All I would prefer is more mini figs, and it to be larger
Remember the latest versions of the AAT and the MTT? When all this stupid "downsizing" started. I was really hoping, Lego learned something from releasing these two sets prior to this new turbo tank. But obviously they didn't.
RJAWolfe07 Can't deny nor confirm this, but it sounds really likely to be the case. At least, that would explain a lot.
One day a battle map will cost $40 and only come with two minifighes.
+RJAWolfe07 I'd like to blame Disney, but luckily they have nothing to do with the Star Wars lisence Lego has. I remember how ridiculously expensive the Cars sets were.
Aloysius O'Hare it's an AT-ATC
Hazmat Hazard You know, every vehicle they make is downsized, bar a few. The At At has always been downsized, so if they ever do one, it’s gonna be downsized, it’s just not possible. Look up how large those things are, they’d me about a meter tall or more in LEGO form
Well, it may be smaller, but i like it. It looks better finished than the other versions...
And has the small walker which is cool to me
im getting a turbo tank soon but i dont know which one to get so which one do you think i should get the 2016 or the 2010?
@@zeriman77732010. I'll get the 2010 too, but later
Wow, that's so much smaller.
+lord litten covington So true. They keep downsizing it seems like
+lord litten covington Is it contagious!?😲 (failed dbz abridged reference)
+lord litten covington he is the smartest man on earth
+Cole Hersey stupid kid
+Cole Hersey Probaly he is 6 year old. .
Lego really needs too step it up....
gotta go fast- LEGO enterprise
Why is everybody beating this set to death? The thing is, LEGO have focused on making the tank great quality and that it does not break with quite an impact of something, or if it hits something. It has more detail on it as well. It is hard and would cost more to make the tank large and as sturdy as it is that size with this set. I mean you can still fit troops inside it and a lot of things inside the front cabin and rear cabin. It also has those spring loaded rocket and grenade launchers unlike the previous two which is cool. I am a fan of cannons that fire. And for those who say "you can't fit troops inside", well just replace those tiles with plates in the central compartment then you can sit troops there. So the size is not that big of a problem to me and I might still get it.
i agree
Why the fuck would lego focus on impact its fuckign retarded
And here we have the Lego salesman of the month👏👏👏👏@TheBrickGuy7939
The Lego Sets are going to be smaller and smaller, I Hate that!
yeah that is why I stopped building Lego, because it costs nearly the same
This set is way more accurate
+nick hechtel You could just build without buying sets.
It's sad but true eventually though people will stop buying and lego will have to 're think this op pricing
Or the Star Wars license became more expensive because of Disney!! :D
imagine a ucs-version in proper minifigure-scale of this
...!
That would be a couple thousand pieces to much
I could just modify my 2010 version
I did, looks much better than this
Daniel Mayayo did u include a look out tower on your 2010 one? If u did, could u explain to me how you did it
19:35 You forgot to adjust for inflation. The 2010 set is worth ~$131, and the 2005 version is worth ~$120.
On scale, none of LEGO's interpretations are to scale. The A6 Juggernaut, of which LEGO have been basing the sets off of, has wheels that are more than 4 times the size of a clone trooper. I have, however, measured, and can confirm, that this set is one minifigure (scaled to 1.83 meters, rounded to 2 meters) from being the smaller, Legends model... the A5 Juggernaut.
Mind exploded
I like the smaller one now better. I build Mocs and because of this a smaller one is really helpful
5 NEW Solid Brix Reviews in 2 days! LOVE IT!!!!!!
I legit remember watching you when I was 8 now I'm 13 and love the vids still keep it going
Lego Star Wars is getting lazy, while also getting more expensive. I'm done purchasing them tbh.
Buy the old sets instead. Much better investment.
ikr its so lame now days like the cantina force awakens jeez Lego pick it up bros
don't listen to pinapple old sets are clunky and off from 2006 and under. plus the newer minfigs are great, and the vehicles are alot more packed and have more play features, so what if they're a little smaller? some of them are bigger actually, and this set is still good, just it and the mtt are really downsized, but still fun unless your trying to reenact the movies for some reason
Andrew Bultemaa Oooh, 400 pieces dedicated to a play feature I'll use once and never use again! Sometimes less is more.
legopieface
im not just talking little missiles and crap, boo to them, but the way things unfold, or hold things, or get a handle you know. if you don't ever use those more than once, then it's clear your sets probably just sit and collect dust
I stopped buying legos a few years ago but I love your content u were the first youtuber that I started watching years ago. I have watched all u vids and will continue to! have fun in ur apartment. I plan on buying the turbo tank.
This is my favorite set in this wave tbh
My too, because I dont have a turbo tank so I buyed this new version and I like it
+Yeah bro it's because you don't know the better versions
+Marcos Buslon Not everyone is fortunate enough to own the 2010 or 2005 versions even though they are better. For some people who started with Lego later, this set is good enough.
+LightSeeker258 fair enough
+LightSeeker258 starting to become an oldie. my sets are typically 2008 to 2012, with the turbo tank and the malevolence being my favorite large sets i own.
