Great podcast. Andy Bell is a genuine legend - Ride's first two albums are astounding!!
Thank you :) Please check out the Johnny Borrell episode (he played in Razorlight)... and the Pastel episode!!!
Saw RIDE in Atlanta in 1992 with Pale Saints and even talked gear with Andy a bit after the show; peak experience for me.
Such a fantastic interview. Thank you for all your work. Saw Pastel last night at Rough Trade, Notts. Always support you when your bands play in Notts & my wife has got all your labels vinyl output. It was my wife that discovered your label and music. She's cool!
your support is appreciated!!
did you manage to catch Marseille?
I did see them. I am from Derby and have seen them a couple of times. They're a decent band.
No-one mentions Hurricane No.1 when they talk about Andy Bell, which were a pretty decent Britpop effort
Or Beady Eye 😜
@@48Ender48 true. I guess they were both his 'break up bands' 😃
Don’t live in the same world was a great tune by Hurricane #1 👌🏻
What a great interview! I really enjoyed watching this. Andy, you are a supercool guy and very inspired and talented musician. I only regret not being able to see Glok in live, as the tour is UK exclusive. Andy, please come back in France, with Ride, Glok, or as a solo artist (your two solo albums are awesome, as well as the remixes and the covers).
What a really nice fella Andy Bell and to top it all interesting as well , some great stories in there ,and I'll be listening to Afflecks Palace too
It feels like 20 lifetimes ago, but I was the biggest Ride fan back when I was 16/17 years old. I'm in Melbourne, Australia, so it was a little harder to find their stuff. This was pre internet, so it really was a labour of love finding bands you wanted to get to know. It was a whole journey in itself! I wouldn't have the enthusiasm these days!!😅
Superb interview - I loved every minute of this
Thanks Gareth. Please check out our other videos!!!
This was absolutely brilliant. What a great interview and Andy is super chill.
Would you ever consider reaching out to Gem Archer and Chris Sharrock please? Both would be superb guests . Thanks so much 🙏 ❤
they'd be great guests.... would love to chat to Chris Sharrock about The Las.
Met Andy in Glasgow yesterday . Sound fella 👍👍👍
Fantastic interview on so many levels. Bravo.
This is SO good. I’ve been following ALL of this music since 1990. I have pretty much every record mentioned. Brilliant to hear from you both. Thanks.
thank you, real pleased you enjoyed our chat... please check out our Pastel & Johnny Borrell from Razorlight videos!!!
Played a show with Radiohead in Oxford (went to uni, there). Love Ride, and appreciate the recording insights. Thank you!
Great interview…. Great to see Andy doing well…… I met him in Vegas 2005 in the bar before the gig when oasis played the house of blues…. Really good guy👍👍
thank you - please check out our other episodes :)
Thank you J. Great interview!
ahhh pleased you enjoyed it :)
Great interview, off to listen to some Glok now! Keep it coming
thanks! Glok tracks to get you started would be "Dirty Hugs" & "That Time Of Night" x
Got to love Andy B! Great interview!
Great interview, Andy Bell a total gent
What a refreshing interview. Was nice to hear from another member of Oasis who you don't normally hear many interviews from. Just like two mates talking. Would love to hear a Vega Rally episode.
thanks Steven - yeah, his perspective from joining Oasis was great... plus his obvious interest in Creation Records trajectory, The Stone Roses etc... shows hes a fan as well as a musician, just like we are.
Really enjoying this chat so far 31:42 the way through 👌
thanks Simon
ANDY BELL IS A MASSIVE INFLUENCE IN OUR BAND
Brilliant interview! Would love to read a book from him, insane career and a genius songwriter.
thank you - pleased you enjoyed it. i'm sure he'll do an autobiography at some point.. what a musical journey hes had eh?
Andy get ya guitar ready for the reunion 😄
ha - not sure about that... but thanks for watching :) did you see our Johnny Borrell from Razorlight episode? :)
Loaded this on Google podcasts and went on a long walk. Great listen
thank you, pleased you enjoyed it :) check out the Johnny Borrell podcast if you get a moment... he has some super interesting stories involving Quentin Tarrentino and Courtney Love!
Good interview.. Andy seems like a great guy.. super guitar player
Really enjoyed this. Great work on the podcast btw! Could listen to Andy Bell’s stories all day…such an interesting, humble guy. Look forward to the next one. Some suggestions of Gem & Sharrock…that would be very cool! Keep up the good work mate. 🙌🎶

My 3 most memorable gigs was Wembley 2000 coz liam was smashed, old Trafford cricket oasis infront of Andy everytime he strummed the bass I got a vibration through my body and beady eye notts rock city 2011 it was amazing they was so loud I could hear the gig for about 6 hours later.
Aquí apoyando a Andy ❤🙌 desde México 🇲🇽
DBTT is one of the greatest albums ever. And Andy’s “Turn Up The Sun” kicks it off.
Even doys is a top album! I like too much !!
What a cool interview!

