Tuscany and Umbria with Tauck 2023

Tauck has perfected this itinerary. A Week In Tuscany and Umbria has been operated 62 times and is another one of Tauck's exceptional tours. Starting at a medieval estate/villa outside Florence built in the late 1500s and ending in a posh hotel in downtown Rome. We visited beautiful small towns of Arezzo, Gubbio, Assisi, Perugia, Spoleto and Narni on our trip through the Italian countryside. Of course the food and the wine were outstanding and plentiful but we also enjoyed the most interesting sights and activities. Besides being personally escorted on walking tours through the historic towns and villages by knowledgeable local guides, we were treated to a winery tour, a cooking school (entertained by a world class Michelin rated chef), a four course lunch served al fresco amongst the vines in a vineyard, truffle hunting with an expert guide and his trained truffle hunting dog AND a tour of a subterranean prison and torture chamber. We had a great time, met new friends and our our experience with Tauck could not have been any better.
