That’s a nifty little bike right there. Nothing but Nostalgia, brings back my child hood memories I had a brand one when I was a little boy back in the day.
Some People Like It Rupp Money can't buy happiness but it can buy you a mini bike and that's what I call happiness. Let that boy boogie woogie Indeed ~
I remember these RUPPS!!! Only One in neighborhood back in 1970!!!! A lot of Honda mini trail 50s and Honda 70 s !! A few Sears and Montgomery wards mini bikes!!!! HONDA QA 50 was mine!!!!!!!!
Never had one of their mini bikes, but we had a Rupp Nitro 340, and a 440 sled, when I was a kid. That 440...That will rip your house off the foundation, drag it down your driveway, down the street........
@@mikeschlup5279 Not really sure how fast either were. Both were fast, but my dad tuned the 440. It could probably do 100 on the right day. I never rode the 340 faster than maybe 40, and only rode the 440 with my dad on the back.
@@DetroitMicroSound all I know I almost got blown off the back...we went down a serious sled riding hill and onto a 150 yard open field we covered in seconds...I think I screamed like a little girl...
Jeez...all these bikes... had an Uncle in Bellows Falls Vermont who ran a Ski-Doo Shop, Sales and Repair and he also sold these too, 3 different Models if memory serves, this one included, and one with Lights...so far almost every bike you guys have shown I've either seen, owned or knew someone who owned them...the memories...
I had a beat up one of these when I was in 9th or 10th grade high school. 1976? I cobbled it together enough to ride it 3 miles to school every day until I finally got my driver's license. As I recall one day going back home, the carburetor bolts loosened up & it died. Got it running on the side of the road & made it home.
My grandpa bought a 1969 Rupp for his grandsons to have fun with. It had a disc brake, and I never thought of our family as rich. Oh well, I suppose it’s in the eye 👁️ of the beholder.
Other than a used Lil Indian the only other minibike i had i built from a Schwinn Orange Crate using the frame & the springer front end & a minibike tire in the rear & the bicycle tire up front, a string for the throttle & sneakers for my brakes. Scary fast with 3.5 Briggs on it. Had a friend's brother do the cut & welding for me in exchange to ride it. Lots of fun when you're a kid in the 70s. Look out Peter Fonda LOL !!
HAD 2 RUPPS GROWING UP FIRST THINGS I RODE..STARTED MY LOVE OF MOTORCYCLES.. THIS RUPP IS KINDA ODD.. NO HEAD LIGHT.. REAR MAG WITH SPOKES UP FRONT IS ODD.. BUT THIS ONE IS STILL A COOL MACHINE.. I HAD MILES OF SMILES WITH MINE !!!!
Dayumm guys there's what I got at 5yrs old..Rupp road master mine was called!! Hellyes!!! The one I had was older..but almost the same..I also had a Rupp go kart too..that was also bad ass!! Nice💪🇺🇸🇬🇧
that is a 1970 Rupp roadster. it is not a rupp roadster 2. it is very different and the wheels are 10 dia and the 1971-75 have 12" rims, different front suspension, and a longer swingarm. you will have to change the decal on the tank. peter klinck
I actually have a ton of minibikes and member of alot of groups great to finally see a vintage mini I own a hustler it's in pieces and tank needs work but it's a labor of love my uncle had a 69 Indian and when I was a kid was bit by the bug beautiful example kaplan cycles!
Wow a bike Jr. Can't even handle. Unreal ,This bike won't Rip your house off the foundation fellas, it'll fuckin throw it off! Lmao what a beast. You pissed off at the old man Kenny 🤣
Nice! How many CCs? Would like to see a Rupp L100cc motocross bike at some point. That was the first serious dirtbike my neighbor bought after a Honda Z50, when we were little kids.
It's a real clean bike my rupp roadster had lights also hAd 5hp. B&s with a dellorto carb horstman cam &header stock ? Not hardly I still have my first bike cat endura I hit Powerball I'll be up there
Nice machine, but a bit of a cobble job. Those are 70 Roadster forks, I have a 70 Roadster in the garage awaiting restoration, and they had a silver fuel tank as well as headlight and taillight. Roadster 2 were traditional telescopic forks. The rear wheel looks like Bandit or Hustler, have a Bandit also in the garage, no front brake only rear. Regardless, nice piece, would love to have it...
Doing a good job Jr’Kaplan next video you have to put the American flag cape on🤣I’d rather ripppp that ruppppp instead of riding a bicycle for transportation if I was in that position 🤙🏻
First off that’s a 1970. Roadster had a headlight and tail light in 1970. The roadster2 came out in 1971. Also front rim should be chrome and rear rim is wrong all together. Not original paint on the tank or handgrips.
That’s a nifty little bike right there. Nothing but Nostalgia, brings back my child hood memories I had a brand one when I was a little boy back in the day.
Rupp, Honda 50 and Honda trail 70 were my dream bikes back in the 70's.

Gorgeous 70's vintage Minibike. Jimmy, made that bike sound and run awesome. Jimmy Is Da Man! Y'all's guys are the best! ML&R

Had a buddy with a 440 sled...scared the crap out of me ...70 or 80 mph?

Ok Jr taking over the bike presentation video production . Way to go. 😀👍

The Black Widow was the coolest 😎👍🏻😁
Results may vary. Holy shit Jr that got me!
Why the two different style wheel's?, spoked front wheel, and mag style rear wheel?

only the rich kid who never rode had a factory Rupp. We rode bikes with a tire brake ,mismatched grips and a carpeted seat. 🇺🇸GBA FJB
You weren't any kind of any special rider
My grandpa bought a 1969 Rupp for his grandsons to have fun with. It had a disc brake, and I never thought of our family as rich. Oh well, I suppose it’s in the eye 👁️ of the beholder.
Mini bikes had to be some of the coolest things to an eleven-year-old back in the mid to late 1960s.

Tons of nostalgia with this one for me. Looks like it could use steering stops though. Looks like the handlebars turned all the way hit the gas tank.
I wish you was around to sup up my 1971 Rupp Roadster 2 back in the 70’s. Then I could have beat the Honda CT 70’s that most of my friends had.
Nice lil Rupp jr
God bless America 🇺🇸

The bike that started it all for me.1970 Rupp scrambler, mine was blue.
Nice bike ,but the number plate completely ruins it, it’s supposed to be a chrome headlight.
Always wanted one back in the early 70s
You guys should do a video of yall just riding around having fun around the museum!
That is the longest I ever saw a Rupps Tecumseh motor run AND start! Are you sure a B&S was not slipped -in?😉
how true!
U make anything look fun boys lol
That's a rupp Enduro not a roadster and those wheels belong on a scrambler or hustler
I grew up on a Rupp Enduro very similar to that.
Wow a bike Jr. Can't even handle. Unreal ,This bike won't Rip your house off the foundation fellas, it'll fuckin throw it off! Lmao what a beast. You pissed off at the old man Kenny 🤣

Incorrect wheels and lighting missing but still a sweet ride
Torque converter, 3..5 hp,number plate yep that's it.