I got this set few weeks ago and I really like it. The only somewhat problem is the size, but all the other things make up for it. It has great minifigs ( new Luminara and Quinlan ), the details are great and that AT RT is great ( especially cause it's so small, not like all the other oversized ones) .
LEGO is getting very stingy.
Sounds like the world today.
@@lightseeker2349 little did you know...
I've never had any kind of turbo tank, the 2010 one got discontinued when I was saving up for it. This one, despite the size, seems adequate, especially considering the prices of the old ones now
In summary it's a smaller more convenient playable version for kids of the 2005 one
Honestly I would much rather have a first order star destroyer
it doesn't have to small it could just be the size of the 2014 one
+Conner Edlauer yeah good luck building the docks and all those complicated sloping shit
You mean a resurgent class star destroyer?
Jeffrey Muu yeah it could be close to what the size of the 2014 one or the venator class cruiser from the clone wars
I have never had a large Clone Turbo Tank before so I will just get this. I have the Microfighters Clone Turbo Tank though.
Technically, the AT-ST is known as the "chicken walker", but I suppose AT-RTs have a similar way of walking. Lol :P
Nice review! Have you considered doing a moc mixing allthe best features of each clone turbo tank, Dave?
Yeah! That would be awesome!
Artifex Creations has a RC moc of the turbo tank
I have seen that it is so cool.
In my opinion, this set needed more clone troopers.
Yeah and 2 walkers
I remember getting this for my birthday. I still have it and love it!
Certain youtubers deserve 1M+ Subscribes, such as Noble Artist or Solid Brix Studios. But, They need more ideas, different video ideas, more things. For example, Solid Brix studios should do more moc building, ( he already did ), and stop motion. With all those minificgures You have, You should stop motion like certain battles from clones wars but in Lego form. Or custom battles. That will get your attention, and grab more. It may take time, work and effort, but it all is worth it when you see your youtube check in the mail with tons of 0s behind large numbers.
In this era, we still use steering wheels..
Well you know what, since I never had ANY T tanks. I'm quite happy buying this set and just upsizing it with spare parts, Isn't that the beauty of lego? Plus I really love the lil AT-RTs.
I've never owned the 2006 or 2010 versions, so the size isn't really a problem for me. I do think it looks a bit small, but the detail and the modifications I've made (a removable clone deployment platform and an improved scout tower) make up for that.
When you want to buy this set but your broke as shit
True we could build our own if we look up the the instruction online
+Rijfvmjiwvfeovfnovfwdnojjowndvfjnivwfnjiwvf then how will you get the parts?
+Rijfvmjiwvfeovfnovfwdnojjowndvfjnivwfnjiwvf then how will you get the parts?
Go on eBay buy the older ones when you get the cash this one is no where near worth the money.
Brick Link
Whoah man, don't get a common grenade confused with a THERMAL DETONATOR! Big difference dude... Great vid btw.
I'm a bit surprised they didn't include Yoda like from episode 3 order 66 where Yoda slices off Commander Gree and a scout troopers heads off.
this set may be small, but it fits in the 2 lanes on road plates, so you can run it down your city streets, and run everything and everyone over.
Omg it's back! 😃. I need to buy one
I don't care if it's small but cool still.
That review was neat
I'm glad that we get new quinlin vos and luminara unduli minifigures
I like this set! I never had a turbo tank and this one is decent!!!
your lego videos are pretty cool
I really want that set I'm probably gonna get it for my birthday
Notice how only the prequel sets are getting smaller. ( turbo tank, mtt, aat).
Finally a Clone Wars era set!
Love it!
Hey SolidBrix Studios, HELP ME OUT! Do I buy this Turbo tank, or the Star Wars Rebels AT-TE, with the 5th brother and the clones Rex, Wolffe and Greagor? I would appreciate your personal opinion on this subject, but I welcome any other suggestions!
Atte or get a 2010 turbo tank off of amazon or ebay. the new turbo tank is too small and overpriced.
I've been an avid Lego Star Wars fan my whole life, but I haven't purchased any of the recent sets because they are so small and overpriced. Hoping Lego makes a return soon
Probs not. Lego will keep riding the Star Wars hype train because the movies will be a big in the years to come.
imagine a minifig scale tho amazing
Cool set
ぼくは、この動画でクローンターボタンクがはまりました買おうと思いましたありがとうございますこれからも頑張ってください
super best review👍🏼
I wish they still put the cool looking guns in the battle packs... They were really handy for stop motion animation
All the new sets are just stupid and disney is slowly making lego sets smaller and prices are just dumb
Disney isn't involved dumbass
+Crazy Mau5 Fan Disney owns Lego... Disney owns Star Wars... Fucking Disney owns everything
+Khoi Le you're an idiot for thinking that.
in the long run, disney does not control how sets are made, they only enforce what general direction the sets be made, and bask under the lego license. they're also involved in producing and marketing, though.
+Crazy Mau5 Fan well they kinda do...
ive made an empire like version just removed the dark red pieces and changed with light grey ones looks awesome
Cool video VERY Nice !
The 2010 tank is honestly the best tank, in terms of looking good while being big in size
awesome.... i will buy it
are you going to replace the old luminara with the new one in this set in your kasher moc :D
I have the 2005 version: do you recommand me to buy this one ?
