Interesting match because of the different body types. The taller and lankier guy has longer limbs and can get more leverage, especially when on the mat. The shorter and stockier guy has a lower center of gravity and may be a bit harder to get off his feet.
Good match! Often times the shorter wrestler, since they have a lower center of gravity and their weight and power is more compact, they often get the better of these matchups, but not in this case. Sam made some excellent moves.....it was surprising when he locked in the spladle that Caleb was able to instantly get out of it and turn the tables.....must not have had it locked in super tight. Nevertheless Sam quickly turned the tables back again with a reversal of his own. As for just before the beginning of the match, the hands over the head kinda reminded me of a "laying on of hands in prayer" except they weren't actually on him and weren't praying over him (I don't think). Must've been like what another commenter said....they were symbolically transferring their strength over to him.....it must've worked!
The filming is stellar- like a referee's eye and subjective. You do very nice work.
Thank you, Adam!