For the Oasis fans, Andy talks about how he joined Oasis at 1:10.
This was fucking great. Thank you.

Excellent 👍
Great channel, subscribed :)
thank you ;)
Brilliant interview! Great to hear about the early days of Ride and get an insight into Andy's 'non-technical' approach to most of his career. Fascinating. Thanks! 😄
thank you - please check out my other episodes with Pastel & Johnny Borrell!!
Loved it
Brilliant.
thank you Luigi!!!
10:25 - nice
Brilliant this 👏
thanks Michael - feel free to check out my other episodes with Johnny Borrell et al :)
Now that the Oasis reunion is official, it would be great to have Andy back because it’s highly unlikely Guigsy would do it, and it would be preferable to have someone with history in the band as opposed to someone new. But it’s totally understandable if Andy would rather stay with Ride and not go back to playing bass. At least I saw him with Oasis twice back in the day. And when I met him after Ride played in Indonesia, I got him to sign my Oasis and Beady Eye CDs and I told him he was the coolest one in the band. And would likely still be if he rejoined, judging by this interview!
i think gem can play bass so i could see it being bonehead and gem
bueno estantes
in which minute he starts talking about Liams voice?

Hey Jay. How easy is it to get hold of Andy for an interview? I've got a RUclips channel and would love to host a zoom interview with him online!
where is Guigsy ?
❤

Poderia ter legendas em outros idiomas.
nice opening song. what's it called?
Its a song called Spinner (This Must Be Love) by Afflecks Palace
Brilliant ❤
Andy your shoe laces are undone
The shades 😎 are on the the wrong dude here matey😅
yes, Andy looks good with a pair
hes cool with or without the RayBans - thanks for watching! @@dsam900
Every tune CAN be improved with a little wah-wah!
Shouldn’t Andy be the one wearing the sunglasses lol
nah - looks cool without em :)
It would be sooooooo easy to get oasis back together 😢 Noel’s got Sharrock and Gem, Andy is clearly ready to Rock, Liam can throw in a bonus Bonehead- !!!! It’s right there!!!!!
but do any of them want an Oasis reunion at this point.... thats the question? :) thanks for watching!
Your a dreamer
@@michaelgill1203A dreamer dreams, she never dies 😜
Noel- fuck all that "Noel" and "Liam" shit. Can I have everybody singing Who the fuck is Andy Bell?
Superb live album…Liam’s rants are epic
What was the song in the intro
hi - its a song called "Spinner (This Must Be Love) by my band; Afflecks Palace
"Who the f*** is Andy Bell?!" 😆
Wearing sunglasses whilst conducting an interview. Are you sure??
Positive - thanks for the watching! :)
That lovely manc accent :)
lol he's from oxford
I'm not talking about Andy - and if you must know, Andy Bell was actually born in Wales.@@greensgreens5386
Not been funny but Oasis was never Oasis again after Guigs, Whitey, Bonehead and Tony left.
Your band is called Afflecks Palace? Jesus wept that’s abysmal. 😂
fortunately.... no one cares what Robert Loader thinks about anything lol.
Oasis imposter along with Gem
nonsense lol.
Gem and Andy are more talented musicians than Bonehead and Guigsy, plus they both contributed to song writing in oasis, Andy’s “turn up the sun” track on don’t believe the truth is one of the best songs on the album, you just have nostalgia bias pal because Bonehead and Guigsy were part of the oasis golden period.
@@ValfulaTi here we have an example of another one of those guys who’s still living in 1995 and expects Noel to walk around in parkas giving the V sign to press in his 50s, move on lad will you, the 90s were great but they’re long gone 😂
@@ValfulaTi fella I’m 40 years old, but I do find it funny the way you keep calling me kid as a way of somehow undermining me to cover up a deep insecurity 😂, So which original line up are we talking about?, because Alan white was part of the golden age of oasis but he wasn’t an “original” member either pal lol, I think you’re over estimating how integral Bonehead and Guigsy were, oasis became what they did in the 90s because Noel wrote two of the best rock n roll albums in history and Liam is an incredible front man, of course 94-97 were the best years I’ve never said otherwise you helmet, but to dismiss everything they did post 2000 as terrible just because it wasn’t the same line up running around punching the press screaming mad fer it is quite frankly hilarious, they were never going to top those first two albums but they’ve made some fantastic songs with Gem and Andy, what this shows pal is your lack of maturity and inability to move with the times, you’re just a dusty old dude who’s living in the past who’s never grown up which is evident by how you talk.
All of the Oasis line ups were awesome. All musicians did a fantastic job and Oasis produced some of the best rock n roll known to mankind.
