      Thank you much fir the kind words Robert.
      It may be " just a cooker" but I believe it should be done well if you have the capability to do so. Hopefully, the series will give others the confidence to attack their own builds and perhaps even generate new ideas and processes.

      Lol. It takes a lot of work to keep it clean and clear of clutter. Anything I'm not immediately using stays in a shed. Its amazing how fast one can clutter up a shop.
      I worked in a tiny space for many years. It's nice to have room to move around.

    Is your horizontal bands on top of the vertical bands?

    Awesome videos!!! Do you have a cut file or measurements for those hinges.

      I do not distribute the files for my hardware. I do sell the hardware itself, however. Thanks.

    Thinking of buying the hinges but was curious what do you use for door stops?

    • @mysticsmokers3014
      @mysticsmokers3014  5 месяцев назад

      Funny, you ask this at this point. I'm literally drawing a fold down door stop as I'm typing this.
      It will have two short blades like the hinge, but the long part will have a locking slot.
      It will lay down matching the radius of the tank when not in use.
      When you are ready to cook, just flip it up and let it drop into its locked position.

    I am enjoying the 250 gal cooker build series. Do you make your hinges or purchase them?

    • @mysticsmokers3014
      @mysticsmokers3014  Год назад

      I make and sell the laser cut hinges and other hardware. You can find them on my website mysticsmokers.com or the Etsy shop by the same name.
      Thanks for the kind words.

    The 250 gallon tank that I have is spiral welded, similar to a barber pole. Have you ever built a smoker from one like mine? Am I going to run into trouble when cutting open the doors?

    • @mysticsmokers3014
      @mysticsmokers3014  11 месяцев назад

      I cut a pipe like that several years that belonged to a customer. It flexed so much that it knocked the grinder out of my hand.
      I have avoided them since.
      This was before Facebook build groups. I'd ask that question in one of those groups.
      I'm sure there are grades or classes of that pipe. Some may be safer. The one I had was downright dangerous.

    What's the inner diameter of a 250???

    • @mysticsmokers3014
      @mysticsmokers3014  Год назад +1

      The outer diameter is 30".
      If the tank is 1/4" wall thickness, that gives us 29.5". But not all tanks are the same thickness.
      If you tell me what you need that measurements for, I may be able to guide you further. Feel free to email me at mysticsmokers@gmail.com
