Hosts are there to ask questions. They have that delivery to make to us the audience. It is not their responsibility that guests underestimate how deep host can get. When guests regret what they say on the spot, it is not the hosts' fault. Friends or not, this is a SHOW and even if a host knows you that well, the audience doesn't. And the host is responsible to bring them up to speed with the relevant follow up questions and clarity statements to paint the picture to people who don't know.
The guests are all adults with brains, ridiculing people for things you said WILLINGLY just because the clips trended is unfair. You were asked and you answered the way you did
