'm sure I'll be hitting that subscribe button pretty soon! 👍😊. I forgot to say I loved your haul, especially your Moomin cards...such fun for journaling projects!

Ah yes! I do on some of my other thrift videos. When I edited this video i realised how much I has just looked with my eyes. In the antique shops at the start I got a feeling that it was a look dont touch kind of place some was even behind glass cabinets to protect it 😬

The blue glass vases at the beginning. I have one of these from my husband’s nana but in pink. I use it a lot for single blooms.
