How did the Spectre intake work out? I had the same on a 434 SBC and found it flowed less than a traditional 14x3". Swapped on the dyno and HP went up from 532rwhp to 554rwhp on back to back runs. The Spectre intake was really choking flow. I had no choice when the engine was in my Porsche 928 due to hood clearance and lack of aftermarket hoods. But with the 427 SBC in my C3 I went traditional air cleaner for now. Though I still have to get the higher rise l88 hood or other option to clear. Still may go back to the Spectre as I like the look and it's a street car. No track time until I get the rear beefed up.
I really prefer the L88 hood like the one here in this video. There are other hood designs but for my taste this one compliments the sharp crisp lines of this model/style of the Stingrays. This Corvette is decked out just right and not overly modified to make it appear over the top and taking away the Stingrays really great lines. Great job to whomever did the body mods and the paint also. Oh and 600 hp doesn't hurt the hidden elegance under the hood. I want one very similar to this Vette. But I want mine to be powered by a twin turbo LS7. Because the LS7 is all aluminum and can produce hp numbers in the 1000 hp range and all the way past 1500 hp with the correct turbocharger system and Nelson racing engines (NRE) can make a 427 LS engine be completely tame when driven easy but their engines can become absolutely insane when called upon to show what a real Chevy LS motor is capable of doing.
