Well to introduce myself,
I Have been in the fish keeping for more than two decades.
Like most of you, it all started with a hobby and gradually turned into a profession.
But I still consider myself as a hobbyist
Coz it's more a passion than a profession.
Over the years I have raised many fish species such as guppies,endlers, freshwater angelfish, oscars, arrowanas Sting rays and discus.
And had success in breeding fish varieties like guppies, fresh water angelfish, discus and Flowerhorns.
Through the RUclips Channel medium would love to share my experience and knowledge in fish keeping and breeding over the years.
As my channel name suggests my videos would mostly focus on the Discus fish but also I would upload some of my fish videos other than Discus which I had raised and bred in past years and also from fish keepers and Breeders.
I would also love to cover other hobbyist, breeders, raisers and professionals in fish keeping and through RUclips medium would share their experience, knowledge, tips and tricks to all the viewers.

Very nice vineel and discus ninja. Thought to just further clarify vineel's point being a dr. Heat accelerates bacterial multiplication. And in that process of multiplication bacteria take up antibiotic which then kills or inhibits it. Bacteria multiply by fission ie divide into two.

Why gills swelling happens?

1gm for 100 L water is the dosage for antibiotics. And pp batch should be light pink colour.
And the swelling is because the fish find it difficult to breathe so they have to open gills more wide for intake of oxygen due to which the bacteria gets attached to the gills very easily. Hence the name gill fluke.

@@DiscusNinja thank you.. I have 6 discuss with one having confirmed Gill Fluke. Treating that with antibiotics in a separate tank.
But what would you advise I do for the other 5 Discus as a precaution? They are not showing any symptoms.
I have increased temperature for 31C and added 500gms rock salt. Tank is 550L
Sir I will advise to treat the entire tank coz even if you treat the affected one in a hospital tank there are many chances that the bacteria might be present in your main tank

If yes then there’s no remedy for it
Once stunned will remain for its lifetime
Although if you can see earlier you can separate it and feed more
Bullying is one of the main reasons for stunning
But the stunned fish will live it’s normal lifespan like any other fish and will also breed

I use 1 gm for 100 L. However if the fish r heavily infected then the dose would b higher. I ll try to explain the dosage part as well in future videos.