What’s the music he uses when he does the building time lapse? I know it’s Star Wars one but specifically
I love turbo tanks and I don't care what people say I'm getting this set!!!!!
Lol the legs on that walker!
it is a really great set I have it and it's awsome
"Little bit of a different spin" ha, ha ha, I got that. Different spin, wheels spin, ha!
Luminaree Ubduli? Really, bruh...
Dude, I think he has a speech problem or something, calm down.
no... it was just a mispronunciation for lack of knowledge about the character...
1. That's not how u spell her name
2. If u watch ep 3 of Star Wars she is in the background
I would like a mix of all of them: 2016's sturdiness; 2010's size; 2005's look
great videos
Holy shit this is tiny compared to the other ones and it's almost the same price. Definitely not worth it in my opinion
soo glad I have the 2010 one.
When he slammed the box on the table it scared me sooooo bad!
Very cool
I stopped buying/building lego just cuz everything is getting smaller and it costs more 🤑
True I still try to get the older sets that I don't have...
+Thundering Dragon same
So cool
+Solid Brix Studios you should do a minifigs4u at-rt driver for the at-rt
I like this set despite the size. However, I'm actually pretty surprised that there's a significant size difference between this and the 2005 one. I expected that from the 2010 version, but definitely not the 2005 one.
The small price difference makes sense since a US dollar is worth much less now than it was in 2010
in the UK you can get it for £100 but its on sale at Amazon for about £89 also at tesco it's about £89 as well so go check those sites out!
loving the steering wheel
I love this set because it's 1/3 minifig scale and that's what I build at plus everyone hates it so I can get a great price
Are you going to do a comparison video with all three sets
I found this on sale for $80, I'm think I'm going to pick it up!
I got a 2010 version, all that is left intact is a portion of the frame :(
Well, at least I finally have something that will fit on my shelf (better than my 2006 Star Destroyer, anyway).
I have all the turbo tanks, and I reckon this ones actually the best
I got mine today which is for 81 dollars (plus tax) but I really enjoy it since I've missed out on the pervious version
Where do you film the white background, the bath?
Why is everybody beating this set to death? The thing is, LEGO have focused on making the tank great quality and that it does not break with quite an impact of something, or if it hits something. It has more detail on it as well. It is hard and would cost more to make the tank large and as sturdy as it is that size with this set. And for those who say "you can't fit troops inside", well just replace those tiles with plates in the central compartment then you can sit troops there. So the size is not that big of a problem to me and I will still get it.
Nice....Finally someone who have mind!!!
Eryk Chatian I am not actually sure if I will get this one or the 2010 one. But either way, this one still had a lot of effort put into it.
I don’t know if I built mine wrong, but my doors keep caving in, and the hinges for the doors squeak alot
I don't like it when people hate on the stud shooters, people forget it's first and foremost intended to be a toy!! You can always leave them out , and it looks fine!!
I have been asking some people wether I should get this set. everyone says go for it. the main reason I was going to get it was because I never had any of the other turbo tanks. if I picked up this one it would be my first. should I get it? or try to get the clone wars one on eBay? any advice????
***** Thanks for the input!
+dominic ks yeah good luck trying to find it for 110$ and in the box 😒
idk why everyone hates the set ! I agree it's a little under scaled but it still has a lot of play features and it is very sturdy! I love them!
awesome.
I got this set and I love it actually but I do hate how small it is because if I put it up to an AT TE or gunship it doesn't look to scale
David you keep calling the missiles flick missiles. Its just spring loaded while the other form is flick fire.
I miss old Lego sets they were big and cool but I'm watching on September 28 2016 and I just built it and I thought I was missing some bags and it is so smalllllll
I'll probably wait till the next tank and hope they took fan feed back and make the next one bigger
U gonna buy UCS I have both (2010,2015) and the New one is better bcs is original saga its don't rly matter to my is smaller, all sets is smaller comprared to my death star 2 UCS....
You know what? I don’t care if it’s “too small”, it’s cool and detailed, the at-rt is cool too. But if they added more mini figs it would have justified it’s price.
360 p worth it! ;) nice vid man! reply?
Is it worth $80 though because I found it a target and was thinking about getting it
I wish they made a turbo tank more minifigure scale as to what it was in the movie so if can actually hold at least 10 clones that aren't driving or gunning and the entrance into it at the wheels like in Rogue One the whole axel thing for the wheels is a whole command post thing that leads up to the control room/ cockpit whatever the driving things called on it
That is what you call a lego star wars set!
I like the 2nd remak of the turbo tank it was bigger than the most recent I've noticed this a lot lego has been making remade sets smaller and smaller which makes me mad bc i love room for characters
I saw this at my local Walmart for 69$ no joke it is on discount should I get it?I know the price lowered but 69$ is still a lot idk if I should get it I would only want commander gree and luminara so idk
guys, 120$ in 2010 is about 130 today. And 90 in 2005 is about 110 today. Lego is getting better quality. You must take inflation into account
It's like the 2014 MTT. Much lacklaster to the previous one, yet made a lot more for children who appreciate the little things in life.
