I so enjoy the idle chit chat and stories. Just when I'm think your distracted and we'll never hear the ending, you always come thru. Thanksgiving in the ladies bathroom would have been quite the story for years to come, it glad you got out! I loved your hunt!
@@MiamiDetectorist yeah I thought I really did it that time 🤣. Not only was I locked in the ladies room, but I left my phone in the truck so I couldn't even call for help 🤣😂🤣😂. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving Miami till the next time happy hunting!
I took my metal detecting change to the bank today, all the coins i found in 2024, $150, but i think its a bit less coins then most people do, on account that $100 was toonies and loonies, so it was only $50 in quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies on the year Maybe i can detect for longer next year, sometimes i only detected for 30 minutes a session some of the times i got out, if i doubled the time im out detecting, maybe i could double the coins, $300 would be a super nice pay day Although i spend around $50 a week on groceries so the $150 is almost a month of groceries for me, it was still a nice payday
I remember when I would find $800-900 in clad a year. With less and less people carrying cash you just don't find as much change as you used to. I also used to cherry pick and just dig coin numbers. Didn't find much jewelry back then 😂. Metal detecting is one of the few hobbies where you get some of your money back lol.
I always hear you say “41, 42 is a nice silver ring number”. Every time I am out detecting those numbers are normally an aluminum bottle cap. I was out detecting an exposed lake swimming beach and found a small silver ring on a 41! I immediately thought “ that dang Texan Detector!”
Those aluminum twist tops sound good, I always think they are going to be a copper penny, but I should realize they sound bigger, I'm still not great at telling size of the object by sound
@digginggopher I normally use the pinpoint on the Legend and move across the signal on an x and y axis to determine the size of the object. Works more times than not. I’m still fooled by those a lot of the time!
@DirtMcGirt2024 I do that as well sometimes. Most of the time now I just start to pull the coil back as I swing and right where the signal falls off is where the target is.
So, how did you get out of the bathroom? Was the door just stuck? Good story…. Glad to see your week starting off better, you had a rough week last week so lots of coins is awesome.
@@DiggingTimesPast well I think the only reason I got inside in the first place is the door doesn't close properly. Then I went inside and closed it lol. But after a little wiggling and a quick bump with the old shoulder it popped open. Close call though lol
